First time alert! Learned about Rice N' Bread via DoorDash searching for bulgogi First, I like that you can custom your order as I prefer no carrots and that's an option to remove. The food arrived during the delivery slot, kinda cold but warmed up in the microwave. The portion size was enough to share or have leftovers, the beer wasn't as seasoned as I've had before but good, definitely order the egg rolls, and a side of kimchi for some kick! I'll definitely be a return order-er!

What an incredible restaurant and such a hidden gem so close to Wrigley Field! I was walking around the area with my family and we decided to grab dinner here. We weren't sure what to expect. There was no wait time and the server was so nice and helpful. We ended up ordering a lot of food. We got the crispy tofu, bacon kimchi fried rice, kimmari, bul dak and some other items I forgot the name of. The bul dak is a deep fried boneless chicken in spicy chili pepper sauce. It was so good and tender! I would come back for this item alone. The bacon fried rice and appetizers hit the spot. Everything was delicious, no complaints at all. The restaurant is a good size and brings a nice vibe to it when you enter. A bunch of photos on the wall which I think was when they were on tv. Overall, a fun dining experience and can't wait to be back. Thank you Rice'N Bread!

The restaurant has an interesting blend of Korean and American food. We tried: - Kimmari - Beef Bulgogi - Yang Nyum Chicken - RnB Burger My favorite was the Kimmari - a fried seaweed and noodle wrap. The rest weren't bad, the portions were big and the price was very reasonable. I'd probably not go with the burger next time as it was just ok compared to the rest.

Reasonably affordable Korean and American food near Wrigley Field. The Dolsot Bibimbap was the winner. It smelled good, tasted good, and looked appealing. The serving was on the smaller side but not scanty although it was a bit short on meat. The spicy KFC was spicy, the serving was large, and the chicken chunks were thighs (that's a good thing)but it tasted more like spicy sweet and sour chicken than KFC. I was expecting that the vegetable it was served with would be the traditional daikon and carrot but it was a scoop of finely shredded raw cabbage drizzled with Thousand Island dressing. The biggest problem I had was with the timing. Our orders were taken quickly and the bibimbap came soon after. My partner had finished his meal before mine arrived. Nothing much to say about the ambiance. It looks like an urban luncheonette which is exactly what it is. I would return but I'd skip the KFC.

Really enjoyed the Korean fried chicken! It was made fresh and had great flavor. Would definitely come back to order it again. Dukkboki was alright, a little chewy for my taste. Menu is huge and a bit overwhelming

This establishment offers high-quality cuisine, and I recommend their spicy soup and rice bowls. The service is consistently courteous and attentive.

My FAVORITE KIMCHI JIGGAE in Chicago. And to make things even better, they offer awesome standard American diner/breakfast foods. Seriously, this place is a must-go for lovers of authentic Korean food and people looking to try something new. Love the service and love the cleanliness. I will absolutely be back. - AD

Food: for the price, pretty good Korean soup & stews close to the city, hard to find places that aren't just kbbq. Service: nice staff, looks like a great takeout or delivery place Ambiance: wasn't too crowded when I went on a Saturday, they have a cute photo wall of patrons

One of the best Korean places in Chicago! The jjigaes are amazing whether hot or cold out. If desired there's a way to add more spice if that's your preference. The soondubu jjigae is loaded with ingredients, mainly tofu, and can easily be made into two meals. The tteokbokki is also delicious and if you take it to go they give you plenty of sauce that you can reuse foe another meal. Despite being incredibly busy and only having one server they were very efficient and the waiter made sure to listen to everyone's requests. The food also came out really fast. The restaurant is on the smaller side so can get crowded really fast but it adds to the authenticity hearing them tell orders and hear the kitchen cook your food.

We decided to come here for dinner. Unfortunately, tonight's experience ended up being not that great. I ordered the tofu bibimbap. I specifically told the waitress to put the beef mandoo on the side. I expected the mandoo to be on a separate plate. When the bowl came I saw the beef mandoo inside the bowl not on a separate plate. I started having an anxiety attack. Question: Who serves beef or any type of meat to a vegetarian? Why do that? For the next 10 minutes the waitress tried to convince me that this bowl was a new order. I told her I can't trust you. The bowl looked the same. I got the feeling that she or the chef took off the two mandoos off and gave me the same bowl. I felt disgusted. I told the waitress I did not want it anymore as I lost my appetite. Joseph ordered his meal. At least he ate a full meal whereas I left hungry. When the bill came, they charged us for the bowl I sent back. The waitresses had no choice but to take off that said meal from the bill. I felt that they wanted to punish us by charging us for the food I did not even eat. Seriously? I found that disturbing.

