Double the meat salad and a side of sauerkraut.

Just popped in for a quick bite, the Double The Meat salad was amazing and they have an incredible selection with specialty craft beer on tap and a variety of bottled and canned, a great wine selection too. Mohammad was awesome and super friendly. The music was great and they have a nice patio seating area in front. I'll definitely be coming back! Beer fans you'll love this place!

Had a great time here last night. They have 16 beers on tap which are well curated as to not be overweight in one particular style. It's small but has a great vibe with a good crowd of welcoming regulars. The bartender, Amelia, was a total rock star and the charcuterie board is not to be missed. A destination worthy watering hole that I'll be more than happy to return to soon.

The Tenderloin has turned into a hip, fun part of town. I was visiting the BM Foundation today and decided to stop by this bar. They have a nice food menu with sandwiches and flatizzas. I looked on the mirror board and saw "jello shots." I decided I had to have these. They were $1 each. I had the blue and orange jello shot. They were light on alcohol taste. It was fun and not all bars have decided to serve jello shots...but this is not Coyote Ugly folks. The bar had some people inside and the bartender was friendly and playing fun punky music. The bathroom is decent. Fun little spot. Amsterdam Cafe is modeled on bars in Amsterdam!

Apparently, just because sex work is legal in Amsterdam it isn't legal in Amsterdam Cafe. I requested the menu for sex several times. The first few times they laughed. Then they told me to stop joking. The only joke here is the lack of a sex menu. The beer, service, and ambiance were great, otherwise, but I suggest they consider what I have to say to give the full Amsterdam experience.

    Empty bar

This place would be fine with a bartender with better customer service. The owner seemed nice enough but should've intervened instead of looking apologetically

Amazing place. Great food, pizza, salad, sausage is out of this world/neighborhood. Feels more like a place for community to foster than a bar stricto sensu. Hat tip to Maya for taking the spirit of the place forward.

They have a lot of beer selections on tap. It's more or less about 5 bucks for an order of beer. It's a chill layout for beer lounging. I like the limited, front, outside, seating area. They have TV inside and a small lounge area, all the way inside. A cool place to drop by - to just chill and drink up.

What a find in the tenderloin! Amsterdam Cafe is a gem of a bar - low-key, chill, comfortable, and more importantly has a good selection of delicious beer. Amsterdam Cafe has happy hours from 4-7pm with $1 off their draught beefs. They also have daily bottled beer specials for $3. I had a Red Seal Ale [http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/25KGeqGCQ2NGUT6217hF8Q?select=wrEZ81N5inH5x4Raq6EsTw] on my pit-stop here and it was a steal for $3. I was pressed for time but I'll definitely be back to sample more beers. They have a nice, breezy smoking section up front and a cozy seating area at the back [http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/25KGeqGCQ2NGUT6217hF8Q?select=VQnO5GkA-Sykbn3qVTRktQ] so they can accommodate a fairly large group. Next time, I'll gather a drinking group over here ... or I could just sit out front on a lazy sunny Sunday afternoon with a nice cold brew. Either way, I'm so coming back to Amsterdam Cafe.

Let's keep this review extremely simple. + friendly bartenders with patience serving a + fairly large selection of really good beers... + at reasonable prices + cozy seating, cozy decor The bartender spent a good amount of time discussing beer with me, while I was trying to make a decision. Helped me decide on some Saisons, my favourite kind of beer. They also helped my friends decide what to get too. The beers they have on tap are pretty awesome too. They have a lot of variety of specialty beers. All at very reasonable prices. What's there not to love about this place? Recommended and will return!

Unfortunately, there ended up being an issue with part of our order, but before we even had the chance to say anything, the team had already taken care of it for us. That honestly stood out to me more than anything. There was no awkward back and forth, no need for us to complain or ask for anything. They noticed something wasn't up to their standard and immediately made it right on their own. That level of customer service, especially on our first visit, was such a great surprise. And the pizza itself was SO good. We ended up having the pepperoni and what I believe was a vodka cheese slice, and absolutely loved both. Great pizza, even better people, and the kind of customer service that makes you want to come back. I unfortunately didn't catch everyone's names, but huge shoutout to the team working today. You guys made an amazing first impression. We'll definitely be back!

No flop Was craving…read moresome pizza and stopped by for a few slices. Order at the counter, and they heat up the slices for you. Mostly went for the thin crust. They make things crisp here. The pizza has charred edges like Neapolitan which adds a nice smokey flavor. The crust has zero flop and a nice golden crust on top. Sauce has a tough of sweetness. I also enjoyed their use of fresh basil and the grated Parmigiano-Reggiano they throw on at the end. It's kinda like a new york slice, but a little gourmet? Very tasty for sure. Critiques: First off, each slice is $6-7, which is a bit steep. Maybe times have changed, but this is def not a budget meal, especially if you are eating multiple slices. Second, some of their already crispy slices have been sitting on display for some time and completely cooled down. When these slices are then reheated, there is a bit of an overcooked taste? Lastly, they only have a few topping options and the quantity of toppings on each slice (especially protein) is pretty sparse. I also ordered a slice of the Sicilian as well to mix things up. It was good, but the crust was just a touch too greasy for me.

I ordered the - Buffalo Wings - How Mushroom The buffalo wings were delicious and although on the pricier side, was just good enough for me to overlook it. It comes with green onions as a garnish with a Bleu cheese dip and carrot sticks. The only negative thing about this was that there wasn't enough carrot sticks. The How mushroom was recommended to me by a staff member and I thought was just a little plain; it was on the more bread side which I'm pretty sure is the standard for Detroit style pizza. In all honesty, I wish there was a bit more toppings to accommodate the amount of bread to topping ratio as this felt more of a cheesy bread sticks from Pizza My Heart. My favorite thing about this place is there were chilled glasses with taps for still water and sparkling water, which was free. In honesty, the sparkling water is an essential need to kill the grease in our meal. Overall, the staff were pretty friendly and helpful during the ordering process, the pizza itself wasn't for me.
