We haven't moved in yet, however the apartment complex is really beautiful, modern and has everything you need. This review is for Rizzo and Monica, they were on top of things since day one we walked in, and we couldn't be happier. They tried to help us anyway possible and the communication was flawless. We are extremely thankful and happy to have found consultants who still care so much about future residents. I have a beloved friend who lives here, and I visited tonight and was embarrassed for him. He had reserved a spot by the pool for a barbecue. I have used several types of grills, but wanting to do things right, I read the instructions: they had nothing to do with the grill there. The instructions referenced several knobs that simply do not exist on the model in place. That was annoying, but we eventually figured out, by trial and error, how to use the grill. More important: it was filthy. It took 15 minutes for it to heat up to what I considered a sterilizing temperature, and we got our dinner started. There were clearly posted signs saying that the spa, but not the pool, nor the pool area, closed at 10. The building by-laws (yes, we are the kooky people who read such things) specifically note that quiet residents may stay beyond 10, but the intimidating and passive aggressive security people still came and harassed us. Mind you: there were loud fireworks from a city event, and an offensively loud party in one of the units, but we and two other very quiet groups by the pool were all interrogated by the security. The guards asked us for our apartment numbers, which we immediately gave, but when we asked for the security guards' names, we were refused. Most important, we had a legally registered and trained service animal in our group. The "security guards" asked us for paperwork verifying the ligitimacy of the service animal. This request was, of course, illegal. I will be making a call tomorrow to the building management asking not simply for the termination of this guard, but for a complete change in the contracting agency. I would not live in this complex if you paid me to exist there. Run away. read more

Being comfortable in my own home & the community I live in has always been a top priority & I love how Rizzo and Garrette from management make it known that it is just as important to them! Never referring this building to anyone ever. The most unsafe place to live. They never take action when other tenants are disturbing the peace. Why pay this much for rent when you have to take all matters into your own hands. There is no one to turn to when you have simple issues. The Lexington and Orange entrance to the building is always open / unlocked and they have failed to fix the lock on the door after numerous times asking to repair it. Not only to fix but for the overall safety of the tenants. read more

I lived here from 2016-2017 in a 2/2 street level apartment. Rent came out to about $3200 a month after everything was said and done. The interior of the apartments are modern and upscale. No complaints at all. The employees (custodians, groundskeepers, leasing office) are all very nice and attentive. For the most part, service request are promptly attended to. The amenities at this complex are really top-notch. The leasing office often puts events on from inviting a brewery company to sample different beers or to making candy apples. A nice touch and a way to meet-and-greet with other neighbors. The lounges and cabanas look great, but some tenants (which is to be expected at a large complex) are disrespectful in regard to taking care of the furniture (cigarette burns/disgusting stains). We only had one issue, which was eventually fixed, but imo... it took too long after we complained multiple times(six months). Strangers would randomly walk into our apartment due to a sign pointing to our apartment indicating it was the leasing office. They fixed the issue by placing a "private residence" placard on our patio. It's location to Brand Avenue shops and restaurants is a definite bonus. read more

My partner and I moved to LA across the globe from China a month ago. It was a very stressful period of time. Looking for an apartment is a big deal. But Beth, one of the property managers made our move-in stress free! She was amazing! She helped us to fill out the application form, processed the application, and arranged the move-in in just one afternoon! Another worker I would like to recognize is Pauo. I am not sure whether I spelled his name right. He is a maintenance worker here. He has always been very friendly, helpful and efficient. One day our AC stopped working, and I left an emergency maintenance request message on the phone. He appeared at our door 5 minutes later! And he and his co-worker fixed our AC very quickly. I would like to talk about the complex as well. We love our apartment complex. Before touring the complex. We did some research online and found some negative reviews such as the pool area is too noisy, people bringing too many guests, cabanas being dirty, and so on. During our tour, Beth was honest and told us that there were people who brought too many guests to the pool area which disturbed our residents. But now they reinforced a new policy where 1 resident can only bring 1 guest. It has been wonderful. They have workers cleaning the amenities every single day. I absolutely enjoy the amenities here. There is a gym, a pool, a spa, a dog park, a business center, a coffee room, a game room, a theatre and so on! Also, AMLI is super pet friendly! Whenever I have friends visiting, they are all amazed by the amenities we have. It is like living at a resort here! read more