I ordered takeout from here and the food was delicious. It tastes very authentic to the Korean food I had while living in Korea! The tteokbokki is spicy and sweet and the rice cakes are firm. I do wish the rice cakes were soaked in the sauce a bit more so they weren't so firm. The dandak chicken is sweet and slightly savory. If you're looking for a casual, tasty, and authentic bite, this place is for you.

We came in last week and grabbed some takeout. Takeout was quick and easy and the hostess was very nice. First we got the Bibimbap, which was a fried egg, bulgogi beef, veggies and rice. It had really great flavor and delicious sauce with it, but there was not very much meat. Next we tried the R&B burger with marinated beef & pork, Swiss cheese and a pretzel bun. It was pretty good and a great price at $10, there was an option to add carmelized kimchi which we want to try next time! Finally we had the DanDak Korean style fried chicken which was our favorite!

This place smells so good. The menu is nice and diverse. Mainly Korean fare, then burgers and breakfast with a Korean twist ( Eggs with the bulgogi) I was honestly going right for the Bulgogi but then the waitress brings out an order or Korean Fried Chicken to the the table and it just looked and smelled so good, like some of my fav Korean Fried Chicken places in Honolulu. Oh then they brought some jigae out, on my list for next time. It's quaint with a open kitchen, so you can smell what cooking. So yeah, the buldak KFC was so tasty and spicy but like perfect balance. It made me sweat a bit but did not burn my mouth while retaining distinct flavors. Great Texture, crispy and saucy but the meat inside juicy and tender. Nice portions too. I have enough for lunch! Definitely coming back to try their breakfast and lunch offerings and probably dinner. ... I totally left a draft unpublished. Terrible. Continuing a month later. Still tasty. Got the sweet soy sauce kfc, dandak and the Mrs got tofu Bulgogi. Still tasty.

That's exactly how we ended up at Del Seoul! We were walking by, saw the food, smelled all that goodness, and knew we had to stop. Even one of the diners told us the food was good and that we would enjoy it. That was all the confirmation we needed! Del Seoul is a quaint little spot with a dining area that isn't very large, along with additional seating on the side. When you enter, you place your order at the counter. One thing to know if you're dining with a group: everyone in your party must be present when ordering. We had a group of four, and they prepared a table for us. Ordering was easy, and Reilly was very friendly and helpful, which made our first visit even better. We started with the Kimchi Fries for the table. I didn't really taste much of the kimchi flavor, but the fries were still good. We also grabbed a bottle of Mango Soju to share. It wasn't overly sweet, and we decided shots were the way to go. Cheers! For my meal, I ordered the Bulgogi Bento Box, which came with grilled, thinly sliced flatiron steak with sautéed onions, an egg and scallion omelette, mixed greens with ginger vinaigrette, and steamed rice. The bulgogi was the star for me. The steak was tender, flavorful, and very tasty, and everything in the bento box worked well together. Definitely a satisfying meal! What started as a simple walk-by turned into a delicious Chicago food stop. If you're a Chicago native or visiting the city like I am, give Del Seoul a try. Sometimes you just have to follow the aroma! Five stars from me!

The Sesame-Chili Shrimp Taco was my favorite. The shrimp stayed crispy and had the best flavor. The Sambal Fish Taco was a little soggy, while the Kalbi, BBQ Pork, and BBQ Chicken were all on the drier side. I honestly still prefer traditional Mexican tacos over these. The K-Town Chicken Wings (7.5/10) were my favorite item. They weren't breaded, but the sweet soy, chili, and garlic glaze was delicious. The skin had a nice firm bite, which I really liked.

