I am extremely disappointed with my experience. Not only was there no communication that I would be charged extra for a gel pedicure, but the quality of the service was unacceptable. During the callus removal, my feet were over-filed to the point that the skin on the ball of my foot and the inside near my big toe was left raw, peeling, and painful. Walking has been uncomfortable since my appointment, and this is the exact opposite of how a pedicure should leave your feet. I understand callus removal is part of the service, but there is a difference between smoothing skin and removing so much that healthy skin is left exposed. On top of that, I was never informed about the additional gel charge before the service was performed. Clear communication about pricing and better care during the pedicure would have made a huge difference. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this salon based on my experience. I would appreciate the opportunity for management to address both the unexpected charge and the condition my feet were left in. read more

I picked out a gel color for nails, pink, pointed it out to them. Nail color she says, you like? I said its suppose to be pink? The nails were a cranberry color. They do not communicate well , and speak great english or understand you. After pointing out saying i wanted pinl , she says yes pink and continues to paint. I called same day yesterday, and asked for an appointment at 4pm for a pedicure. The person that answered the phone said they could do 4pm. I arrived right around 4, picked my color, and was seated within a few minutes. While the technician wasn't overly chatty (nail shape, take foot out, put foot in, etc.) - I was absolutely fine with it. She also did an extra filing on my feet to remove the dead skin, which I really appreciated. Other reviewers have noted concerns about cleanliness, which I did not experience. The foot bath was lined, my feet were washed with clean water, my toes themselves sprayed with an alcohol mixture, and the technician wore gloves (and switched said gloves out). While I was there (35-40 min) - one person came in without an appointment, for a manicure, and was taken care of right away. Another customer came in and needed one of her toenails fixed from a pedicure, which they also quickly accommodated, and addressed. It was $50 for a gel pedicure - which didn't seem bad. I never leave reviews- the artists are not gentle or professional at all. Rushing to get through the pedicure to the point where they rubbed so hard and lost control of the tool... missed and scraped my ankle bone. The other I experience I had my cuticles were destroyed (and red and in pain) Plus the woman doing my nails was on the phone. read more

I made an appointment and my manicure started with Alex. She filled the bowl with very hot water and didn't check with me for comfort. I asked her to add cold water as it was too hot and a small amount was added, again no regard for comfort. Her attitude only got worse. I asked if she was the owner as she seemed to be in charge but said that the owner was away on vacation. The other tec's seemed nice so I will try someone else next time read more

If you want just a pedicure this place is fine. I got a Dip manicure last week and they accidentally sprayed acetone onto my face. Did not apologize. Barely acknowledged it. The manicure has already chipped. The nails were also shaped super wonky. read more

Place is not clean. I expect my legs and feet to be rinsed in clean water when pedicure is over. What I got instead was rinsing with the dirty water. Christmas bows with a layer of dust. Just not up to my standards. read more

I had visited this establishment several times since moving to Plymouth and trying out different salons. An average manicure - a bit rushed - but I was satisfied. This time not so. I asked for my nails to be cut short. Instead I got VERY short. So short the top of the nail bed shows. The top of my fingers still hurt. They also hurt from the harsh filing and buffing by the technician. The owner said the technician told her I had said to cut my nails very short. I said I did not. The owner then said the technician didn't understand English very well. Not so. I heard several conversations between the technician and other customers in everyday English. I asked for a no charge manicure for my inconvenience. The owner said she would take five dollars off and I didn't need to leave a tip. I was surprised. And insulted. Not a good way to run a business. A dissatisfied customer is not likely to recommend a business or give a good review online. Amy Nails has just lost $$$ in future clients. Between other reviews of overbooking and my review of a substandard and painful manicure I suggest if you're looking for a new nail salon you look elsewhere. read more

I have had my nails done at a variety of salons in MA and other states for over 20 years, and Amy's Nails has been my best experience by far. Daysi, the owner, and all the ladies are so sweet natured, hard working, and have excellent skills. Their dip manicures are beautiful and their pedicures and leg/foot massages are wonderful. The salon is very clean and they have great massage chairs. Highly recommend! read more

Don't waste your time! I have been to this spa multiple times. Every time I've had an appointment, but I still have to wait 30+ minutes for service. They need to stop taking walk-ins and honor appointments. This past visit I walked about because I couldn't wait any longer. Very disappointing! I will NEVER go back! read more

This place needs to get their time management under control. It's disappointing as they are close to home and do a decent job. On many occasions I have made appointments and sit there only to wait. It's known by others that they are always running behind too. Not 15 minutes, but like 45+ minutes. They will take anyone who walks in and this is why they get behind. I know they are trying to make money and build a business, but many of us have other places to be . Today was my last try and they failed. I called a day before to make the appointment and the gentleman taking it told me my time there would be no wait. Got to appointment and my nails were wrapped. I thought off to a good start great! I then sat there for 40 minutes as they did others nails and accepted walk ins. They will wrap nails or have pedicures soaking while you sit and wait. I finally said I need to go. Unfortunately no nails done for my vacay. I got the gel off my nails, but then left. I only get small windows of time for self care and I was SO angry today . I would of gone somewhere else.
