Came here for an early dinner no wait to get seated. Beautiful restaurant and decor. Service was great my only complaint is I was charged twice for garlic naan even though it was included. We did the Create your own course this include an appetizer, two sides an entree and dessert for $40.99 and we did as well as the $16.99 to add an additional entree with two sides. Here is what we recommend: App: Vegetable Samosas with Tamarind sauce Sides: Chickpea Salad- Skip this! Crispy Cabbage and Basmati Rice- Yes! Dal Soup- Must try! Entree: Chicken Tikki Masala- My personal favorite Lamb Briyani- good Dessert: Rice Pudding- good but would love to try the mango cheesecake next time If you have little ones that are picky eaters they have a menu for them that is kid friendly like chicken with fries.

If this is what Indian cuisine is all about, then consider me hooked! Really enjoyed the food, the service, and the atmosphere at Amrit Palace. Met a friend for lunch there today. I've been wanting to try an Indian restaurant for a few years now but was leery. Gotta say this place is nice. From the moment I stepped inside the restaurant, I was impressed. Very nice decor and the vibe inside was upscale. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. Our server was great! He was quick to explain some of the dishes and answered all our questions before ordering. He talked me into the mixed platter with basmati rice and the dal soup. The Dal soup is tasty and velvety. Be warned, the Mixed Platter is a lot of food. It came out on a sizzling platter like fajitas. The chicken was charred with a good flavor. You want to ramp it up? Add either the green sauce or the red that's in the background of the photo. The lamb chops are really tasty and so are the kebabs. I barely ate half my food. But it made for a great dinner tonight! And, finally, the naan. Get the naan! I repeat, Get The Naan! I had had the garlic naan with cheese. So freaking good! I wish I had room to try one of their desserts but I was too full! Also, they have a good lunch special. Unfortunately, it wasn't available on Friday. All in all, great experience and I cannot wait to return. There is plenty on the menu that I want to try.

I have had some delicious meals here and it's definitely worth the trip. Ambiance is one of the best in city and service is usually very consistent. We have at times experienced being rushed or pressured especially if we are dining after 8pm but I will say in the land of numerous high quality Indian restaurants in the area this ranks as in our top 3.

I had a great dinner at Amrit Palace! The service was amazing! Everyone checked on us often, provided great suggestions, and were very kind and attentive! Our food was amazing, but you do need to eat quickly so your food doesn't get cold! The restaurant is also beautiful!

From the outside, Amrit Palace looks pretty unassuming, but once you walk in, the ambiance is really nice. It's a newer, more upscale Indian restaurant in the old Hooters location, and the inside is beautifully decorated with plants, statues, and moody lighting. Definitely a big step up visually. I've heard good things about their Ocala location, so I was excited to try this one. There's a mix of bar seating, booths, and tables. The only downside is that the smaller tables in the middle are really close together, so it kind of felt like we were sharing space with the table next to us. Could hear their entire conversation. Service was solid though, they were quick to refill drinks and check in on us. The menu has a great variety. We ordered garlic naan to share and I tried the rogan josh (mild) since I usually go for lamb or goat curry and wanted something different. The naan came with two dips and was crispy, but I wish it was softer. The rogan josh had really tender meat and a good portion size, but it needed a bit more salt and I would've preferred it hotter. It also cooled down pretty quickly. I tried the butter chicken too and had similar thoughts. It needed more salt and could've been served warmer. I had pretty high expectations, so I was a little disappointed with this first visit. The ambiance and service were great, but the food just needs a bit more refinement to match the vibe.

I'm so incredibly full, but wow okay Gainesville I'm impressed. Anyways this place opened up 3 months ago and it may be the prettiest restaurant I've ever walked inside in gainesville. My grandpa and I did order kingfishers, but they gave us Taj, and somehow that may be the only complaint, but also like whatever since Taj is also good. Anyways chili paneer and the chili garlic onion cheese naan were the two spiciest things. The latter being so spicy it uh honestly ruined my taste buds (thank god I tried it from my dad at the very end). The daal soup sides were so good and I loved that I could taste the ginger in it, which I find pretty rare for daal. The mixed tandoori platter was solid, but now that I've tried all 4 of their options I'd just stick to the lamb and chicken kebabs. Very tender for those 2 and I didn't have to douse the meat in lemon, which I feel like I usually have to do because it's so dry. The chicken tikka was solid, nothing crazy though. I also was a fan of the turmeric cabbage, I've never really seen that. Also I liked the samosa chaat, but that was also pretty standard.

