We ordered the non-veg dinner for 2 for $55 and it was a steal! We had soup, samosas, with chicken dishes, cauliflower dish, rice, naan, and a dessert. It was more than enough food for me, my husband, and my son. We even had leftovers. Everything we had was delicious and made fresh! The owner (I believe) came and checked on us and told us to check out the lunch buffet whenever we stop by again, which we definitely will! This restaurant is halal is well for those that are interested. This place was a hit and we can't wait to come back!

Spice of Bombay buffet will surprise you with its delicious flavors and variety of dishes. This is…read morea sister restaurant of Taj Mahal restaurant in Waldo, which also serves tasty high quality food. This is a North Indian style buffet showcasing flavors primarily from the state of Punjab, India or overall Northern India. I went in on a snowy day when all the other Indian buffets were closed, but only Spice of Bombay was serving finger-licking food. As soon as I entered, I was warmly greeted by the server and taken to my table. She instantly asked what type of naan I would like plain or garlic and I had to choose garlic Naan with lots of butter! After that, I did not waste any time and went straight to the buffet, which had a wide variety of food on display. Starting from the left were the non-veg curries: butter chicken, chicken curry, mutton curry, tangy tandoori chicken which I wasn't a big fan of, etc., followed by the veg sabjee and curry section. I was blown away by the variety of vegetarian food they had to offer, and I think that was the best part of the buffet - saag, mushroom mutter, dal makhani, zucchini sabjee, paneer butter masala, baingan bharta, navratan korma etc.. just YUMmmmm... Then came the appetizer section, which had veggie pakora which was a little dense, along with fries and bhatura - rarely available at Indian buffet and goes well with the Channa Sabjee was clearly missing in the buffet. Lastly, there were salads, condiments, and sweets - gulab jamuns, mango pudding, and rice kheer. The clear winners for me from each section were the butter chicken - creamy and very tasty. Chicken was cooked perfectly, even though it was made with white meat. The saag and the korma - rich , a little tangy loaded with veggies and creamy from the vegetarian section, and the mango pudding from the sweets section - heavenly and transported me to the Indian mango fields. The buffet is priced at around $21, which is not too high for the food selection, but I really hope they include some hot or cold drinks along with the buffet, just like other Indian restaurants. Chai or some buttermilk would be a nice addition to settle down the stomach after having heavy food. When I asked the owner to check if chai was included, he sweetly gave me a cup of chai on the house. There are lovely flower arrangements throughout the restaurant which had a fresh energy and the restaurant is clean otherwise. To conclude.. food - 4/5, service - 5/5, and ambiance - 5/5. If you love hot Indian food even on a snowy day or on a weather aware day lol, this is your place to be.

I am so glad I started this new year right at Shagan's. Ambiance: They have few tables inside this restaurant and I also see this could be a popular pickup option for people. Menu: Staffs are incredibly kind here & you can take all your time in ordering your food because the menu offers a lot of good combo options. They have chaat, appetizers, entree & combo options (both vegetarian and non-vegetarian) My personal favorite is 2 entree combo which comes with jeera rice & bread. Bread can be a plain roti or paratha or naan or garlic/butter naan. You can also request Stuffed parathas for an up charge. What we ordered: - Vada Pav - 2 entree combo plate (Moong dal & Butter paneer) - Mango Lassi Both Moong dal & Butter paneer was served hot - perfect for a cozy/cold night. Spice & masala level was just perfect and I personally don't prefer too much overdose of color or masala in my butter paneer which messes up my gut. Vada pav was great too with a good amount of green sauce/paste (spicy & tangy) Just the perfect way to end the dinner with freshly made mango lassi. :)) Hopefully, will get back again to check out non-vegetarian entree options.
