It was clean, driver was nice and price was fair. Second day the cab was yellow cab and so raggedy and bumpy I thought it might break down. The driver blabbed and blabbed about living in New York the entire ride. Instead of going staying on Jefferson and hitting Mercury he jumped on the highway making it a much longer ride, got off on the wrong exit going the wrong way!!! What should have been a 20 dollar ride was a whopping 32. 50. Clearly I got ripped off.

I received 3 confirmation emails telling me that all was well with my reservation , and the cab would be there at 6:15 am . The following morning at 6:15 am , my cab is not there , so I call the dispatcher . . I used this cab company twice and had different experiences both times. The first was when we took…read morea cab from the airport to the Hampton Roads area, the second was when we took a cab from Waterside Marketplace to a destination which was about 7 miles away. The first cab driver was a bit on the slow side. It took him a few minutes to think of a restaurant to recommend to us in the city, and when my cell phone rang while he was talking, he didn't seem happy that he was interrupted. He also used a pretty derogatory slang term to describe some of the ethnic population in Norfolk and didn't have any receipts to give us when it was time for us to pay him. The second cab driver was awesome. He was driving a fully loaded Lincoln SUV with motorized doors to gain entry into the back seats, he was knowledgeable about the area and was well spoken. He earned a nice tip and we took his card in case we needed another taxi at some point over the weekend.

I dropped off my car for some service and needed a ride home to pick up my truck so I brought up the Uber app on my phone and requested a ride. Getting a ride through the app was quick and easy, I only had to wait about five minutes for the driver to arrive at my location. The car was clean and comfortable, the driver was very polite, friendly and professional. We engaged in pleasant conversation throughout the short trip. I have used taxi cab services in the past but after my experience with Uber I think it will be my first option going forward. I am happy to have their service as a transportation option.

The app worked with no issues and provided the necessary information of pricing, arrival time and car details with tag number. I really like the fact it's a flat fee as opposed to a taxi. I have used Uber out of Norfolk over half dozen times. I have also have pre ordered my driver the night before and that worked flawlessly. Not all rides have been four stars, but I will average with some three stars. I can't say I've ever had a ride that warrants a full 5. My recent out of Norfolk International to Home worked very well. The car was clean, the driver was nice and no hitches. The price was around $2 cheaper than my normal taxi fee. I tipped off the app. I have used both Lyft and Uber with similar good results. I'm using Uber more now since my status has better pricing. I would recommend Uber in Norfolk.
