Most visits, my husband and I grab seats at the bar , but this time we brought my brother and sister-in-law along for dinner, and it was fantastic from start to finish! The service, as always, was warm, friendly, and welcoming. Our food came out at just the right pace--never rushed and never a long wait. We were seated almost immediately, but to be fair... we also showed up very early. Here's what we ordered: Two of us had the surf & turf special. My brother-in-law ordered the prime rib sandwich. And my husband tackled the 32-ounce prime rib! He said it was, hands down, the best prime rib he's ever had anywhere! Everything was cooked perfectly, portions were generous, and the prices were incredibly reasonable. Whether you're looking for a quick bite , a casual date night , a family dinner ‍‍‍, or a place to celebrate a special occasion , the Raindancer is a wonderful choice. Always tender, flavorful, and they give you a very good sized portion. I've brought several friends here over the years and everyone has always enjoyed their meals. The restaurant has a nice rustic feel to it that fits the atmosphere perfectly. The food is consistently great and the staff has always been friendly and attentive whenever I've visited. Small negative is there are no free refills on soft drinks. I believe it's always been the case here atleast as far back as I can recall. For me it should be a big deal because I live sodas it's an integral part of my dinner. But yet i like it here a lot so I forgive it. That says something. Keeping my soda filled is one was I rate servers. If they do it without me asking they are ontop of their game to me. But Ike I said that's not applicable here. Just keep it in mind. But for me, the crown jewel here is the chocolate mousse pie. It is fantastic. Light, fluffy, rich without being too heavy, topped with whipped cream and little chocolate morsels. It's absolute heaven. They also have a peanut butter mousse pie that I keep telling myself I'm going to try someday, but every time I come here I can't bring myself to pass on the chocolate mousse pie. Maybe one day... although probably not. It's just too good. They have a take out window. Sometimes if I'm in the area I quickly pick some up for desert. It's so worth it.

For my entree, I ordered the Penne a la Vodka with shrimp, which came with a house salad. It was fantastic! It had a good amount of shrimp in it too. The lady running things highly recommended the Chicken Philly (the kid with her seemed too nervous to recommend anything), and we also got a bacon egg and cheese (SPK). Both folks behind the counter were so friendly, and during the 15 minutes or so we waited for our sandwiches, we were the only people they didn't greet by name. They obviously have a number of regulars, and it's no wonder, because the sandwiches were great. I actually thought the BEC was outstanding, and better than the Chicken Philly. In addition to good sandwiches, they've got local pies for sale, all the chips and drinks you'd ever want, and tables inside and out if you decide not to take your food home with you. It's obviously a local gem, and I'm glad we came by.