Amanda from AMLI states in her reply below that the property cannot issue citations to tenants caught smoking on the property, and that this most be handled by the City of Glendale. Amanda, every tenant must sign a lease agreement before taking possession. In that agreement it clearly states about the property being smoke-free and that the tenant must agree to this. There is also an addendum that outlines the no smoking policies and guidelines as well as the punishment being possible termination of the lease and eviction. Each and every tenant was asked to acknowledge and sign the agreement and addendums. Therefore, if a tenant is caught smoking in the property and witnessed by property officials or monitors acting on behalf of property management, why would the City of Glendale even need to be involved? This would be a breach of agreement and punishable by the statements made by AMLI in the agreement and addendum. In such an instance, the tenant breached agreement just like they would if they didn't pay their rent within the given timeline, and subject to eviction. This has nothing to do with the City of Glendale and all to do with Lex on Orange Management. I will also make note that the on-site property manager has himself seen people smoking in the cabanas and other locations on numerous occasions. My wife and I have witnessed this and documented the dates and occurrences. During these times, we have seen the manager, Marco, twice reprimand the tenants. Did these tenants receive warning of eviction if caught again? Highly unlikely. So my question to you is what is Lex going to do about this? Signs around the property and verbal warnings mean absolutely nothing if there are no known and publically witnessed consequences. read more

After living here for almost a year, I decided to move out this apartment. I was attracted by it's great amenities and convenient location. It's hard to resist when Americana just within walking distance. However, I didn't expect that this is a truly party apartment. Every weekend, there are lots of guests who I don't think they live in this apartment party way too hard. Loud music plays till 3 am and people sings at the courtyard like they don't care. I am tired of emailing the management about this noise problem which they basically just suggest me to call police. The visiting guest policy should definitely be revised and reinforced. Otherwise the staff here is really nice especially the maintenance staffs. For anyone who is thinking about renting this place, I would highly suggest avoid units that is close to swimming pool if you need good night sleeps from Thursday - Sunday. read more

I've been meaning to write this review for sometime now as I don't want someone else to get stuck in a bad situation like I did. Let me first start by saying, if you love to smoke (especially pot), party like it's 1999, disturb the peace, play loud music until the sun comes up, let your dog crap in the hallways, don't care about security, enjoy and overcrowded loud pool experience, don't care about the theater and business center equipment working, and have little or no respect for other people, then this is the place for You! If you want a quiet peaceful sanctuary when you come back home after a long day, then run as fast as you can from Lex on Orange. The worst part for me was the noise coming from the people above me. Most apartments have a sound barrier that uses 12 inches of concrete between floors, Lex uses 6 inches and are poorly constructed. Also, the fake wood flooring amplifies the sound. It literally sounded like a heard of thundering elephants were living above me, and you CANNOT escape it until your lease ends. BUYER BEWARE! Look, if you love to party and you live on the top floor, you're probably going to really like living at this complex, but if you don't fall into this category, there's a 99.9% chance that you will not be happy. The location is awesome, but not worth the sacrifice of sanity. read more

The apartment is very nice but there are several problems in this apartment. Problem 1: There are two different address in this apartment. The address of building B is 321 N Orange St which is the leasing office locates. The address of building A is 320 N Central Ave which has no leasing office. That means the person who lives in building A will not receive the most packages. Because there are two separate address, the carrier will not find the leasing office to drop the packages. You will not find out this problem unless you moved in. When you find out this apartment on website, the address is 321 N Orange, and if you move in to the building A, the leasing office will not tell you there will be another address on that building. So to make sure the address when you move in. because if you dont have the correct address, you will get a lot of troubles. Like you put the wrong address for installing the internet. The carrier cant do anything until they change the correct address in their system. It will spend you a lot time. When you put the wrong address, the leasing office wont tell you that they are sorry for forgetting to tell you there is another address for building A. They will tell you that you put the wrong address and it is on the contract you should read it. what i can say about it. Problem 2: one bed has one parking space, two beds has two parking space. there are limits parking space in this apartment. that means if you request a new parking space,the leasing office can put you on the waiting list but you wont get it until the two beds say that they only needs one. other than these two problems, this community is prefect for now. read more

