    Gooey Brownie Sundae

Pretty good, place was out of many flavors and bananas by the time I was there. It was late but still, such a bummer. Flavors were good and service was pretty quick. Location was strange as there was houseless people bothering customers. The brownie Sunday was pretty good but not as gooey as I'd hoped. Over all good, got the job done of late night cravings

Always such a classic and soooo nostalgic!! Quick service and ice cream is amazing. I usually get sweet cream but got Oreo since it's made with Mexican vanilla (the goat). I got whipped cream and they used a piper thing..? So cool! It was really creamy and perfect. Love Amy's and will never stop coming here fr

Okay call me an ice cream snob, but I was not impressed by Amy's. Granted, I did get a blood orange sorbet, but the ice cream flavors available did not appeal to me. I also thought the ice cream was too sweet and milky-tasting. Even with a line, there's not much of a wait. I also thought it was tacky that they toss the ice cream in the air for a show lol. I'm not much a fan of distraction to compensate for the actual ice cream quality.

Solid, creamy ice cream. I got the Mexican vanilla flavor and it tasted great. Definitely satisfies the sweet tooth.

Tiny Sugar Cone with Oreo & Golden Crunch (~$6)

Ordered: Tiny Sugar Cone with Oreo & Golden Crunch (~$6) Aya's take: We were walking along Congress Avenue on this gorgeous, hot day and decided to stop by Amy's for a little sweet treat. I got the Tiny Sugar Cone which was just the right dessert portion for me and it was great that I got to choose 2 flavors, Oreo and Golden Crunch. Oreo is made with Mexican vanilla and the Golden Crunch is cold press vanilla, Biscoff, and Butterfinger. Both were super smooth, creamy, rich, and actually complemented the flavor profiles of one another. I wish they had some seating or shaded area to enjoy our ice cream since it started melting almost instantly. Great spot and nice staff!

Grabbed some ice cream here per recommendation of a friend. Ordered the oreo and coffee in "mini" and got some toppings. Oreo was yummy! Honestly I think I could have gone without the toppings, but if you're into that, they're fine! Very creamy flavor. The line was a bit long but goes by pretty quickly! Our cashier was the best and super friendly! Would come again (:

After finishing dinner at Lucky Robot next door, we were on the hunt for something sweet to cap off our meal. Enter Amy's Ice Creams--a little window serving up some seriously delicious ice cream! I'm a huge fan of chunky ice cream, and Amy's does not disappoint. I went for the Chocoberry, which has a delightfully light strawberry flavor with a gelato-like texture and is packed with giant fudge chunks. It was heavenly! I got a tiny scoop (just $5.88), and it was the perfect size for me. My boyfriend chose the Mexican vanilla with cookie dough mixed in, and I was pleasantly surprised to see them grab a big scoop of cookie dough and chop it right into the ice cream--just like Cold Stone! It was such a fun touch and insured chunky ice cream. Overall, it was the perfect way to finish off our night. The staff were super cheerful and wonderful, adding to the delightful experience. If you're in the area, definitely stop by Amy's for a sweet treat!

Love to support the local Amy's ice cream. Extra creamy and high on flavor. We ordered chocoberry and mint chocolate. This is a walk up and order location. There is a bench out front. We ended up ordering a coffee across the street and sitting at their tables for shade. Street parking only. Service is friendly and quick. They let us try the flavors as well.

Very fun place to try different flavors and to get malt shakes!! Loved malts and they are hard to find if you don't live near an ice cream shop. Staff was friendly and very helpful with questions. Limited space Insode but lots of seating outside. Def be back!

Stumbled across Amy's while walking on Congress Ave. The line was long and they have dairy free options so I was excited to try. We didn't have to wait too long as they have a good flow. Order at one window and pickup around the corner. I went with vegan Mexican vanilla since Mexican vanilla, Mexican hot chocolate, etc. seems to be popular in ATX. I enjoyed my ice cream, although it was hard not to compare to the popular chain across the street :) and the staff was very friendly. We sat on a bench outside and enjoyed our treat... but beware - the benches are very low.

Mexican vanilla with strawberries in a tiny-sized cup

As an ice cream lover, I had to try Amy's while in Austin! The chain's signature flavor is Mexican Vanilla, which I ordered in a Tiny-sized cup with strawberries on top. The ice cream was delicious and very smooth! I would probably try a bolder flavor next time, because the Mexican Vanilla isn't anything to write home about. There is street parking along South Congress Avenue but it fills up fast! I parked in a laid parking garage a few blocks away.

Amy's Ice Creams is a staple in Austin, TX and a definite must-try! They have so many flavors and toppings to choose from. Located in the SoCo area of Austin, they are a small shop with window-ordering. Depending on the day and/or time, there could be a line. But it moves pretty quickly and the staff helps keep it going. They give you suggestions if you're unsure what you want or a first timer, and it's a great experience!

