The cheesy bread was good too though maybe unnecessary since joe's gives you sourdough for the table which is delicious itself. I'd probably try the spinach and artichoke dip instead next time I got their famous hamburger for dinner and added cheese to this. When I tell you this burger is incredible I am putting it lightly. The meat is so juicy and succulent. The seasoning and flavor of the beef is the real star. The cheese adds even more richness. The sturdy sourdough bread has a such a satisfying chew while holding everything together and not getting soggy. No notes. The banana peppers on the side give you the break you need from the richness to go back in for more. The sandwich is so big I always end up taking the second half home. Fries are great too they're very reminiscent to a fresh McDonald's French fry. We finished by sharing a butter cake. It came with assorted berries, vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. I couldn't think of a better dessert to end this meal because every dish we had shined in its simplicity and execution. And the dessert was no different. The caramelized edges of the cake added so much texture and flavor. The berries gave that much needed tartness and the ice cream brought everything together. She briefly checked and told me she did not have the orders. The line was long, so I understand things can get hectic, but it did not feel like she was making much of an effort to actually verify the orders. She even misheard my name and was about to hand a sandwich to someone else under a completely different name. At that point, I became concerned that one of my sandwiches might have already been given to another customer. After I continued asking her to check, she somehow found one of my orders in the same area she had already looked. However, only one of the two sandwiches was there. I showed her my Clover receipt again, including the date, timestamp, transaction information, and order details. Instead of trying to resolve the issue, she told me she did not know how to use the Clover system and could only search by name. She then told me I needed to contact Clover myself. I was honestly shocked because she was the manager but said she did not know how to use the restaurant's ordering system. When I explained I could not find a customer support number for Clover and asked what she could do to resolve the missing order, her response was essentially, "I don't know what you want me to do about it." I asked how the restaurant communicates with Clover when there is a problem with the system or how they diagnose issues with the device. Again, she said she didn't know and that the owner was responsible for the Clover system. I asked if I could speak with the owner and requested a contact number. She refused to provide one and told me I could come in early on a weekday if I wanted to speak with them. I'm not from the area, so expecting me to make another trip simply to speak with the owner was not a reasonable solution. What made the situation even worse was that I did not receive a refund for the missing sandwich. I paid for two sandwiches but only received one. Despite showing proof of payment and the order details, there was no attempt to refund the missing item or offer a replacement. Whether the missing sandwich was caused by Clover, a restaurant error, or someone accidentally receiving the wrong order, I would have expected the manager to make a reasonable effort to fix the problem. Instead, I was essentially told it wasn't her problem. Mistakes happen. Technology fails. Orders get misplaced. I understand all of that. What matters is how a business handles the problem afterward. In this case, the customer service was extremely poor, and Maria's attitude made the situation considerably worse. I've also noticed other Yelp reviews mentioning similar customer-service issues, which makes me concerned this isn't an isolated experience. I hope the owner sees this review and takes the time to address what happened. Little Lucca might have good food, but good food doesn't excuse poor customer service or charging a customer for an item they never received.
