PLEASE READ I have…read morebeen a patient of Doctor Fagelmans for over 5 years. Last year due to switching a family group insurance plan I had to switch doctors, which was upsetting. I spent over a year trying to find another primary care doctor, however I was unable to find anyone that was even close to good as Fagelman is. I now have switched insurance providers JUST to have Dr. Fagelman as my primary care physician. His staff is unbelievably helpful and friendly. Every time I come into the office I am greeted with a big hello and smile. Furthermore, they always remember my name! Delita and the receptionists are caring, sweet, and very kind people. They go the extra step to create a relaxing environment where people feel welcomed. The reason why I am writing this is because Fagelman has always taken and extra step while caring for me and my many (thankful) friends I have referred to him. I once showed up unannounced with no appointment and somehow he managed to fit me in. I could tell he was busy in and out of appointments but somehow made time for me. His bedside manors are incredible-I feel very comfortable to talk to him about any issue or concern I may have. Fagelman approaches healthcare in a very cautious and proactive way. When he is treating me or diagnosing me he considers all aspects of my life, previous health issues, and overall wellness into consideration. He sees the larger picture as well as the smaller one! I mentioned during my appointment that going to the doctor gives me anxiety and that I would really appreciate someone taking the time to review my lab results with me after my physical. After my bloodwork and routine physical, instead of receiving a call to discuss my results, I got a phone call from the front desk telling me I owed $375. My immediate reaction was confusion because my annual physical is fully covered by my insurance. Being unexpectedly told I owed hundreds of dollars after what I believed was a covered preventive visit was incredibly stressful. What made the situation worse was the interaction with the front desk. When I expressed my surprise and frustration, the staff member laughed and said something along the lines of, "Sorry, your picture looked so innocent and now you're pissed." That felt completely unprofessional and dismissive, especially given how anxious I already was. They then offered to "discount" the charge to somewhere in the $200 range. After I questioned the bill and went back and forth with them, they ultimately removed the charge entirely. If the fee could simply be waived after I pushed back, it made the whole situation feel arbitrary and left me wondering whether patients who don't question these bills just end up paying them. It honestly felt like a money grab rather than a transparent billing process. What finally pushed me to write this review is that I still had never received a call to go over my lab work or test results, despite specifically asking for one during my appointment. When I called the office myself, I was simply told they would send me a link to access my results online. Then they added that if I wanted someone to actually explain my results in more depth, I would need to schedule *and pay for* another appointment. That was honestly the most disappointing part of the entire experience. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable. I wanted a physician to spend a few minutes reviewing the bloodwork from my annual physical, especially after I had shared that medical appointments make me anxious. Instead, I was treated like discussing my own health was an additional service that required another visit. Overall, I left feeling dismissed, frustrated, and genuinely hurt. The only proactive phone call I received from this office was about collecting money--not about my health or my results. Between the confusing billing, the unprofessional interaction with the front desk, and the complete lack of follow-up regarding my care, I cannot recommend this practice.

I had a physical there in June and another visit a couple of weeks ago because I had some additional medical issues. In both of these appointments, the treatment I received from Dr. Chung was awful, and came nowhere near the standard of care one would expect from their primary care physician. Your health and wellbeing are so important - which is why it's so important that you never become a patient of Dr. Chung's. On my first visit, the annual physical, Dr. Chung spent a total of 4 minutes in the room if I'm being generous. After going through the regular PCP motions, he asked me if I had any questions or concerns about my health, of which I had a few and wanted to ask him about. But when I did attempt to ask him about each of these concerns, he rebuffed me, saying he didn't have time to address them and that I would need to make another appointment to address these issues. At probably every doctor's visit I've ever had in my life, the doctor asks if you have any further questions or concerns. Whenever I replied, all of the doctors tried to address my questions and concerns in some way - a little advice, a prescription, a referral, etc. - until this appointment with Dr. Chung. I was stunned, and I still am. So I made a follow-up appointment and had it a few weeks ago, in which I wanted to talk about 4 concerns, 3 of which I put in the notes in the request for the appointment, so that the doctor would know exactly what I was coming in for. Though I won't reveal the exact medical issues, I could've told you before the appointment that what I needed for each of them was a referral to a specialist. When I showed up to that appointment, however, Dr. Chung started the conversation by saying, "There's no way we're going to get through all of these issues. I have time for maybe 2." When I asked why we couldn't get through all the issues, he said that he just didn't have time to get through them all in one appointment. He then told me - again - that another appointment would be needed to address the other 2 issues. So, once Dr. Chung's primary goal had been achieved -- negotiating down the number of my issues he was going to address so that he could force me to have to come back and get to bill for another appointment -- Dr. Chung finally started working on what is the primary goal for every other doctor, but only the secondary goal for him: figuring out the best way to treat my medical problems. Sure enough, when Dr. Chung actually allowed me to speak and tell him about each of these problems, he quickly agreed that each issue had to be addressed with a referral to a specialist. Dr. Chung actually spent almost the entire appointment on his computer searching for the doctors in my plan's network that he refers patients to. In total, he probably spent about 15 minutes with me in the room, but it was spent searching for 3 doctors who his office apparently refers patients to all the time. On the second doctor, whose name Dr. Chung couldn't remember, I started to search myself in order to speed things up so that there would be a chance of addressing more of my issues. I found the doctor he was thinking of on ZocDoc within 30 seconds. So, despite his best efforts, Dr. Chung actually was able to issue 3 referrals instead of just 2. To add icing to the cake, one of the specialists he referred me to has moved and no longer works at the practice, so I will have to get a different referral for that one, too. For the last issue - which I guarantee will simply require a referral to a specialist - I would have to make another appointment - again, not because the medical issues need more time to address than can be fit in a single visit, but because of ineptitude with a basic computer function. Thankfully for me and my health, I will not allow him to pull the same trick again. Dr. Chung provides an unacceptably poor level of care. Whatever you do, don't trust him with your healthcare.

Doctor Harghel goes above and beyond and makes sure his patients are seen and are taken care of. Often times when I cannot make it to the office, and my blood tests are abnormal he makes sure to inform me of this. I am always squeezed in when I am not feeling well. She is highly intelligent, has a wonderful demeanor, and shows an amazing level of compassion. Her intuition is exceptional, and it is almost like she has a natural talent for helping you achieve wellness, the way some people have a talent for painting, or making music. I find the way she combines holistic medicine, acupuncture, and traditional Chinese medicine with the western approach I had always experienced in the past to be refreshing and remarkably effective as a means of diagnosing and treating me. She is a true healer. I was immediately at ease with her, and find getting treatment from her very relaxing, especially acupuncture. I see other reviewers have commented on how they fall asleep while getting treatment and I can say I have the very same experience. My quality of life has improved measurably since I began seeing her. I am physically, mentally, and emotionally healthier than I was, due to her treatment, and the treatment of the great doctors she has referred me to over the years. I don't understand the negative reviews here about the office staff, as my experiences have only ever been positive. Her office has been great about making appointments, calling in prescriptions for me, and fighting my insurance company when they won't approve my prescriptions. She is the best. I think the world of her, and would highly recommend her. It never feels like she is going through the motions. She really, truly, cares about you. And that is the most important thing to me in a doctor.

Dr. Sanghavi is not only serving his patients in NYC, he is connected with his community in India where he also donated medical equipment. He donated medications for a very sick woman who had a bleeding stomach ulcers and could not afford the medication.