I just moved out of state and as I sit at a coffee shop I felt the need to leave a review for this epic place to live. Of maybe anyone here reviewing Lex on orange I feel I may know it best and heres why. I lived here for 3 years, and in that 3 years I lived in 3 different units. I came in with a studio apartment which I loved. Perfect for a bachelor who works 1 block away. A year and a half later my GF and I decide to move in together so I transferred to a 2bdrm which was also great. Ended up having to boot her out (not the girl in this picture, this account is very old lol) so instead of having a 2bd myself I transferred again to a studio loft (2 story) and this place was freaking amazing. Massive windows, the best view, huge balcony. I can say without a doubt this company is the best overall management company I've dealt with. All the staff is great. Manager Mike is awesome. I honestly think the best is the maintenance guys. They have bent over backwards for me when things are needed..Done same day but usually within the hour. The units are built very well. Once you close your windows you cant hear ANYTHING outside. Ive never heard my neighbors ever and this is not grandpas or grandmas building. Now compared to the rest of the brand new buildings in downtown Glendale, this place blows them all away. One of those buildings doesn't even have opening windows. One of them is great and looks amazing but then has a electric stove, and almost all of the other buildings has a pool that makes you feel like you are locked in. You look up and all you see is units all around you and you get no sun its crazy. Trust me I've looked at every other building and every time I couldn't leave. The pool here is next level, salt water, heated, and feels like a resort or vegas. You have a great view, lots of sun, rooftop feeling. The gym is 2 story, makes you want to work out. If your single this place will not disappoint, but not a rowdy crowd..Younger professionals here and not a bunch of drunk kids. Parking is good underground. Thanks to the staff again, they have gone above and beyond for me through all of the crap I put them through and have always been more than fair. If you're looking for a new place in downtown Glendale I am saving you the time, just lease here, it has everything all other places have but more and higher quality and its all more elevated at AMLI. Also if you ever have to move out of town for work or transfer, AMLI has an amazing transfer policy with super sick buildings all over the country. So you have the backing of a huge company and not some management firm that flips these buildings and sells leaving you with some crap company to manage after you move in. I feel compelled to write a review because of my experience here with this building. From the beginning it gives this show stopping appeal because of its bold choice of color with the Orange siding along the entrance of the building. I came in this weekend as My fiancé and I have been searching for a place for quite some time now. I've never felt more welcomed by the staff and in particular, Emmanuel the leasing professional in the office. He showed us pricing prior to us making our way to see what Lex on Orange has to offer and we did the process of elimination on some homes and talked about the Glendale area because we're new to the area. His energy and enthusiasm shows immensely as his excitement made us want to move in and sign right away because the place is awesome with all the common spaces. Although, it needs work in some areas of the building I really liked how modern and colorful the building is. All in all we felt the need to write a review simply because the experience with Emmanuel was wonderful and the customer service was exceptional even after the office seemed to be rather lively and we didn't schedule a time slot ahead of time, due to finding the place last minute. If you're looking in the outskirts of the LA area visit here as you won't be disappointed by the friendly environment and the knowledge these guys have about the area AND the fact that everything and anything is within walking distance..huge for my fiancé and I. read more

Yes, Lex on Orange and Emmanuel is as good as it gets! I moved a year ago to The Brand, but now I'm back at Lex. The level of management out shines the Brand on any day. Emmanuel leased a great place to us at a very competitive price for the location. The amenities are numerous in comparison to the other adjacent properties. The pool... salt water. Need I say more. The very sad juccuzzi sized pool at the Brand shouldn't even call it a pool. The doggie spa is awesome and simply the best. Wash basins and a dryer for our legged friends as well as a pee spot. I had some of my apartment walls painted with a painter recommended by the Lex staff and was very disappointed in the work the painter did. He left most corners and bottoms of the wall where the wall touches the baseboard unpainted. The edges where the walls meet are uneven and left white. I don't think he used any painters tape to get straight edges. We had the maintenance manager bring the painter back and I don't know what he did but it all looks just as bad. I'm going to have to fix it myself. We've had our apartments painted in the past and we never have had any problems. I hope you never use this painter again. I don't think I should have to pay for this shabby work. You know I hate to complain but I don't understand how the painter thought his work was acceptable. It was very unprofessional. read more

