I've gone there a few times and always been underwhelmed by the service. The last straw for me was when I went to get my nails done for my wedding. We called ahead of time to make a reservation. It was me, my mom, my 2 sisters, and my best friend. They knew we were all together but for some reason I got sat far away from everyone (even though there was room). The guy told me they couldn't move me so I let it go. Then they got mad when I was trying to talk to everyone because they were discussing my wedding the following day and asking me questions. We weren't being overly loud and we were the only people there so we weren't disturbing other patrons. Not only were they extremely rude. They messed up my nail beds and cuticles. I have gone here twice. Both times because I had a gift certificate. The first time, I had artificial nails done. They were done well, and looked nice. My daughter had a manicure, because her nails are gorgeous, and she doesn't need any help. As I am getting my nails, a female tech walks up and is staring at my eyebrows. I do have thick eyebrows, and they definitely could have used a waxing, which the tech very rudely pointed out. Since I was going on vacation, I ended up getting my eyebrows waxed. The room was small and stuffy. The waxing hurt. I have had my eyebrows waxed many times with minimal pain, but this felt like she was ripping my face off. It was very unpleasant. I went to pay, and handed the tech my gift certificate and my credit card. She comes back and tells me she forgot to apply the gift certificate, and charged the complete amount to my credit card. I knew was not going to be coming back, so I asked for the amount of the gift certificate to be paid to me in cash, or she could reverse the charge on my card, and charge the correct amount. She chose to give me the amount of the gift certificate. I would not recommend this place. The staff is rude and disinterested in what customers want. read more

My daughter and daughter-in-law took me to get my nails done on my birthday we were the first customers there with an appointment no one else was in there the owner I believe a male helped us and got us started he did my nails first but was very rude never spoke a word not even a hello he got upset as I sneeze into my arm and told me to keep my hand still treated me like I was a little kid really we pay for our service and you treat us like that thank you Amy's for a wonderful birthday present. Worst pedicure and gel nails I have ever received this evening at Amy's. Tall, thin gentleman did a horrible job on both. During the pedicure, he kept looking away from the task, paying attention to others conversations and did not seem interested in what he was doing at all. During the shellac manicure it was obvious the product he was using was lumpy and clumpy and was not smoothing out, but he forced it any way and my nails were very rough and bumpy. He also didn't put the polish down close to the cuticle so it already looked like grow off. I made him redo one and he seemed uninterested and irritated. They were very busy and I felt like the task of the evening was to run as many people through as they could. I am posting a picture of the pedi, but I already soaked off the shellac as soon and I got home. Total waste of money and time. read more

We absolutely love coming to Amy's Nail & Spa. We've tried a few other places in town, but we didn't like them as much as Amy's. Everyone is always very nice. They welcome everyone who comes through the door and make sure you are comfortable. I love the fact that they use the plastic covers in the tubs and always wear gloves. They even ask if you want your nails trimmed or feet filed while you are getting your pedi. read more

My daughter and I chose Amy's to get our manicures over every other place in Kerrville, for starters the woman who did my daughter's nails rushed right through and left her nails all thick with uneven lengths. The man who did my acrylic nails was very agressive, rude and disrespectful. Both of the workers we're sub-par. Amy's husband is rude and VERY rough. The pedicure water was scolding hot, he even tested it out and agreed it was way to hot. It took about 5 mins to reach a decent temp so my feet didn't get much of a soak. He rushed through my pedi, being rough and cutting me to where I bled. The man who was supposed to be taking care of me was more interested in who was coming into the salon than providing good service to the customer right in front of him. My husband went with me which is unusual. The girl who did his pedi rushed through; he was finished in less than 20 minutes. Tip for mail people; since men don't get polish, you ought to spend a little extra time on their massage while they wait for their wife. You'd get a better tip. This girl was the opposite. I have always been happy with my service here. I love to do something different and unique and every time I come in they have been able to accommodate me. They are a friendly group. I have to say at times people do have issues with any salon but it is how it's handled that makes the difference and Amy always step up to fix the issue. I've tried this place twice and gotten okay service but every time within a week my nails are lifting. I have extremely short acrylics and am a stay at home mom so there's really no reason to be lifting other than not being done well. My pedicures always seen rushed, this past time they put 5 layers of polish on my toes. I can feel a distinctive groove on the edges where the polish is built up. These are all things that I noticed after I left otherwise I would've brought it up then. But for $70 in services every 2 weeks I think I would be getting better quality. First two times were great I came out with a fantastic set a nails but this last time. I came out with burns on my fingertips from where he cut my nails down using the grinder.
