I previously left a good review, but the last couple experiences were not good. My last cut I initially thought was OK, but then once I washed it, I realized my hair in front was way too short, almost like a mullet. My daughter just had a cut there. I specifically requested Amira due to my previous experience. But she was not the one who cut my daughter's hair and it was a simple cut that's all sorts of uneven, and some parts too short. I started coming to Amira's Salon when it first opened up. The experience was great from the beginning. The salon is clean and welcoming. But as of lately it's just not the same. I went in for a hair wash and was told it would be $10. I specifically said I wanted only wash the lady then took me to the chair and began to blow dry my hair and INSISTED on cutting my hair because my ends were split. I had just been in for a Brazilian Blowout less than a month before and received a trim. I've had long hair for maybe over 2 years now. I should've never trusted her. She chopped my hair horribly. This was supposed to be a straight blunt cut. Somehow she managed to leave my hair very uneven. Even after I was done paying she sat me back down to fix it where someone else had to fix the mess up she did. If you love your hair don't trust this salon to cut your hair they will mess it up. Oh and I ended up paying $50+ $10 tip for a simple wash and a messed up haircut... save yourself the trip and your money. Things were a lot better when Mili was there. read more

Like making you tea with fresh treats or put you in the massage chair while you wait for your hair color to sit. She took her time with my facial, explaining what she was doing, the products she was using and their benefits to my skin. I found this spot on Yelp but wasn't convinced to book with them. It wasn't until my co-worker recommended them that I booked my appointment with Millie. I opted for the Brazilian blowout along with a trim. My naturally curly hair has been super dry and the fact that I have very thin hair is always a concern for me. I wasn't sure what to expect since I picked it blindly from yelp. I have been having issues with my hair falling out which is another reason I had delayed getting a haircut. I have to say that Millie or Milly? was not only informative in giving me advice how to take care of my hair, she was gentle and did a wonderful job. The price was also affordable for a haircut and wash which is usually double at other salons. I will definitely return. This location also provides other services such as nails, facials and waxes. I went there for the first time with my friend. We both wanted to get pedis, but there was only one person there. My friend wanted to get her eyebrows threaded. I never had mine threaded before. After watching her, I sat down to get mine done. LMBO! I squirmed and cried like a child! I am SO glad that Samina was patient with me. I'm also glad she didn't laugh to hard at me. THREADING + HAIRCUT First off, you really can't beat this high quality of service for such reasonable prices! I felt SO taken care of here, which is more than I can say for some really $$$ salons and $ salons I've been to. I moved to a new part of Houston, so I was looking for a new salon and threading spot nearby. I took a chance and called to make an appointment the same day, to which they were happy to accommodate to. On the phone, all my questions about pricing clarifications were addressed with no issues. The first thing I noticed was how open and clean the space is. Amira heard me walking in and greeted me, explained how to address the forms and that she was taking my temperature, and we started with my threading (brows + upper lip) then Milli did my haircut after. Threading isn't pricey in the first place, but I was delighted to see they had a brows special price + LOW PRICE upper lip threading and Amira was so professional in her work - both in her quality of the threading and kind, personable demeanor. My dark, thick brow hairs grow weirdly, so they can be sparse in some spots with some hairs growing in weird directions, so I never usually have two sister brows that I can just wear out without having to fill them in to shape, but Amira made them look SO. GOOD. I rode the feathery, thick brow wave for a little only to have overgrown and neglected them (lol) so she did thin them out but only to make them clean and even, and now I can just wear brow gel and barely have to fill them in if I want them to look more done up. She also clearly and nicely directed me on how to pull my skin so she can work her magic and she never made me feel rushed! For threading alone, I'm excited to come back as a regular. I didn't leave with a single sparse hair left that needed to be pulled out the way I do in other threading places because her threading was that good. Milli is such an awesome hair stylist! She asked what look I was going for and explained to me options for what she could do to cater to what I want, checked in with me throughout the haircut, explained her steps, made me feel comfortable while I addressed what I thought were my hair issues + gave me great advice on what products to use, and made me feel so pampered. I feel like I leave haircuts always wishing I had done something different, but Milli really nailed what I wanted and I loved being her client! These ladies truly give what I believe is top-notch service. There were two other clients in the salon with me, and I noticed how comfortable they felt with the staff here, too. Everyone here was happy and at ease, either laughing or easily making easy conversation. I'm so shocked I haven't seen more reviews on this place!
