I came in and my nails were awful but she gave me a fabulous full set! My pedicure wasn't done as good as my nails but I will come back just bc of how well my nails are done. Probably get a different tech on my pedicure, the only flaw was shellac polish wasn't done the best and my feet are very dry at the bottom and dead skin wasn't scrubbed away. She also explained that "gel" nails ARE shellac nails (which I didn't know). This is my second time visiting-- the first was also an excellent experience for the Royal Gel Pedicure that I'm still rocking after 2 weeks! Michelle was amazing! I was initially nervous as I have the SNS Dip and it can be pretty damaging to my cuticles and nails since they are SUPER thin and heat sensitive-- it was also my wedding day and I was cutting it pretty close and needed them to be perfect for that afternoon I was in great hands!! Michelle was incredibly gentle and thorough. She always checked in on me-- if I liked the shape of my nails, was soft around my cuticles when using the electric file and made sure to keep my hands moisturized. She helped to pick out a great color for me since I was going back and forth between a few and made sure the dip was thin and made to look very natural! i do not recommend this nail ship unless you want to be overcharged and then given back their selected amount of the money they overcharged you for. kimmy did both my nails and toes today, i walked in and asked for the price list. as listed the pedicure i received was $33 +$10 for the two acrylic toes and $33 for the white pearl tip service... totaling me to $76. when it comes time to pay she then says $83 which i did not think much of until about five minutes after paying. after i tell her she has overcharged me she tries to argue with me and say that the additional $7 was for length but as you can see i received no length and instead of her giving me my full $7 she only gives $5. This will be my last time coming to this establishment!!! My daughter and I are regulars at this salon. More me than her but I was treating her to a little princess mani-pedi for doing awesome in school and over the break. It started with us walking in and waiting for our services. We picked out our colors as usual. My daughter chose one color but as normal had moments where she thought about changing her color going back and forth to the color stand. Another mother & daughter walked in behind us after another woman. (So 3 people after our arrival). We are patiently waiting as we had no problem doing, however I got a little frustrated when they sat the other mother-daughter before us. So I kindly asked if we were next and the owner stated she would be doing ours. O.K. noted. However, why would they be seated in chairs before us if we were also getting the same services? Anyway, my daughter left her nail polish on the sink and went to retrieve when she accidentally dropped and broke the red she had picked out. No big deal. I have seen grown women do the same so I go to the restroom to get paper towels as the women who all work their continue to work. During this time another young woman walks in. As I am running back and forth getting paper towels, my daughter made sure the new customer avoided the area that had glass from the bottle as well as bright red nail polish (she is 7 and taking care of the other customers). The nice woman informed me my daughter made sure to tell her to be careful in the vicinity because the shop and owner had no intentions of stating anything. The owner then seats everyone that has come in after us and still hasn't really directed me in the best way to clean the spill or offer help or make sure the glass was off the floor for the safety of those around. The kind woman saw I was doing all I could to clean the accident and asks for another towel to help me clean up. As we are scrubbing the floor, the owner comes and finally starts squirting the acetone on the area. The stench is nauseating. Myself and the other woman continue to scrub and the woman gets the bottle from the owner. We continue to clean until its as clean as we can get it. The helping woman states how ridiculous it was for us to be doing so. Then finally we can both no longer squat and seem to have spot-cleaned it, the owner comes over. I politely say we are leaving. My daughter has red polish all over her foot and the helping woman states we need to clean her off. The owner does not seem to care at any manner. I refuse for the acetone to be placed on my daughters skin and the other woman asks for a damp paper towel for her. I tell them both we live right around the corner and I'd rather clean her off at home. I'm extremely frustrated at this point again because it was a simple accident. We were treated as we were a disgrace as if they haven't received PLENTY of our money and my business over the course of the last 3 years. My daughter was upset and I was trying to reassure her it was an accident and they acted as if we were the dirt on their shoes. We were a complete after thought and as an owner of an establishment, I'd think you would render aid especially if your other customers could be in jeopardy of glass in their foots or staining their shoes. As we got in the car, I then had to explain to my daughter how people should be treated and why we were not helped. read more

