Typical Long Island pizza place. Pies are ok. Great service. Large selection. And goos specials

I don't go here anymore. There is a guy that works there, or maybe he is the owner, and he always looks miserable . He doesn't smile or greet you. Once he answered the phone with "hello". Hello??? You can just sense the anger coming from him. He barely greets you and doesn't thank you. Sometimes he delivers food to me and always has the same miserable angry face on. It's an older guy with gray hair and beard. Pro tip: if you don't like customer service, then hang out in the back and cook the food and let other people handle the counter.

This was my first time ordering from Amore. I ordered a large cheese pie with mushrooms and onions. Large cheese pie is $16.95, mushrooms $4.00, onions $4.00. Came to almost $28.00, which isn't a problem, but darn it, at least put $8.00 worth of toppings on it!! The mushrooms were cut in tiny bits and the onions were so thin, they looked like pieces of string. The pizza was fair, but could have been tastier.

Ask the guy at the front desk for rj he will give you a good time and the food was so good I loved it

I was recently introduced to this pizzeria and have been blown away! My buddy randomly found it and ordered a pie of the buffalo chicken pizza - WOW! This instantly became my new favorite slice of pizza. The buffalo sauce and chicken are outstanding...they even throw sesame seeds on the crust. This is an absolute KILLER of a pie! I've long been of the opinion that the best buffalo slice in the area is at Rosa's in the village and Amore definitely gives Rosa's a run for their money. I'm sure this is debatable depending on tastes/preferences but if you like buffalo chicken pizza - do yourself a favor and check out Amore ASAPPPPPP!!!!!

Comes with no mozzarella and instead they used ricotta. That's not a Stromboli. Plus it's supposed to be rolled not folded.

Getting one star bc it's close to my house and a second one bc , while the staff is un -knowledgeable, they were friendly. As someone who's owned a pizzeria I know the basics plus some when it comes to pizza etc. So I Ordered a Stromboli and I wanted extra salami. She looks at me in a questioning way. Why? Because she did not know that there is salami in the Stromboli. The counter girl didn't know what comes in a Stromboli. ???? Anyway I told her it comes w ham pepperoni salami and mozzarella cheese. I did not say ricotta. I got home and what is in my Stromboli but no mozzarella cheese and instead there is ricotta cheese. Yuck Which brings me to my phone call that I made to the store. A man gets on the phone and tells me that he's been working there for over 20 years and that THAT is how they make them at Amore. Well how about making them the way the customer wants them to be made? He did offer to re-make it my way which I did appreciate. But no thanks I didn't want it anymore. And one more thing , please put the Stromboli in a small pizza box. They put it on a flimsy paper plate along w a cup of sauce and then into a paper bag. It wouldn't (couldn't ) stay straight. By the time I got it home it was a hot mess...

Amore ended up becoming my go to pizza since I moved out here. It's always very solid pizza. Knots are pretty good too.

Both were excellent. I'm glad my cousin doesn't have my appetite because I sure finished more than my portion of that creamed spinach. It may have been the best I ever had. The only negative for me was the bread served at the table was mediocre - but the olive oil dipping sauce was excellent as well.

What a bummer !!!…read more Before writing this review, I made sure to come back several times, on Friday nights, to see if my experience was just a one-off. Unfortunately, things have definitely changed. The vibe that once made this place special just isn't there anymore. On a Friday night, the atmosphere feels flat, and even the lighting could use some work (Too Bright) it would benefit from being dimmed to create a more inviting and energetic setting. The staff doesn't seem as engaged as they once were, and sadly, the food isn't hitting the same either. The biggest disappointment, however, has been the music. The DJs don't seem to know how to read the crowd. When most of the room is sitting down and barely even bobbing their heads, it's probably time to switch things up and get some energy flowing. The one bright spot is Mike behind the bar. He's still on point, keeps the drinks coming, and provides the level of service that keeps customers happy. I truly enjoyed this place in the past, which makes it even more disappointing to see it heading in this direction. I'm hoping management takes notice and brings back the atmosphere that made people want to keep coming back.
