This spot is amazing!…read more We shared 2 orders of garlic naan and one order of butter chicken with rice! A perfect date night spot and meal. The food was absolutely incredible, and full of spice and flavor. The restaurant is pretty, clean, and a great vibe. The service was quick, the staff were very attentive! A lovely evening at a lovely restaurant! Definitely recommend for both tourists and locals!

My first thought was that one comes to Williamsburg expecting like a vegetable pastie or…read moregingerbread or something, not Indian food. To be fair though, India and Williamsburg were both British colonies. Having said that, this particular Indian restaurant has a Goan-influenced menu, which is actually the historically Portuguese part of India. There is a lot worth trying. It was a pleasant setting with indoor and outdoor tables; given the rain and wind I sat inside even though the outdoor tables were covered. Spoiled for choice, I got a fairly straightforward lentil soup to start before ordering a more adventurous dish of tofu and mushrooms in an onion-heavy curry. They offered the option to order okra as a side dish, which I don't usually see but jumped at the chance to do. An aloo paratha on the side was quite filling and good for mopping up the curry. Salt was a bit excessive, particularly with the bread I think. The actual amount of tofu in my curry could have been more, but the flavors were abundant. My chai arrived unsweetened and with options to sweeten it myself, which I deferred on. A lot of people got takeout, but for a place to eat in and get a high quality and regionally distinctive meal, this place fit the bill.

The space is BEAUTIFUL and definitely date night or girls night out vibes. For drinks, I did the strawberry basil spritz and it was super refreshing. We decided to order and share family style mostly because I had never had Indian food before. One of the friends isn't a spice girl so we did the lowest level of heat for everything. As someone who likes a little spice, I would probably go one level up in the future. Vegetable Biryani - This was the spiciest thing we had and it was super flavorful. Butter Chicken - This was definitely a reorder item - simply yummy. It was served with white rice. Garlic Naan - The naan was very garlicy which I love. It does linger on the breath so highly recommend a mint after dinner. Char-Grilled Salmon Tikka - This was the only thing I was a little disappointed in. The Salmon was cooked perfectly, but there wasn't a ton of flavor. The vegetables it came with was undercooked.

It was absolutely just a good as it was 8 months ago. Our server and all the staff were very friendly and attentive. I'm sure our water and sweet tea glasses were filled 2 or 3 times without asking. The food: well we like what we had before so much the wifey and I had same things. Her, the Saag with Chicken and me, the Shrimp & Chicken Zafrani. Both tasted great. The only thing is for me - I do wish my meal had maybe 1 more shrimp and 1 more chicken piece. Now this was the lunch meals, so maybe the dinner meal has a bit more. But still for $20 it was a nice meal. As for the location: Still after 8 months, looks great, well kept and clean. I will be back again and recommend you give this place a chance.

The ambience feels like a very nice, cozy Indian restaurant, and the staff were super friendly, warm, and attentive. A friend and I asked for a table for two and did not have to wait long before the server came to take our order. We got the masala dosa, chicken seekh kebab, butter chicken, garlic naan and the Bhindi (okra). The dosa, which came first, came with excellent sambar and coconut chutney. It can be very difficult to find authentic tasting coconut chutney at Indian restaurants, but this one really brought the flavor and was a highlight of the meal. The sambar was also very authentic and tasty. The dosa itself was crispy and hit the spot. The north Indian dishes also tasted great, the chicken kebab was tender and came with onions and peppers, which was a nice touched. The butter chicken was one of the better butter, chicken dishes I've had in recent memory and the Bhindi/okra was not too oily and packed with flavor. Next time I'm back in Williamsburg, I would love to come here again and can't wait.

But when you have a lot of restaurants in Hampton Roads, you do lose track. Anyway, let's see how our stay went. We were greeted by the staff when we walked inside. There weren't a lot of people dining for lunch which was fine for the both of us. The less the crowd, the better. There were some tables that needed to be cleaned, but the staff did take care of it before we left. After a few minutes, we were ready to order. Here's what we had: -Strawberry Lassi (for myself) and Mango Lassi (for Sophia, not pictured below). The both of us enjoyed our selections which we've had before. So no descriptions are needed. -Tandoori salmon (for myself) and chicken hakka noodles (for Sophia, not pictured). I'm a sucker for tandoori dishes so this one was a home run. And salmon is fish that I enjoy eating so it was a no-brainer to select. It was cooked perfectly and seasoned great. Sophia enjoyed her meal as well. Another great visit here. Thanks again Aago for taking great care of us. Till next time :)

During our visits here, we've hardly had any issues with meals we ordered. Shall we get into the details? Foot traffic was minimal when we arrived and were seated immediately. We were served water and their homemade chai tea. The vibe was welcoming with soft music playing in the background. After a few minutes, we were ready to order. I selected their chicken schezwan hakka noodle dish along with garlic naan bread to share with Sophia. The noodle dish was very good. I chose the mild spice and it was just right. There was so much served it took me three meals to finish the whole plate. Unfortunately, the garlic naan was underwhelming. When we received the order, it was hard to chew and the garlic taste wasn't strong. Usually, naan is soft when served, but not this time. Despite the naan disappointment, both of us walked away full. A dish like this I could order again the next time we stop by. Till next time :)
