Upon walking in, you see tons off different boutiques sectioned off into different areas. There are handcrafted crafts and gifts from all different vendors, and no matter who you are, you're bound to find something you like, including candles, clothes, sports, food, jewelry, home decor, etc. Prices vary by product and vendor, so of course some vendors will be more expensive than others. Some even sell name-brands like Marc Jacobs. For the most part, I think prices were pretty fair! Not only were the products great, but so were the workers. One of the men who was stocking found out that I love penguins, so he was showing me penguin-themed items. He was nice, and we all kept laughing. Also, when we were checking out, both cashiers were extremely personable. One checked us out, and the other wrapped some of the more fragile items, which I appreciated. The cashier who checked us out absolutely loved us and had a great conversation with us about how we all had so much in common with her. When it comes to location, the building is within a strip mall, and they have tons of parking and other popular shops around. Overall, my friends and I all said we would for sure return to the store! Apparently, vendors normally update their booths every few weeks unless they're out of state, so we will definitely come back soon to see the new stock. Since it is Christmas time, the store was FULL of Christmas and holiday decor. I loved the atmosphere because of this! There were a few bare booths where no vendors were anymore, so it seems as though a couple of vendors left. *If you're an entrepreneur, I'd definitely look into a booth here!*

There is an eclectic selection of goods being sold and is a nice place to browse, as long as you are not looking for anything specific. The negative aspect is that there were many vacant booths/spaces.

I love how they have individual booths. Which, makes it really fun! Most items come from local artists which, I love. They also have many things from all around the world. Which, makes for a unique one of a kind experience. There's also a little cafe that makes tasty treats for all to enjoy. Along with a coffee bar that also serves alcohol. Do, stop by for a drink to enjoy. Everyone was super sweet and very helpful! They have a huge selection of candies from all over the world and local specialties. They also have different bread mixes, cake mixes, dips, jams, jellies, pastas, sauces, and lots of other treats! Their prices are also very fair for the quality of what you get. Which, makes the price worth it. So, if you're looking for a fun festive experience then, go here! You won't regret it.

Although I didn't find what I was looking for, I found many reasons to return. Considering it's a bunch of different vendors you really never know what you'll find. Each section is curated different and the prices range depending on the vendor. I took one star off because no staff acknowledged me on my visit even though multiple workers walked by me.

I had a terrible and honestly humiliating experience at the Ross in Bloomingdale, IL on April 21,…read more2026 around 10:00 PM. I was standing in line waiting to check out, minding my own business with headphones on while one register was open and the customer ahead of me had a large purchase. Out of nowhere, an employee from across the store started yelling in my direction. At first I couldn't hear because of my earbuds, but when I took one out, I heard them yelling at me to "look in another f******* direction" and accusing me of staring at them. That accusation was completely false. I was not looking at this employee at all. I was simply waiting my turn. The way this was handled, loudly and publicly, was incredibly unprofessional and embarrassing. Other customers and the cashier started looking at me like I had done something wrong, which made the situation even worse. Based on how quickly I was singled out and accused without any interaction, I genuinely feel I was negatively stereotyped based on my appearance. There was no justification for that kind of assumption or treatment. I ended up putting my items down and leaving the store because of how uncomfortable and embarrassed I felt. I've shopped at Ross many times and have never experienced anything like this. This was unacceptable behavior from staff. Customers should not be publicly yelled at, accused, or made to feel like they've done something wrong when they haven't. I hope management takes this seriously and addresses the conduct of their employees.

