There were so many options and I couldn't decide which to try. So we opted for some sets to get a taste of different sashimis - amore's favorites and deluxe sushi. Sashimi were really fresh, and both came with miso soups. The service was also really fast!! Our server was super attentive and welcoming. This is a solid place for any sushi lovers who like classic sushi. Plus that it's a lowkey, quiet place to enjoy your sushi! Btw - there is free parking on Broadway. Accidentally paid for parking before seeing the sign at the entrance of restaurant

The restaurant is cozy, with a minimalist vibe. There are red lanterns and some wall art. Not overdone, and feels modern. Music is hip and plays at a reasonable volume. For food, I ordered the "Snow White" and "Adult Only" Maki's, and an Unagi Nigiri. The eel nigiri was great! The rice was excellent, and the eel wasn't only savory as can be, but lightly roasty and smoky tasting! This isn't the grocery store microwaved variety! Not drowning in sauce, either! With the Adult Only: It has a little heat, some solid crunch, freshness, even just a little hint of sweetness. Now, while some pieces have less salmon within than others, the tuna on top more than makes up for it. Finally, when I happily devour half before trying with soy sauce, that is a testament to how good this roll is. The Snow White was not as much of a winner. It felt as though the flavors and textures of the pieces were overpowered by the rice and jalapeño (by texture, not so much heat). It also felt like the rice got more sear than the white tuna, which ended up bland instead of roasted. The service also could have been just a touch better. I felt it could have been a little more attentive in terms of water and checking in. The food came out in a reasonable time frame. Finally, where it comes to value, the prices are a little up there, but in return you get a solid portion of ample sized pieces. Thus, while I will likely not order the Snow White again, I would be happy to come back to order the Adult Only, as well as try some more of their offerings.

Great sushi!!! We went for Valentine's Day and they had such cute decor, drinks special, and presentation for Valentine's Day. Fun drinks and great presentation. Excellent service and a cute atmosphere.

List of items you can make requests on

Tried to place an order via DoorDash. I have an avocado allergy and when I tried to make a request not to have any avocado received a message that they don't take special requests. Avocado is not on the list of items you can modify. Can't say whether or not they are a good restaurant as I decided against ordering from a restaurant you can't notify via the ordering app food allergies/sensitivities.

Good sushi and service. Some fun rolls like the cubs one. What you'd expect from a sushi place

The food here was really delicious. The portions sizes were big for a sushi place and it was priced well. The place is cute, service is fast and everyone was kind! I'll go back.

Travelled a distance for this fairly new sushi restaurant in the heart of the LGBTQ community of Chicago and for the most part, it didn't disappoint. First off, I wish it was advertised more visibly there was free parking nearby on broadway. Had to walk about 5 city blocks to get here in 32F weather. Understandably, we were a little rushed as they were closing in an hour upon our arrival but they still managed to serve us amazing looking and tasting dishes. The interior was well decorated and the plating for each dish look meticulously prepared, which was noticed and appreciated. I was not too pleased there were fish bones in my Sashimi considering the price paid for the 15 pieces. If it hadn't been for that, this would be a 5 star review. Prices for this place is definitely on the pricier side for sushi so don't come here if you're looking to save some dollars. I'd like to come back and try their Omakase which was reasonably priced at $56.95 for 9 courses.

I've never had better or fancier maki rolls. Everything was delicious. One small complaint: the edamame were mushy and overcooked.

Making the trek from the burbs to the city on a Saturday night is a pain these days so when we do…read moreso we like to make it worth it. And Omakase on Me was well worth it from both an entertainment and food perspective. I had booked this for our anniversary about a month ago after seeing the stellar reviews and we are huge sushi fans. I didn't research too much so wasn't exactly sure how it worked, but the surprise was part of the fun. We arrived for our 7:30pm reservation and were asked to sit to the side until everyone arrived. I figured they'd take us to a table in the back, but then realized there's just one bar where everyone sits. They do 3 seatings a night: 530pm, 7:30pm and 9:30pm. Our entire experience was about an hour of 15 min and we left super full and well entertained. There are 16 courses. I believe about 5 appetizers, followed by many sushi courses, 1 hand roll and finally a delicious cheesecake for dessert. I was super full around course #8 and my husband had to start helping me out even though it was all so good. It wasn't the best sushi I've ever had, but really good by Chicago standards. We were sitting next to a lovely couple from Seattle where they do have a really good fresh sushi and they were fans too. The presentation was so fun that you'll definitely want to keep your phone handy to take pics and videos. And the staff was upbeat, hilarious and so nice! They also kept the sake flowing. They do offer other drinks, but we really didn't need to order on top of all of the sake. Our total ended up being around $400, which is pricey for a meal for 2 but felt like it was a show plus sushi...and such a unique experience. My husband loved it all and thanked me for finding something super fun to celebrate our anniversary. On your way out you'll also have the opportunity to sign the wall. For the cost I think it was a one time experience for a date night, but i do think it would be a blast to fill the place with a bunch of friends so maybe we'll do that at some point!

Said Sake Boy and Chef Bankky (sp?) will make sure you Enjoy Your F*cking Dinner. They put on a great show while serving 16 really nice, varied bites accompanied by great, classic rock and pop. Eclectic atmosphere, like a 70's basement with console stereo, posters and albums on display accented with random neon, including in the restroom. We appreciated that they did their thing for just the 2 of us on a recent Wednesday 5:30p seating. It could be a great dinner party if you came with a group... Creative nigiri, a handroll, interesting serving vessels highlighted interesting fish and flavor combos, with a bit of uni, Wagyu, and caviar thrown in for good measure. Will definitely return.

The staff were friendly and greeted everyone when coming in. We all wanted to try a little bit of everything. So we all ordered multiple things to share. The ube muffins were nice and warm when it came out. It was baked perfectly! I can appreciate a good mini muffin that isn't dry. Next we had the deviled eggs.....I think I could have went without it. I might have expected a little bit more. It had a slight curry taste to it. But it reminded me of a normal deviled egg. The steak and eggs was a nice portion! I think it could have been shared, if you and the table are ordering multiple items. The skirt steak came with kimchi fried rice, sunny side up egg, gailan, and scallions. The salmon & avocado temaki set was so cute! I think it was one of my favorites! It came with a side of seaweed so you can make your own handroll. My one friend ordered the southport set. The presentation was nice, but the katsu was a little in the dry side for me. We all shared the honey butter toast. It was the perfect amount of sweetness to it! The chantilly cream gave it that perfect balance. The perfect way to end a meal. I will definitely have to come back for the dinner!!
