They even went around and changed the direction of some of the vents in my house so that they blew in directions that made more sense without me even bringing it up. Great experience. John arrived on time, explained what he would be doing and what he would be looking for in both the air conditioners, filters and thermostats. He told me what preventative measures I could take throughout the year to help maintain the system once he got the initial service completed. It seams the previous owners had never had it serviced. Once John completed the appointment he said we should be able to get many more years from the units. He also discussed with me the importance of service on the gas furnace and where it was located. Ample Air Systems sent their technician John out to come look at our furnace. AAS was the 3rd company to come out in the past 2 months. They gave us a window of when they would come by, and we actually there at the beginning of their time window, which was great. The previous two companies did some minor troubleshooting, but after they left we could tell by listening that our furnace still wasn't 100% the way it was prior to going out. When John was working on the unit he replaced a bad part, then I could hear him vacuuming, and doing some additional maintenance. They worked in conjunction with American Home Shield, a warranty company. I over the past 3 yrs have had problems with my HVAC. Ample air helped them defraud me out of service! Telling them that I put the air filter in wrong and that's why my 25yr old system wasn't working!! Total BS!! AHS now refuses to service the unit! I've used Ample Air twice. The first time was during a home warranty repair of a thermostat. The second time was just today when they came out to replace the inducer motor on our forced air furnace. This time was not a home warranty visit, so the expense came out of my own pocket. The great thing though is that Ample charged me only about half the cost of what another highly recommended contractor wanted. John G. was a very nice knowledgeable and professional technician that was able to troubleshoot and repair our AC system. My AC was not functioning. John came out and serviced my unit doing all the troubleshooting he could do. He found that the thermostat was broken. He replaced that and gave me tons advice about HVAC since I am a first time home owner. He even adjusted my AC vents so that they actually pushed air in the proper directions. She allowed me to reschedule my appointment and she also called me when they had cancellations. My technician Robert was really knowledgeable. He knew what was wrong with my unit within 5 mintes. He said he had to order a part and someone will call me on Monday to schedule but they should be back out within a week. This company is the Awful! Not only do they rip you off, but their hours are Monday through Friday in the middle of the day. Very unreasonable and they do not work in the weekends or evening, meaning you have to take a day off to be there. They "fixed" our ac, to the point of having to come out 3 times this year. I have American Home Shield as my home warrantee company. I had an issue with my air conditioner a few months ago and it took weeks to get it repaired. The contractor would not answer my calls or calls from the home warrantee company. So, last week, when the ac went out again, I called the home warrantee company and received an email that the same company was coming out this time. Fortunately, a short time later, I received a second email that it would be Ample Air Systems assigned to my repairs. I cannot even express how happy I am with Ample Air's customer service. Tina continually kept me informed of the status of the repair. When the part had to be ordered and there was a delay in shipping she notified me. She let me know that we would be first up when it arrived. She called me as soon as she received it yesterday and the repairman was here bright and early today to install the new compressor. Our A/C went out during the hottest week of the year. Of course! We called our home warranty provider and they put us in touch with Ample Air. They were out the next day. And they accommodated us with our request for an appointment earlier in the day as we were leaving for a camping trip. Robert was our technician. Awesome! He was so nice and worked quickly. Let me start off by saying that today is Saturday, April 25, 2020, so the 1-star review I just read claiming Ample Air won't work weekends is apparently BS... I am totally impressed by the work done by this company. Having been contacted by Tina to set up a time to look at our AC problem, she apologized as they were booked and wouldn't be able to make it until Monday, however she called back later and said that an opening had come up for Saturday and they would be here between 8 and 9. They arrived at 8:02. They were able to find and repair the problem rather quickly, but also took the time to explain how my system was set up (we have two AC and heating units with 3 control units, so I was having trouble figuring out what controlled what). I now know that the unit in the attic is a 'zoned' unit that controls the upstairs as well as the dining room, kitchen and family room downstairs. The unit in the space over the master closet downstairs controls the 3 bedrooms downstairs as well as the formal living room. They also explained to us that having as many vents closed as we did caused the unit to operate inefficiently, and can eventually lead to problems. The also explained the best way to set up the vents directionally to provide the most efficient cooling. They also took care to practice the 'social distancing' procedures, which was much appreciated as both my 90 year old father-in-law, who lives with us, and my wife are immuno-compromised. read more