Finally, after nine long months, my furniture has arrived! Yay!…read more I ordered the furniture on New Year's Day 2022, and today was the day. What brought me here was two-fold: the immediate reason is that they had a daybed on clearance and I needed a guest bed; I had been looking for a full-sized daybed since it could serve multiple purposes. In addition, I had been looking at sofas for months and noticed in their catalog a couch with arms that had a pleated arm, which I have not seen before. Usually in couches I see a standard track, sock, or some other similar arm, but I loved the look of the pleat. I had intended to only purchase the daybed, but decided I might as well just get it all. I didn't realize how backlogged they were so it's good I did. The process of ordering was... for me... involved, but others I am certain won't take as long. I wanted to make the perfect choice for me, so I looked at basically every fabric they had. You might think that's hyperbole but I honestly think I did. The only thing I knew I wanted was for it to be very firm and for it to have pleats on the arms. I spent 3-5 hours at the store that day viewing couches, fabrics, deciding on pillow fabrics, and so on. There actually was a big snowstorm that day and they sent a few people home and by the time I left I had to drive like 40 miles per hour home from Glendale Heights to Ravenswood, but Chris (who no longer works there) was very patient and the other folks who work there were great too. I need to get an ottoman for my new couch, and I'd be happy to work with any of these designers. However, my review is a bit mixed, unfortunately. Whilst working with the designers was good and they were very helpful, the delivery wasn't as good. I decided to err on the side of a higher review so that I don't give too much weight to this somewhat small thing, but the delivery was a problem in two ways. One, when I asked the guy if he could lift the daybed slightly so I could adjust the rug that was underneath, he gave me a look like I had called him a slur and grudgingly moved it a tiny bit. His reaction made me not want to ask him for help so I just struggled with it later on my own. Secondly, I noticed when I returned upstairs that they had gotten some sort of brown goo on my brand new (fewer than two and a half weeks) painted walls. I tried washing it off but only got so much. So now I have to correct that, which is really, really annoying.

SKELETONS IN THE CLOSET…read more Spirit Halloween is mostly crap--we know it, they know it. Don't mind me, just airing out my grievances against this chain of seasonal décor stores. I could start by bashing Spirit for charging insane prices, but that's too obvious. Maybe I should dog them on their unforgiving return policy, or the fact that no store ever appears in the same location twice (making it impossible to find the correct spot on Yelp). There's really no point in updating the address, since 9 months from now Spirit will take over (ahem, *possess*) whatever empty business is lying around. This store was on Army Trail Rd near Best Buy/Jo Ann Fabrics, in a shopping area called Bloomingdale Court. I visited in early October, long before the store has had a chance to get trashed by unsupervised children. The big ticket items are looking uglier and uglier, like they're straight off of Wish.com. The demented clowns and shrieking zombies look unintentionally hilarious and reek of a horsesh*t build quality. I stood inside for a solid minute, staring at (what appeared to be) a werewolf-type monster, thinking "what IS this, and why does its growling sound like a broken Nutribulllet??" Many of their products often malfunction, get returned, and wind up back on the shelves. This is especially true with electronics like fog machines or the motion-activated spider, as there's no easy way to repair shoddy wiring. Over the years, I've seen scores of 'open box' discounts that I've been wise enough to avoid. DO NOT buy anything with moving parts from Spirit. A plastic 5ft poseable skeleton was a whopping $100! For that price, you can probably get a REAL skeleton (just ask the props department from the movie Poltergeist ^). The exact same item at Home Depot was only $30; Spirit, care to explain why your stuff is TRIPLE the cost of a competitor? One thing that didn't suck: a set of Ghostbusters window clings ($10) that includes a terror dog, Gozor, the ghost librarian, Ectomobile, Slimer, and the Stay Puft marshmallow man. Also a decent purchase was a ouija board doormat ($21) that was discounted 20% thanks to a mail offer. They had a lot of doormat designs--Stranger Things, Hocus Pocus, Harry Potter, Buffy, etc. The guy at checkout was cool, but his pleasant attitude couldn't mask all the junk surrounding him. Only shop here if you've got a sizeable coupon, and even then be smart about your purchase--odds are good you won't be getting a refund. * TL;DR * To say that Spirit's products are cheap Chinese knockoffs is an affront to China and an insult to cheap knockoffs. Every year in early August, these stores pop up like warts on a mutant's ass, claiming abandoned storefronts to peddle their oft-broken and overpriced wares. By 10/31, the shelves are cluttered with returns marked "15% off due to wires not working", and by November 3rd Spirit has packed up whatever garbage didn't sell and vanishes into the night. Not unlike visiting the apple orchard, dragging these guys on Yelp has become a yearly tradition. I love October, but I hate Spirit for their price gouging practices on bottom-tier merchandise. All stores are virtually the same, and all of them are equally loathsome. ^ yes, they used actual human remains in the climactic scene with JoBeth Williams' character from 1982's Poltergeist. Don't waste your time with the 2015 remake, stick with the original, and remember that at the tail end of the movie those hyper-realistic skeletons bobbing around in the pool were living, breathing people at one point...now that's freakin' scary! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
