This is the oldest bar in Frankfort and has an impressive collection of bourbon brands, and even the rarest of the rare- Pappy Van Winkle collection. They also have bar food and the best chicken wings in town. I like the Bourbon Glaze and Garlic Parmesan wings. The bar has been completely remodeled with nice clean bathrooms and new staff. The new workers seem to love their job and enjoy sharing local bourbon lore with the out of towners. After closing out at Pourter's, we walked into The Dive around 5:40 PM... only to be told by the bartender that they were "technically closed" and that the people inside were on their last call. This was surprising and confusing, as Google said they close at 8 PM and Yelp listed 9 PM...nothing mentioned early closure on Sundays. On top of that, the place smelled strongly of marijuana, which made it even less inviting. We won't be going back... If you're in the area, stick with Pourter's...great food, great service, and no weird surprises.

It feels like the kind of "hopping" bar you imagined as a kid, with colored lights, loud energy, and retro knickknacks that look straight out of your grandparents' basement bar in 1986 in Milwaukee. It somehow hits the perfect balance between gritty and fun. And the food? Incredible. Everything tastes fresh and made with real ingredients.