My wife and I moved into our unit at Lex On Orange a few weeks ago, and it is like a dream. The units are well-designed and spacious, and the amenities are so impressive that the community attracts a lot of visitors on the weekends (especially around the pool area) which can make it feel like Vegas at times. But our overall experience here so far has been nothing but amazing- from Michael, our leasing consultant, who took time to show us so many different units to help us find the right home, to Mario, the maintenance manager, who is so prompt and thorough with his service that we always feel safe and well taken care of. Thank you, guys. To anyone who is shopping around for your next home, you won't regret the decision to move here. My only concern is that this place may become too popular and crowded over time. Love the name, love the location and love the building! This building is fantastic top to bottom! From the amenities, to the staff and of course to my new perfect home! I needed to find a new place to call home. I was living at the Hesby in NoHo and it was amazing until new management took over and the place took a dump (the details are another story). As me and my girlfriend were on our way to the Americana, she told me about this place and I decided to go check it out. We recently noted a number of apartment buildings being built around the Americana and Lex On Orange really stuck out and looked really cool. So as I pull up, outside the building was a cool security guard and asked him if I could park. He directed me to the "future tenant parking," and I went inside. I saw a lady named Mary and she was very professional and accommodating. Even though it was her time to go home, she sat down and explained everything I needed to know about the building. To be honest, after planning to go check out the other apartments in the area, I knew I had found my dream place on the first attempt. The one month free rent was a pretty nice touch too I must say! The Units: Mary showed me a few units and they were ALL modern, clean and beautiful. One thing I can't stand is an apartment that is dirty and each unit I saw was immaculate. The appliances were all modern and they really worked on the details to make each unit look special and unique. Each unit has a washer and dryer as well which is an absolute must! The Amenities: After looking at the units, we toured the building and checked out the amenities the building had to offer. The Gym: It was furnished with a number of great workout equipment and it was exactly what I needed. It was clean and very convenient to use. At least I can save some $ on a gym membership :). The Pool: My-Ohh-Freeaking-My!! The Hesby had an amazing pool area but I think this place wins out. The pool area is beautiful! They have awesome modern cabanas and lounge chairs to make you feel like you are at a LA/Vegas hotspot. The only thing missing is the DJ and bartender (and btw they have events sometimes where they bring them). Honestly, it is way more than what any of the other apartments are offering, what more can you ask for?!? The Club Lounge & Billiard Room: Great spot to hang out with multiple TV's and a great billiard table. The modern furniture is a nice touch and very comfortable to hang out in especially when you have a few guests. Movie Room: All I could say was when Mary told me they had a movie room was, "get the f*$k out of here!." I love movies and could not get past how awesome that is. I've seen a movie room in one other building ever and I have to say it's a deal maker. Other Amenities: The barbecues are plentiful and clean so far. The conference room is actually really useful and convenient. I have meetings all the time and it would be nice to be able to just walk downstairs and have a quick meeting rather than driving in LA traffic. The yoga deck is perfect for those of you that like to do Yoga. From what I hear, Mary is a huge Yogi and sold my girlfriend on the idea. The Location: The building is located walking distance to the Americana and the Glendale Galleria which has a number of restaurants (Din Tai Fung, Cheesecake Factory, Granville, Bourbon Steak), bars and great for shopping. There is no stone left unturned here. I can't even go over everything here or I would write all day long. I can't wait to start using all the amenities!!! Thank you Mary for making my apartment feel like a home and for spending countless hours with me to make sure everything was perfect before I moved in. I was helping my boyfriend find an apartment in Glendale so he can be closer to work. We went to Icis and Americana, but we weren't too impressed. We toured Amli lex and immediately fell in love with the property. He ended up moving in a few weeks ago and is really happy. It's really cool because they have cabanas and a salt water pool. I love tanning by the pool when I come to visit him! From what he tells me, the leasing staff is really nice and helpful. I toured the property for the first time and thought it looked great! I honestly didn't expect a community this impecable to be right smack in the middle of Glendale of all places. I like how central it is to a lot of great places and the cute orange bikes that residents get to ride for free. The leasing consultant that took me on a tour was very friendly and knowledgable about the property which is a plus. It seemed like she had been working there for a while because my many questions were being answered thoroughly. I have been living here since October 2014, and I honestly can't imagine living anywhere else! The area is safe, they are dog friendly, and my husband and I have made life long friends here (we just moved to California). Diana in the leasing office is really nice, and so is the maintenance manager! They are the best. Any maintenance issue we have had (which none of them have been major bc the appliances are new and really nice), they have fixed it quickly! Love the woof top! The only annoying thing about living here are some of the neighbors facing the pool area who love to complain about noise and kids splashing in the pool, so before signing a lease by the pool, just know what you are getting into! It is a pool, people will party and want to have fun there! It's LA- the weather is nice almost all year round! don't be that neighbor that everyone dislikes! read more

Even one star is too much. I live here! I am a resident but since Garrett started working here I can't wait to live. I am writing this review but my hands are shaking cause I am so upset right now. First of he has a power trip...in a sick way. He has no respect to residents. Yes when you first go there and want a tour. ... he is so awesome, he greets you, answers all your questions and very professional but once you are a residents you will know what i am talking about. He has absolutely no respect, he is rude, disrespectful and he thinks he owns the whole complex. he deliberately makes you upset. today I came from work and parked my car at future residents for 5 minutes just to pick up my dog. Office was closed for lunch and there were many spots open. For the third time as soon as I return back to the car i see a tow away sticker on my window that is very hard to remove. 5 minutes. Every time i park for 5 minutes he does that. If someone parks somewhere that he /she is not supposed to usually the owner waits an hour before they call the tow truck. 5 minutes he puts the sticker on my window he doesn't even wait. He knows my car and he knows me. This is the third time. this is only one example. I complained to Marco but no result. I and other residents pay so much money here and this is how they treat us. no difference between the residents or anyone else that don't live there. We are supposed to feel like home but they treat you like no other. All their amenities that you see are all broken. The fire pit at the court yard hasn't been working since February this year. All their TV's don't work, their TV in theater doesn't work either. I am not exaggerating anything here. Ask any other residents. I am okay with that and I tolerate it but disrespect I do not tolerate. read more
