Really nice place to get a pedicure. They are friendly and do a great job. I won't be going anywhere else.

Do not recommend at all. My first impression of Amy nails was good. It is super close to my house, I could walk, it looked very nice on the inside and the girl doing my nails was very nice. I thought they came out looking good ( I got SNS Dips with tips, which I have had before and have lasted me up to almost 2 months before, I never have problems with breaking nails) until 3 hours later one already broke, just from petting my dog? Then 3 hours later another breaks. So the next day I go back and get them fixed. The day after another breaks so I go back and get that one fixed. At this point I'm just frustrated that on my own time I have to keep going back to get my $40 nails fixed two days after getting them done. And not to mention I feel like I have to tip each girl that fixes them so I end up spending $50 on nails that suck. All the nails I got re done we're fine but it was the original set that kept breaking. So a week goes by I've been to the salon 4 times. I tell them how disappointed I am and want them to redo them all (a total of 7 out of 10 broke in a weeks time) so the front desk girl talks to who I assume is on of the owners and tells me they will give me a full set (assuming free of charge with the whole disaster I dealt with) the girl doing my nails insisted on only giving me a fill because she felt like they were good enough. So at this point I'm just like okay fine whatever. At the end I tip her $10 and head for the door and they start screaming at me to come back I didn't pay and try to charge me for a full set so at this point I would do anything to get out of there and never come back. They say a fill is $35 but a full set was $40 the first time, I don't want to argue and I hand them $40 more dollars and leave. So for my one set of nails I ended up spending over $100. Can't wait to see how long they last this time. read more

SAME LOCATION AS THE 14000 BLOCK OF BEACH!!! RUN AWAY!!!!!!! IF I COULD DO NEGATIVE I WOULD!!!!!!! I live 45 minutes away on the north side of Jacksonville and hadn't been here in forever. I'd lived around the area over there for 11 years and watched it change hands 3 or 4 times. Going in this time, once again it was someone new. I asked how much it would be for a mani/pedi and was told it was $35. No big deal. Get a text message from my boss that I need to be back on the north side as soon as possible so had to change my mind on the manicure. The young lady doing my feet couldn't understand one bit of English. Why is she with customers if she can't understand or speak to them?? After the cut on my right big toe and the crooked nail on my left I was pissed off. Getting ready to leave I was informed by the non English speaking young lady that it was $35!!! For just the pedicure?? What the hell? Then I was informed, adding insult to injury that in fact it was $30 for JUST A PEDI!!!! Yes, they were white tip but should have been no where near that expensive. Tried calling today and spoke to a nice young lady on the phone about it who seemed to have empathy to my situation. The owner however has no business even owning a business. Forget customer service skills. Why should I drive 45 minutes EACH WAY again, to have my nails messed up? You can't fix the cut on my foot nor can you fix the crooked nail? So I'm supposed to drive all the way in for???? Asked for a refund, not the whole amount but at least the tip and once again the riot act started. I have NEVER received such horrible interaction with anyone. Not even a fast food joint. I believe she said the one I got was $22 plus $5 for French Tip. Doesn't equal $30. And one would think that if the price were to change to only $5 less they could've advised and I probably would've had done both. The only thing I will advise is to stay as FAR away from this establishment as possible. My last words to her were F**k you b**ch!! And I'm not sorry cuz I meant it! read more

Came here for the first time for a gel manicure. The manicure was messily done and peeled off 2 days later. Came back in to have it redone and another lady did it and forgot to apply the top coat so someone else applied it and didn't get the edges well so it chipped that day. Skin around nails is flaking off from her picking at it too much. Both times it didn't feel like they used real gel polish. If you like your nails looking fresh and neatly done I do not recommend coming here. read more

I wasn't expecting much, first walking in. But they did amazing on the set of acrylics I got and were very polite! Definitely will return!

Not impressed. They manicure didn't even last a day. Already chipping. Not finished very well. The employees were off-putting by yawning hugely and chatting angrily amongst themselves in their language. Also strange was that during a pedicure, the manicurist came and did the manicure while seated between the chairs. Not a very good or accurate job. The only really good part was the massages on feet arms and then shoulders. read more

Warning: None of the equipment used during my pedicure (or the other patrons I observed) appeared to be sterilized or "single use" as their website explicitly claims. Tools did not come in autoclave sterile packaging and were rinsed off after use and placed back in pedicure box. Very disappointed and grossed out as that was the only reason I decided to try Amy's nails spa. Other than that, facility looked nice, staff friendly, average pedicure. Will not return. read more

Although the salon was spacious and reasonably quiet, the service was subpar. Not only was the service incredibly slow, the nail artist also spoke poor English and were difficult to understand. Furthermore my gel nails turned out jagged with paint over my fingers. Overall the job was poorly done and I will be soaking them off promptly and returning to a different salon read more

