3 meat hibachi meal.
Barrett F.

Staff was very kind and gracious when I entered the store. There is very limited seating therefore truly a takeout restaurant. Woman at counter explained the menu today. I order the hibachi Buddha with all 3 meats and a chicken yak. The hibachi was delicious with good flavors. My only issue was only getting 3 shrimp for the price but they were really delicious . The chicken yak was my only disappointment because I am used to yak having lots of broth and this had very little at the bottom and the noodles were slightly overcooked. The flavor of the brother was great! I'd would definitely go back and continue to try other items. I wish them the best.

Yesterday was my first visit to Hibachi Buddha and I ordered two veggie egg rolls, shrimp fried rice, beef lo mein, and general tso's chicken. I knew from the moment my bag of food was handed to me I was in for a treat because it smelled AMAZING! All the proteins were high quality and cooked perfectly. I usually won't order General Tso's chicken and even some beef dishes at many takeout Americanized Chinese/hibachi places because the meat is often overly breaded, dry, with low quality pieces of meat. The quality of this general tso chicken was the best I've ever had. You must use the sauces!! The yum yum sauce & soy ginger sauce are best paired together on your meal. And they're not spicy for anyone who is trying to avoid heat. Just full of flavor! The veggies in the egg roll were so fresh and included broccoli which was a nice surprise. Took about 25 minutes - everything is made fresh to order and you can absolutely tell the difference. Take out only - there are three small tables inside you can sit and wait for your order. They also sell a variety of soft drinks. I can't wait to return and continue to support this business

From the moment you walk in your welcomed with vibrant happy colors and the husband and wife team that make this place stand out. Food was very yummy and the smell in my car driving home made my mouth water. The egg rolls are amazing and the dipping sauces are yummy. I had beef and broccoli with fried rice portion was huge and yummy. Will be going back for sure.

Chicken lo mein, and beef and broccoli with fried rice. Not picture, shrimp eggroll, which was amazing.

Chicken lo mein, and beef and broccoli with fried rice. Not picture, shrimp eggroll, which was superior to all other eggrolls ive had on earth. The eggroll is worth the trip alone. Lo mein and fried rice were very good, especially with the included sauces. The beef and chicken were done perfectly. Dude in the back was crushing it and lady in the front was polite and welcoming. Please try this out!

If you are expecting deeply authentic Japanese cuisine, you will be disappointed, this is just good, fresh Asian-inspired food with good side portions and solid meats and seafood. Better preparation than your average Chinese place, even if it isn't your typical Chinese restaurant flavor. Prices are above normal, but is on par with what you get, most people aren't finishing a whole dish. Egg rolls are heavenly. Take out only.

This is my pork egg roll & the chicken fried rice. The yum yum sauce & ginger soy sauce are outstanding!

Great food and service. The sauces are great too! I wish I lived closer but the next time I'm in Williamsburg I'll be at Hibachi Buddha.

What better than to be surrounded by quotes and eat great food. Such a novel idea (pun intended)…read morefor a restaurant. The entire place has quotes posted all over. My obsession with quotes started in high school where I would scribble them all over my notebooks and folders. So in honor of my bday weekend, my inner teen got a gift too. Additionally there are cute cards on the table with riddles/ conversation starters and court cases that the table can discuss and try and guess the ruling. The food. Admittedly, we came here for the quotes and the apple nachos so I can't speak much to the food other than we split some fried ravioli, a rack of ribs and a side of mac & cheese that were absolutely delightful. As for those apple nachos, they almost hit the perfect mark and could've done so with a drizzle of caramel. Our waiter was eager to accommodate us and grab us some caramel, but we told him never mind just a suggestion to the Chef. The ribs were cooked perfectly fall off the bone with not too much sauce and that mac & cheese was divine. Service was on point, food delicious, and ambience - perfection. Highly recommend, especially if you're vacationing in Williamsburg it is a unique treat that you won't find anywhere else.