Did not like their customer service. I went in for mani and pedi. I wanted gel color polish, the guy told me it's only $15 (which is too cheap for gel ) so I asked again and he said no only 15$. The way he shaped my natural nails is horrible. Every nail is a different shape and size. And the way he applied the nail polish is very UNEVEN!!! He tried put my slipper on after my pedi, messed up one of my nails so I told him and he didn't fix it properly, he just added extra nail polish on top so now it looks more "crumble" . I moved here a year ago and recently been to this place. The atmosphere is so relaxing, kinda makes u feel like ur escaping the chaos of every day life. Their designs colors and techniques to nails are fantastic. The staff is very friendly and always ensures your comfortable and offer you complimentary drinks. This was my first and last experience at this nail salon. Please note that when you come they expect you to bring your own kit and supplies. If you don't have one then you can buy one for $2. $2 is nothing but this is not something that I normally experience at other nail salon. I was also informed of this after I put my feet into their spa equipment. The $25 for the spa pedicure is about the same price that I usually pay. Overall, the ladies were polite and I was please with my pedicure. The reason for the low rating is upon checkout. The owner SCOWLED my sister and I for not having cash. WOW. Seriously?!?! You have a sign that says you accept credit cards. Her reason for this was that the employees will not receive the tip. Why not? I put the tip in the line that says for tip and I was charge that amount. Tell me how my manicurist wouldn't get the tip unless you, as the owner, are not going to give it to her. I was livid for being talk to that way as a paying customer. The only thing I can think of is that she doesn't want to claim cash tips for tax purposes. Maybe she thought she could talk to us like that because we look young and are Vietnamese ourselves. RUDE! RUDE! She told me that next time I better bring cash. Yeah lady that ain't happening. Great experience here! The decor is fancy and appealing. Service was on point. Everyone was extremely attentive. I was immediately offered a beverage (alcohol also available) when I walked in. I was seated and asked if I wanted the chair massage on (Yes please!). There was no wait even without an appointment on a Saturday afternoon. Got the classic manicure ($12) and classic pedicure ($25). They were nice and let me try out a couple of colors. The pedicure massage was properly timed for 5 minutes. DO NOT GO HERE. Oh my...I just returned from this place and had such an upsetting experience. I requested a pedicure and refill. First: The woman doing my refil took quite a chunk of skin early on. It was BLEEDING. She paid it no mind. After I said something she then tried to clean it up but then proceeded to nick me about FIVE MORE TIMES. I asked her multiple times to please be careful and that she was hurting me. She paid no attention. Second: She ruined my nail shape. Some of them do not match. They are very uneven. Each finger looks like it came from a different hand. Third: The primer used to adhere the gel got on my skin on two fingers. It BURNED me. I was in so much pain I wanted to cry. I kept saying my finger burns and pulled away and she paid no mind. Finally the woman doing my feet said something to her. THEN she got up to try to help. I asked if I could wash my hands, I was told no. I was given a bowl of water to soak. This helped a bit but not entirely. Finally another woman put something on and another (had quite the crowd) told her to be careful about my skin. The slightest touch hurt immensely. As I type this my fingers still hurt. Fourth: I turned right back around and was nice but requested a refund. After I got into my car I realized I had been taken advantage. I was polite and asked to speak to a manager. Up walked a woman I had not seen before. I shared with her I was literally in pain...my fingers burned, the other woman messed up my nails...none of them matched and you could see the chunk of skin that had been taken out. She said no, we don't give refunds. I told her I paid for a service but I am not happy and I am hurting. She said no. And began to walk off. I told her my pedicure was fine...I would pay for that but my nails were not okay. She still said no. I told her I felt my only option was to call the police because I didn't know what else to do. She said fine...call police. And walked off. My pedicure is fine. That woman did a good job. But I won't be returning and I will see on Monday if I can report to BBB. It really is horrible when a consumer gets treated this way. I will now have to go to another salon to get a whole new set. I understand this is a small problem to have in comparison to say those with no home or food. But I didn't deserve this. Don't waste time or money...plenty of other salons in the area. read more

This is a long one, but worth the read. I am extremely disappointed, embarrassed and enlightened all at the same time. I have been going to this place for years. I even gave them a second chance after entering their establishment for the first time to see a little girl watching guard over spilled nail polish on the floor. The little girl looked very sad as she motioned to the floor so I would not step on the polish. Her mother quickly returned with paper towels to try and clean the spill that I found out later her daughter accidentally made. The employees went along with business as usual. One employee came over and handed the mother more paper towels as she was on hand and knees. Not knowing what transpired before I entered, I immediately began helping the mother. I asked for nail polish remover because it was difficult to get up with dry paper towels. Later, the mother posted a comment on YELP regarding her encounter which is when I finally understood. The child was no more than 7 or 8. I copied the mother's response and pasted on Facebook. People commented with outrage. Now to my experience. I went in today to get a pedicure and decided to get a manicure as well. The lovely lady who sat me in the chair turned and spoke to another employee in their native tongue to ask her to do my pedicure when she finished with her client and she would do my manicure. The employee responded in her native tongue and I could see the look of confusion on my person's face. She came back and said she would not do it because the last time I did not like. I asked her to give me a towel so I can try my feet and leave. She pleaded with me to stay. As I was leaving, the owner asked me why and this is what I said: "I'm embarrassed and disappointed. She said she wouldn't service me because the last time I did not like. I did have an issue with her service, expressed it and she fixed it. A customer should be allowed to do that without repercussions. I was neither loud nor rude with her. You, owner, were there. People often wonder what you guys are talking about when you speak in your native tongue. Now I see she was talking about me." The owner said that was not what it was about. It was not her turn in the rotation. I told her that is what she told the lady who was about to service me. The two of them started speaking in their native language and it appears that the lady confirmed my account of the situation. I left and will not be returning. All people should be treated with courtesy and respect. read more

I wasn't about to write a review on Amore, but the more I think about it the more mad I get. I have been coming to the location for a couple of months now. My experiences have been pleasant except for the past 2 times . Andy is the man who always does my nails there. I actually request him each time because he's good. About 2 weeks ago, I was there and couldn't make up my mind on the colors I wanted for my nails. I could tell he was getting quite impatient. But it wasn't like he had people waiting on him . I let his slight attitude go just because I was indecisive, and maybe he was having a bad day. But I go in their today, request Andy again... no greeting from him, just "you know what colors you want?" He was so rough with my hands today that I had to ask him twice was everything ok. He offered me water but never brought it to me. Yet he asked another customer if they wanted one and got it for them. I thought that would be the time he would see me , bring me the water, and apologize for forgetting .. None of that today!!! He stayed on his phone ALOT today.. I asked him about a scent that was on a hot towel he put on me when he finished my manicure. He made me out of a joke with his sarcasm as he went to check to see what it was. Pretty much making all the employees laugh at me. But as I thought about it, I noticed the manager wasn't there. And you know what they say...when the boss is away, the mice will play!!!! They are quite professional and detail when she's there... And the kicker was when he finished my nails, he just left to finish texting. There was no "thank you" or "see you next time". The manager is a sweetheart, but Andy is Rude. Customer Service is Everything even when the manager is not around. I will Never be back here Again!!! P.S.
