Yesterday, I came in to deposit several large checks, and the teller, JENNIFER, completely botched the transaction. She was rushed and disorganized from the moment I stepped up to her window. First, she asked me to fill out a deposit slip, but before I could finish tallying up my checks, she took it back and insisted she could do it herself. That was a $15,000 mistake. When I checked my account later, I realized I was missing ALMOST $15,000 from my deposit. This is not a small mistake--it's gross negligence, and it has serious financial consequences. I live 50 minutes away and work an hour away, so going to this branch isn't convenient for me. But because of JENNIFER'S incompetence, I had no choice but to rush out of work today to drive all the way back and fix it. Chase customer service was completely useless over the phone. I called the branch six times, only to be stuck in an endless loop of automated messages before the system hung up on me every time, saying the line was busy. No one called me back. No one even acknowledged the issue. When I finally arrived at the branch, I asked to speak with a branch manager, but guess what? No one was available. The only person who could assist me was a male Asian teller, and even then, the resolution was a joke, although he did try his best and was professional. They said they would issue a temporary credit, but they couldn't even provide me with a proper updated account balance receipt. Instead, they printed out a screenshot of their claim request--as if that's supposed to reassure me that my money isn't just floating around in limbo. This entire situation is outrageous. Mistakes happen, but this was beyond a mistake--this was incompetence at the highest level. I am seriously considering legal action against JENNIFER personally because this level of negligence is unacceptable. If I hadn't caught it, I could have been out $15,000, and Chase's response has been nothing but excuses and dismissiveness. If you care about your finances, avoid this branch at all costs.

I followed up multiple times, but Chase denied my claim and did not return the missing funds. I also requested the ATM camera footage from the time of the transaction, but Chase refused to provide it. I believe the bank has not properly investigated this matter. I am requesting assistance from the CFPB to ensure a fair review of my case and to have my missing $5,300 returned.