This is a great nail salon where my girlfriend has talked me into going with her several times. There are always men in here, so guys, you won't feel uncomfortable. I wish it was better! I made an appointment but was waiting for 15 minutes to be brought back for a pedicure and then had to wait 30 additional minutes before an employee came over to begin. It was very busy which was understandable for the wait but I was pretty disappointed by the result. The employee rushed to get my pedicure over with and my nails looked pretty rough- sharp angled nails and uneven bumpy polish. I waited four hours when I got home and finally took the polish off and redid it myself. Perhaps it was just "my luck" nonetheless, buyer beware. read more

I went here once about a month ago and thought it was an alright place, good for the price. I went again yesterday with a friend and while I sat down and my pedicure got started right away my friend waited about twenty minutes for someone to start her pedicure. They rushed through hers so we would be finished at the same time. I was very disappointed in my last visit and will not be back. I also now have an ingrown toenail. And while I can not say for sure if it is because of yesterdays pedicure, I assume the two correlate. read more

Just terrific! I make a point of getting a pedi here each summer vacation when I'm in the area.

I've gone to Amy nails for 15 years and have had good experiences. However, in the last six months the dynamic has changed drastically. Kim has always been who I've requested because she does an amazing job on my pedicures and gel nails. They have told me that I need to call ahead to make an appt with her, or they won't guarantee that she can work with me. (Mind you....I've NEVER complained about waiting for her when I was a walk-in). So, today I call ahead at 1:45 asking for a 3:00 appt with Kim and one other for my daughter. They tell me that Kim isn't working so I say that we'll take whoever is available. When I show up for the appt and get settled in my chair, I look over to see Kim there. Of course she wonders why I'm not with her so I tell her what the person on the phone said. The owner, Lynn, proceeds to YELL at me across the salon saying that I didn't request anyone in particular. After sitting for an hour and a half listening to them speak in Vietnamese in front of my daugter and me...clearly ABOUT me..and $130 later, I've decided that they will never see another penny of my hard earned money. It's really sad because they have super awesome employees who work really hard but I'm quite certain that I'll find another salon at the beach whose owners appreciate customers and 15 years of loyal business. read more

Great little nail shop - I can usually walk in any time on a Saturday and get served quickly. I am always offered my choice of something to drink, get a great pedicure in their spa chairs, pink and white nails done so well that I have gotten compliments from other nail techs in Chicago and Savannah, and to top it off, while my nails are drying someone comes over, massages my upper back with a huge electric massager, then finishes it off with a hand massage. All for prices comparable to, or less than, other nail salons in the area! read more

I had high expectations for this place after reading other Yelp reviews, which were unfortunately not fulfilled. It was OK. Not great, but it will do the job. It looks like a million other nail salons I've been to before. I would give my nails a B. I paid $52 for a French manicure and pedicure -- with gel on my hands. I looked on the board, and yes it is only $30 for a regular manicure + pedicure like another reviewer said. However, I was not offered a beer or wine, none of the six or seven other clients there had beer or wine either or any other drink, including the four-ish people only getting pedicures. And, neither my manicurist or pedicurist spoke more than a few words of English, which is just fine for a nail salon -- even expected. I'm only mentioning it because one reviewer said they did. Maybe it was just the two people I got. Anyway, in summary, not a bad spot, just not the stellar place I thought it would be. read more

BEWARE - THIS PLACE IS SHADY! I went to Amy's Nails on Friday with a friend of mine. We decided to try somewhere new and they had a buy 1 get 1 50% of deal going on. The owner (wife) charged me full price and ran the card before I could inquire about the coupon discount we were using. It seemed they were not aware of how to use their own system. She had charged me $55 for my pedicure and manicure but it should have been $42.50. I did not want to deal with the crazy anymore and told her to keep the $55 and that included the tip and I'd be done. I signed the receipt for the $55 charge, did not put anything for Tip and then totaled it at $55 and signed. I check my checking account today and there was a charge of $67.00 on my debit card. I went in to the store this afternoon and they pulled the receipt they had where I had signed as I noted. $12 was written in with a different handwriting, darker and thicker black pen than I used when I signed the receipt. Clearly someone at the salon had written in a $12.00 tip and split that between the two people who did my pedicure and manicure that day. That is STEALING! The lady had the nerve to say to me "you didn't want to leave a tip" Crazy lady, I did - you over charged me. Even if I did not leave a tip, that does not give you a right to go ahead and put one on their yourself. The pedicure and manicure was ok, not great. Not sure I would have gone back anyway but sure will never go again and will report to BBB because that is fraud. read more