While walking around Austin, came by Amy's Ice Cream and had heard it was a place to try if you're in the mood for a cold fix. And when is ice cream ever a bad idea outside of those who are lactose intolerant? So we decided to grab a cup Before coming, I had read that their Mexican Vanilla was the flavor to try, and that is exactly what I did. So my question was, what makes it a Mexican Vanilla? Well, when you put it in your mouth, you definitely notice it isn't like any other vanilla you've had, but it is also somewhat familiar in a "have we met before?" kind of way. It's almost like a vanilla bean with a Madagascar vanilla mixed together, but also with a hint of something else. It is familiar yet unique and I was into it. Also true the coffee flavor which has a rich coffee taste that comes through with each bite It's always nice when you have the opportunity to try something unique that you haven't had anywhere else, and that Mexican Vanilla ice cream hit the spot. If you're in the area in Austin, and want some ice cream, head over to Amy's and get yourself a cup

Between the three of us, there was a little bit of everything--from classic comfort flavors to things I never thought would work in ice cream but somehow absolutely did. (Please ignore the F, E, D--this was how I kept track of who ordered what). Roasted Beets & Fresh Mint (F, E) - the absolute winner of the night and my #1 flavor. I never thought I'd describe an ice cream as refreshing in the way a sorbet is, but somehow this pulled it off while staying rich and creamy. Delicious, subtly minty, unbelievably smooth, and surprisingly refreshing. The beet flavor was mild enough that it didn't taste earthy or overpowering--just mellow and creamy, while the mint made all the difference in brightening everything up. I genuinely never had such a refreshing ice cream that wasn't sorbet. Such a unique flavor that somehow works perfectly, and absolutely something I'd get again. GOAT Cheese, Thyme, and Honey (E, D) - my #2 and a complete 100% hit. Tangy, creamy, slightly savory, sweet, and incredibly unique while still tasting approachable. It somehow tastes exactly like the name promises without feeling too "out there." If you're nervous about goat cheese, trust me and try it. Easily an instant reorder. Dark Chocolate, Olive Oil & Sea Salt (E, D) - rounding out my top three. Such a good balance against the sweetness of the rest of the ice cream options. Rich, deep chocolate flavor without becoming overwhelming, while the olive oil and sea salt round everything out and keep it from tasting too sugary. A flavor I appreciated more and more between bites of sweeter scoops. Hill Country Honey & Vanilla Bean (E) - one of the smoothest vanilla bean ice creams I've had. It reminded me of a traditional ice milk soft serve in the best way possible: creamy, nostalgic, and incredibly easy to eat. A deceptively simple flavor done really well. Very Strawberry (F) - a clean strawberry flavor that leaned a little artificial, but honestly? Still really good. Bright, fruity, and easy to enjoy. Cookies & Cream (F) - this one hit HARD when you got a full spoonful. I never liked cookies & cream before this, but this one genuinely changed my mind. Probably the only cookies & cream I would willingly eat. Chocolate Chocolate (F) - love chocolate? Get this. That's all you need to know. Coffee & Cream (D) - oooh. This immediately reminded me of a keto coffee ice cream I had once and really enjoyed. Rich coffee flavor without tasting too bitter or overpowering--would absolutely get this again. Sweet Cream w. Strawberry (D) - unfortunately, a miss for me compared to the others. Too creamy for me and not enough strawberry flavor to justify choosing it over the Very Strawberry. Overall, the adventurous flavors completely stole the show here. My tier list by far: 1) Roasted Beets & Fresh Mint, 2) GOAT Cheese, Thyme, and Honey, and 3) Dark Chocolate, Olive Oil & Sea Salt. Unique flavors that actually feel intentional rather than gimmicky, and all three are instant repeat orders for me. Atmosphere-wise, the place was pleasant, parking was surprisingly easy, and while it wasn't overwhelmingly crowded, the place is definitely more popular than it first appears. I never thought I'd be a fan of Americanized ice cream--usually it's way too sweet for me--but Lick completely proved me wrong. Somehow, the flavors felt balanced, intentional, and actually let the ingredients shine without drowning me in sugar. Touché, Lick. Dangerous spot for indecisive people because suddenly you're convincing yourself that yes, maybe you do need another scoop.

While we were there, it was always a packed line so it definitely gets really busy from 8-9PM! We got three larges for a total of twelve flavors, a little bit of overlap: Mine: Dark Chocolate Olive Oil and Sea Salt - Really liked this, the bitter saltiness offset the creaminess really well. Coffee with Cream - A very light but roasty coffee, like a light coffee. I liked this!; Goat Cheese, Thyme and Honey - The herbal flavor is more subtle than I expected! Not too sweet, liked this one Sweet Cream & Strawberry - this one didn't stand out much to me Others: Roasted Beets and Fresh Mint - I really liked this one! The beets and mint hit on the back of your tongue, yum Chocolate Chocolate - Very intense chocolate, not too crazy about it though Cookies & Cream - Surprisingly good! I liked this one Very Strawberry - way more strawberry than the sweet cream. I'd recommend this over the sweet cream and strawberry Hill Country Honey & Vanilla Bean - Pretty light, a classic. Thought it was okay. If I had a tier list it would be: 1) Coffee with Cream 2) Goat Cheese 3) Dark Chocolate Olive Oil 4) Roasted Beets and Mint 5) Cookies & Cream 6) Very Strawberry 7) Vanilla Bean 8) Chocolate Chocolate 9) Sweet Cream & Strawberry Overall, a few hits, a few misses, but it was a fun tasting experience. We paid via inKind with no issues, which made it a pretty solid value.

Every single bite of this was packed with flavor. They also carve out a bit of the middle to put the condensed milk which makes every bite much more equal than if it was just placed at the top.