I really wanted to like this place but let me start off by saying the place is beautiful and well lit like dim (gives mysterious vibes) for the restaurant vibe. I came here on 5/9/2026 to meet some old colleagues and they enjoy Indian food. I have not divulged into Indian that far just really basic and I'm pescatarian now so I previewed the menu and decided I would get the appetizer vegetable Samoas-they were just okay to me. I actually like Trader Joe's mini frozen ones better. As for service, this turned me OFF especially when trying to enjoy an evening with my old colleagues. The person waiting on us was a big tall heavier set white guy. He started off nice but I can tell as we were sitting longer and talking more and getting deep into our conversations, he would insert himself 3-4 different times. Once, asking if we needed to go containers, no one asked yet, then paying the bill; again no one asked for the bill and then letting us know it's another party in about 15 mins. I mean VERY RUDE! Basically telling us without telling us that we have to leave. When we paid our money and the place wasn't even full, we were not even taking up a booth- we had a random table in the middle of the restaurant. Also, the girl who came to collect our dishes advised us to stay as long as we compelled to. She was very nice. Overall, maybe it was one bad seed but I honestly probably won't return back unless a friend/family wanted to go. Many people talked about this place when it was just in Ocala and I wanted to like it and enjoy it just like others but yeah, it just didn't do it for me.

Absolutely delicious! We have always loved Amrit Palace in Ocala. The ambiance was lovely, they have screened outdoor seating with fans. Service was quick and impeccable. The prices are great for the portions (meal and 2 sides). All of this was just over $60.

This was our first time eating Indian food. I gotta say it was pretty darn good. Very fresh and flavorful, and the spice level is perfect for us. The drinks were delicious and the service and experience was amazing! You get 2 sides with eat meal, choice of rice Dal Soup, cabbage or chickpea salad. We just did rice and Dal soup, both were perfect with our food. The atmosphere was very nice and fancy feeling, we will definitely be recommending this place to friends. Great first time experience.

Goat curry

We enjoyed lunch today at the new location of Amrit Palace. Their original location is in Ocala. The restaurant was tastefully decorated. You could tell there were many thoughtful decisions made, from the fabric used for the seating to the lighting and decor. Anand was the good name of the very helpful staff who served us. He was kind and patient as we asked questions about the menu. He also gave wonderful suggestions, resulting in a yummy meal. Thank you Anand! We ordered Lamb Bhuna, Lamb Curry and Goat Curry. All dishes were flavorful and we'd definitely order them again. The mango dressing for their salad was so mango-y! I wish we could take a bottle home! The lychee spritzer was refreshing. Next time, we want to try the tandoori sampler, their vegetable dishes and tamarind lemonade.

10/10 experience! We love Indian food and were very happy to hear that this new location opened up in gainesville. Super cute on the inside, awesome service (shout out to Phillip), & super filling. Delicious food and drinks. All in all, we were very happy with our experience and will be back.

The ambience was super nice and sophisticated I think they did an amazing job decorating this place, the service was also super fast, friendly and attentive. The food was pretty good too. However if you're not used to spice, stick with the mild.

Gobhi Manchurian (fried cauliflower appetizer) Butter chicken, lamb biryani, chickpea salad, crispy cabbage, and naan bread.

Couldn't wait to try this new location. The interior of the restaurant is decorated beautifully and a great place to have a date night. Lots of seating, including at the bar and cute seating area with hanging chairs. Our waiter and the staff were very attentive, helpful, and friendly. Food came out fast and tasted delicious. Our waiter made sure to ask our preference on the spice level of all dishes which we really appreciated. The dessert was not our favorite but could just be a personal preference. Not pictured was our drinks which was a mango lassi (yogurt drink) and a spiked mango lassi which was different but so delicious. I would highly recommend giving this place a try!

