She pays close attention to my hair color and style every single appointment even though she sees me every 6 weeks. after moving here from Tennessee, Tennessee, I have struggled to find a hairstylist I can trust I religiously get a full head of blonde highlights, sometimes balayage and I'm very specific on what I like. After going to four different people local to the area, I can say with full honesty that Lex did the absolute best job I've ever seen on my hair! Let me start by saying everyone here was extremely nice and the environment was incredible. Music was great! I came in for a soft bronde balayage and a cut with layers. And I believe I left with unblended babylights/ highlights all over my hair and a choppy layered cut. The first red flag was when my stylist attempted to brush my hair while there was bleach/dye in it (post foils, but prior to washing). I didn't say anything because I didn't know it wasn't a normal act until I got home and saw a TON of breakage where my hair had been brushed at the top of each highlight chunk. After I asked around a bit, I learned that this was a no-no. I do know enough however to say that this doesn't look like a balayage, it looks like highlights. And although you can't see overall, the coloring doesn't match the reference pictures I provided. Again, the lighting was a bit weird in there so I couldn't tell until I got home and saw it in natural light the next morning. I also asked for more layering during the cut which really just ended up with me having more hair chopped at. I should add that the stylist offered to have me back in the coming weeks if I didn't like it. But after the breakage I discovered, I don't feel comfortable going back. 3 stars for the kindness of the stylist, she was extremely nice and great to talk to, but this wasn't worth almost $300. read more

When I started seeing Amy, my naturally curly and coarse hair was very damaged from box color and flat irons. I hadn't had any luck with salons in the past; I felt like I always left with hair that was nothing close to what I'd asked for. I felt like nobody "understood" how to work with my hair. I've been Amy's client for years now, and we've safely been through just about every color on the spectrum! She took my naturally DARK brown hair to a gorgeous blonde without a hint of orange. When I was done with the blonde, we tried something else. AND THEN we did the NBR extensions. I invested in 3 rows of NBR extensions, and I've worn them consistently for about a year now. They look SO natural. The first thing anyone says whenever they find out my hair isn't actually MY hair is that they had no idea! My hair makes me feel like the best version of myself when I catch my reflection. I feel glamorous and confident and sexy, and I feel like I have the head of hair I'm supposed to have with these extensions. Not only does Amy meet your expectations, she blows them so far out of the water that you literally could not imagine how good it was going to turn out! Best. Investment. Ever. read more