The food was completely underwhelming, and when we shared our concerns with the staff, nothing was done to address them. The service was equally disappointing. Our server spent much of the time sitting on her phone while we waited for basic service like water refills, being asked about drinks, and receiving the drinks we ordered. We repeatedly had to get up and find someone just to receive attention. As for the food, the gyoza was bland and tasted like unseasoned pork. The lemongrass beef stew curry, which was highly recommended, arrived cold, had an odd texture, and lacked any real flavor. Most shocking of all were the drunken noodles. I've ordered them countless times over the years and always considered them among the best in Chicago. This time, I couldn't get past a single bite. Every dish was left unfinished. We didn't finish a single plate and didn't take any leftovers home--something that never happens for us. Between the poor service and incredibly disappointing food, this was an awful dining experience from start to finish. Unfortunately, after being a longtime customer, I won't be returning.

The food and service are always wonderful here!…read more This review is not about the restaurant. This is actually for the reservation system through the Yelp Guest Management system. I called the number provided here on the Yelp webpage for this restaurant. I had a phone conversation with what I now believe was an AI representative that told me that I had a reservation for a party of 6 for this coming Sunday. I felt like the phone call was a bit off, because AI can definitely give an uncanny valley feeling. Also, I knew from past experience with this restaurant that they didn't use to take reservations. I went to the restaurant's website to check it out and lo-and-behold the number is different! I called the restaurant's real number and asked about the reservation. The employee was very polite and kind and explained that they don't make reservations (first come, first serve). Thank you again to that kind employee, because that had to be a confusing call. Sorry about wasting your staffs' time with this by the way, Batter & Berries! I cannot imagine if I had brought my party of 6 to a very busy brunch spot expecting to get in right away because I thought I had booked a reservation, so I alerted the business on the call, and then I went to alert Yelp. Surely this is just a small mistake, and Yelp can get this broken AI reservation system taken down for this particular restaurant so this doesn't happen to anyone else. Surely this is not a big deal! Lol. Of course it was. I spent half-an-hour looking for ways that I could inform Yelp via customer chat, email, or even call. Nope! Yelp is now offering services to supposedly book tables for potential diners, but they still only have customer service for the businesses. I tried the one customer service number that Yelp does have (877-767-9357). I tried repeatedly to go through its AI menu. However, whenever I would answer that I was a customer and not a business, it would end the call. When I stated that I was a business just so that I could be directed to a human being, I was told by a very helpful representative that Yelp doesn't have human representatives that help non-advertising costumers or businesses. TL;DR Do not use the reservation feature on Yelp's website. They do not care if it is accurate, and there is no way to even inform Yelp of their mistake. And definitely no customer service or support for you as the person that used their broken system to make a fake reservation. But Batter & Berries itself? AWESOME!!! That 5 stars is for them. Negative 5,000 stars to Yelp for using a broken AI reservation system and having no support for when it inevitably creates problems for diners and the restaurants they want to enjoy. Edited to add: I just got done trying to fill out a correction on the phone number that Yelp has listed on this webpage for Batter & Berries as it is not correct. When I went to fill out the correction form Yelp auto-fills the information they have currently for the business listing. Would you all believe that they had the correct number for the business in the form already? So they know the correct number, but are putting their AI reservation number up instead. Why would they do that? I do not know, but I'd guess it's not for any selfless reasons. This will be the last time I use Yelp for anything, and I am looking into ways to report them for fraudulent advertisement at this point. I know it's probably silly, but changing the number to your broken AI system when you know the business' real number is a bit too much. The actual restaurant number at this location is (773) 248-7710 if anyone needs to get in touch with the real restaurant.

We sat in a cozy table for 2 and the art was a plenty. We had the steak Fajita omelet, the French toast flight (paying a little extra to try ALL the flavors), side of catfish, and the seafood omelet. The Steak Fajitas Omelet was so flavorful. The meat was tender. The eggs were so cheesy. The hash browns were crispy and aplenty. The Seafood omelet was the rockstar that stole the show. There were 3 well sized shrimps sitting on a bed of lump crab meat on top of a fluffy mound of egg white omelet in a savory sauce that you almost want to lick the plate clean. We did order a side of catfish! Just because! Nicely fried with a seasoned breading with a side of hot sauce. To end our meal- we chose to do the super flight of French Toast- blueberry, strawberry, caramel, lemon and the butter cookie (seasonal flavor). I managed to take a bite of each one and I can see why this place is known for its French Toast. The drip coffee was the kind that you just couldn't stop with 1 cup.