Only one other couple was dining in, and there were a lot of take out orders being picked up. The place was well-lit, clean, and had ample space. We were greeted and seated almost immediately. Scout was our waitress and Deepak was the host. Menu has all the Indian cuisine staples that we expected - we ordered 3 orders of garlic naan, fried rice with veggies and egg, chicken tikka masala, aloo gobi (potato & cauliflower side dish ) - all with medium spiciness - with mango lassi and masala Chai tea for drinks. While waiting for our orders, we washed our hands and the single-occupancy restrooms were clean and stocked. The only downside to the facilities in general are the slightly hard chairs / benches as these were possibly made with the intention of not spending too much time in the restaurant or for people with more natural padding in that area . The naan arrived about 10 minutes later, followed by the rest of the food. The naan was excellent - just the way we like it (not too soft, not too crunchy, with enough garlic oil for taste). The basmati rice was cooked just right in the individual bowls and also in the generous portion of the fried rice. It was my first time trying the aloo gobi, and I loved it! I never knew about this dish, and my husband said it was a must try. I also tasted his chicken tikka masala, and it was also made deliciously. The drinks were also great - mango lassi was fresh and not too sweet. Masala Chai tea was exactly how I imagined it would be. Overall, we spent around 1 hour and about $100 on our date here, including generous tip. We are glad to be repeat customers to try more dishes, and of course, enjoy more garlic naan .

Following a visit to the labyrinthian VA facility in Gainesville, my wife and I were considering…read morelunch options. In looking at Yelp, we were drawn to the Indian Street Food place. Located along a building with another Indian restaurant and market and even a Vietnamese restaurant, this place has plenty of parking and quite spacious inside. We love Indian food and are always open to trying out new restaurants. We have not been to India (on the list of countries we plan on visiting) so not familiar with the street food on their menu so we opted for the more familiar options. My wife ordered the Butter Chicken combo ($20.99) and I tried one of the chef's specials, Bhatti Ka Murg combo. The combo came with basmati rice, butter naan and a desert called Gulab Jamun. My wife's combo also came with a samosa. The butter chicken was good...that sauce, which turned out to be the same sauce for the bhatti ka murg, was full of flavor. The naan was OK...nothing special and we've had much better naan. The rice serving was a bit chintzy. The desert was OK. My dish had decent flavor but definitely better dipped in that sauce. Having to content with bones from chicken thigh meat and drum stick meant I had to work for it but not too bad. While our meals had good flavors, we thought flavors and portions we had at Amrit Palace in Ocala were just as good if not better with more generous portions. We would often have leftover food to take home after a meal at Amrit. Lunch for 2 with tip was just under $54.

We stopped by recently and were blown away by how flavorful everything was--from the first bite to the last. What We Ordered: *Andhra Masala Dosa This dosa was perfection--thin, crisp edges with a hearty, spicy potato filling that hit all the right notes. The accompanying sambar and chutneys were fresh and full of depth. Truly reminded me of the kind you'd get back home or from a proper street stall in India. *Vada Golden, crisp on the outside and soft on the inside--these savory lentil fritters were served piping hot and paired beautifully with the coconut chutney. Comfort food at its finest. *Cut Mirchi A spicy, crunchy treat that packed a punch. These fried green chilies are not for the faint-hearted, but if you love heat and texture, you'll absolutely enjoy this one. Service & Vibe: The service was friendly and efficient. Food came out quickly, and the staff were helpful in explaining the dishes. The space is simple and unpretentious--exactly what you'd expect from a spot focused on delivering street-style flavor. I ordered the chana masala, which comes with basmati rice, and an order of samosas. The samosas were perfectly cooked and seasoned. They had a hint of spice but tolerable. The two sauces - tamarind and chutney were so good with the samosas. I wish I ordered more. The chana masala was very tasty, I went with medium heat since it was first time eating here. The spice was really good, I could've went hotter though. The masala was buttery and delightful. I could've drank the sauce it was that good. The chickpeas were cooked perfectly as well. The flavor profile of the dish was tangy but creamy. I wish I had some chicken tikka to throw in there. Overall a great take out meal and great portion sizes where you can stretch out these meals.