Our server , Eric, was super friendly and helpful with the menu. Food came out really fast. Stuffed mushrooms were the bomb. Not only was the ribs delicious but the meat fell off the bone. The crab grilled cheese sandwich was awesome. The shrimp chowder was okay. What turned this review from 4 to 5 was the bread pudding. To die for. Right amount of sweetness and topped with ice cream. The beer flight of local beers was fun.

Had this Cuban style pork with their sweet plantains and red bean with pork and a little bit of yucca in it.. remember to get the Yucca fries which are fantastic. But before I go further, I must say me and my husband tried their authentic Cuban sandwich, which is fabulous, but you have to have it with their three sauces. The wonderful part about the sandwiches that it's not mash down flat as a grilled cheese sandwich. It is light, airy, and crispy with plenty of meat and the right slice of Swiss cheese in between.. it wasn't busy for a Monday night, but the service was spot on! We will be back to try some more authentic Cuban food here. Enjoy your new experience.

The beef empanada had a great fried exterior but the filling fell flat. The ham croqueta was actually amazing, and I wish I had more of it. The fried yuca was fine but nothing special. And the sauces that came with this appetizer were pretty good. I ordered the vaca frita, under the impression that it would be flavorful and have a caramelized crisp on the outside. It had no flavor. I didn't see a speck of seasoning. The beef was chewy and isn't have the crisp that it was supposed to have. I squeezed the lemon that came with it over the meat and it did nothing for it. The vegetales salteados (roasted veggies) and the plantains were both delicious. I ordered a Coke Zero and was given a bottle, which was fine but not expected. The bottle had an expiration date of a month ago. Didn't realize it until about halfway through. We sat next to the door and had to swat at a fly and gnat throughout the meal. Annoying but i don't know what they could've done about that.

We had a wonderful experience eating here…read more We have lived in this area our whole lives and had never eaten here. We decided to give it a try and we we're definitely happy we did. The price was expensive for 2 people, $130 including tip but that included wine, appraiser and 2 full meals. The server was very friendly and professional. Our food was outstanding! Probably one of the best seafood restaurants we have ever been to. Definitely will return. Now we know where to go for our next special occasion.

It always sucks to have to write a tough review for a place that does seem to try so hard…read more Unfortunately, the food here really has much room for improvement. Let's start with the good. There's plenty of parking and the ambiance of this place is memorable, in a really dated (like borderline cheesy nautical decor) 80's kind of way. This place is also insanely dark, which seems to try and convey a romantic atmosphere, but it's just plain dark if you ask me. Now sadly, the food really is, for lack of a better word, pretty bad across the board. If there's anything on the menu you should stay the hell away from, it's definitely the French onion soup. The soup itself was so salty, it was absolutely inedible. It was promptly sent back and replaced with a clam chowder, which was on the other end of the spectrum - totally bland and absolutely devoid of any meaningful flavor. The entrees were no better. The stuffed flounder was expensive but tasted nowhere close to the price tag. The fish, like the chowder, was completely devoid of flavor and was not seasoned. The crab stuffing was mushy and not appetizing. Generally speaking, there was nothing appetizing about the meal, including the palate cleanser, which had no discernible taste as well (even though it was supposed to be some kind of lime sherbet of sorts). Again, this place tries hard to be upscale, but absolutely falls flat on the food. Even the rolls and opening weird coffee cake like kind of bread they serve were bland or tasted off. The service was also spotty and confusing all night. Our server was friendly and did do her best to keep up, but generally the food took a long time and it took 20 minutes to even get water. At least the host was friendly and the staff in general did seem to try their best despite being not up to par to the kind of upscale experience they try to emulate. At least the meal ended alright. The flambe dessert (I chose peach) was a nice little show, mostly because this old fashioned dated experience is literally nowhere to be seen in the NYC area these days, so it was nice to sort of relive a cheesy memory. The taste of the dessert was also a nice throwback to older times, though I'm not sure if this was meant to be an actual nostalgia trip here. In the end, given the presence of better dining options close by, I'd say you're better off going somewhere else.
