Excellent bistro style food, especially enjoyed the calamari, crab beignets, and Caesar salad. Wonderful and friendly service, with a relaxed atmosphere. They also have some real bartenders that know how to make craft and classic cocktails. The interior design is fun, inviting, and warm in a historic downtown building. Can't wait to go back!

This is our 2nd time visiting this location after Keenland horse races. It just so happened that…read morethe Milwaukee Brewers were in the playoff and we were with 2 big Brewer fans. So I called the restaurant and asked if they had the game on; the staff member that answered quickly found the manager and said yes we can put it on for you. Bingo! We stopped in and it was a beautiful day so we asked if we could sit outside sitting - definitely and they put the game on out there as well. Lucas was out waiter and he and the manager ( I believe Mike was his name ) would banter back and forth jokingly; which made for more fun. They also place us by an outdoor propane heater just in case. Three of us had Burgers and 1 had a salad. 2 burgers were 1/4 lb and looked like it after cooking; they were tasty. I have the dbl a 1/2 lb also delicious. The brew selections were decent. The game wasn't going our way but we watched to the end enjoying brews and food. The sun went down quickly and they bought another propane tall heater. The first one didn't ignite ( out of gas ) 2nd one out of gas ( apparently someone did shut off the valve but the owner appeared and got a new tank of propane and got it lit. I can't say I've been to a place with so much customer service in a long time. Service was great, food is very good a good sides. Drinks were decent selection and atmosphere was perfect. I know I will be back but I hope sooner than later. This place is in an old strip mall; looks like an abandoned Kroger and possibly a vacant Hope Depot ( that's under discussion still ) I think they have been open about 7 years now and both our visits were awesome in all ways. If you're in Versailles or at Keenland save your appetite and money to eat here instead. You money will go further and your taste buds will appreciate the better food choices and taste! Thank you Versailles staff and owner! I've passed the word to many already that if in the area; stop!

Service was quick at the indoor bar. The distillery itself is beautiful, the grounds and decor. Bethany did an amazing job with our tour.

This is a beautiful distillery but my least favorite tour of the three tours we've taken on this…read moretrip (Rabbit Hole and Stitzel-Weller were the others). There are two buildings and you check in at the one building, near a parking lot, but then get on a tour bus and they take you to the other building, which has the gift shop. It seemed a bit counterintuitive to start at the other building, then. Before this, I was super hungry, so we went to their bar area in the gift shop and ordered the charcuterie, which ended up just being like a metal box with some meats, cheeses, and other things, and a bag with a few pretzels in it. Disappointing especially for $33, although it kinda worked out because we only had a half-hour before the tour. I didn't know that Woodford Reserve has actually only been around since 1996 but the campus they purchased has buildings from 1890 and later - I would've loved to have heard more about that history even though it wasn't technically Woodford's. At the end of the tour, they return you to the gift shop and that's where you do the tasting - there is a private tasting room. I should probably note that we did the basic tour - it was $35 and my husband said you could get a similar tasting to the one we got, in the gift shop area, for $30, which made the tour only $5, which isn't bad. I did end up buying a pin, a magnet, and a sampler box of their bourbon treats (chocolates etc. - expensive, at $46 or so, but looks good) and my husband bought a few of their bottles. However, next time we are in Louisville we can probably skip this one, I'm thinking.

Came here hungry. Left full, mildly confused, and extremely satisfied…read more We kicked things off with chips and salsa. The chips? A+--crunchy, fresh, and clearly made by someone who respects the tortilla. The salsa? Let's just say it had strong marinara energy. I half-expected someone to offer me breadsticks. The queso was fine. Not mad at it, not writing poetry about it either. Then came the entrees: chile verde and a chicken chimichanga. Both were fantastic--crispy, golden, and toasted like they'd just come back from vacation in Cabo. Massive portions. Like, "should've brought Tupperware" big. The kind of meal that stares back at you and dares you to finish it. Washed it all down with a cold Dos Equis. No complaints there--beer was as it should be: cold, reliable, and didn't try to taste like mango or birthday cake or anything weird. Our waiter Jason deserves a shoutout--attentive, friendly, and we had a nice conversation about their EXCELLENT in house hot sauce. The decor? A wild ride. Red, white, and blue everywhere--I assume in honor of July 4th, but it kind of felt like Uncle Sam opened a cantina. A little confusing for the senses, but hey, festive is festive. All in all, great food, great service, and a patriotic fever dream of a dining room. Would definitely come back--maybe with a mariachi band and a bald eagle next time.
