Came here 4th of July weekend and it was pretty busy it was a 45 minute wait. We stayed because everywhere was about a 45 min to an hour wait. I've been to the Burlington location so I was excited to try a different location to see if they were the same. I will say the Cherry Hill location their portions are much bigger for the omelette. Came here with a party of four and I ordered The Ciao Bella. The omelette was amazing the garlic, onions, Spinach, provolone and fried chicken combination tasted great together. The meal came with breakfast potatoes and toast. They have so many options to chose from so each time I try to have something different. Staff was very friendly, we had John as our server; he was funny, knew the menu well and recommended we try the pancakes the next time (which we will). My husband and I weren't able to finish our meal to took it to go. Enough for another meal. I will say the parking is kind of disappointing. We had to circle around twice to find parking. Amy's is a neighborhood fixture and has been for years. Come hungry and be prepared for a wait if you come at Brunch-time (They close at 2 and no reservations) or on a Weekend at all. Solid breakfast eats. Amy's boasts a humongous menu that makes it difficult to choose what you want to order! I settled on a breakfast "skillet", and my friend ordered a chocolate chip French toast. The skillet serving was large, piled with common breakfast ingredients like potatoes, sausage, peppers, bacon, eggs, etc. Because I was hungry, I ate it all but I could see it easily feeding two people. No bueno. Was craving an omelette after a long doctor's appointment so I stopped in with high hopes. That was my mistake. Ordered a Philly cheesesteak omelette and what arrived to the table was an omelette filled with massive amounts of raw onion. So basically a raw onion omelette. Needless to say, not very appetizing. Years ago, we went to an Amy's Omelette House in Long Branch but didn't really care for it. But, I've been wanting to give it a try at a different location. Am I glad we did! When we arrived, the restaurant was packed with customers. But, surprisingly, we were seated immediately. Booths and tables are all combined in the center of the restaurant and the area where the drinks are made can be seen as well. Various knickknacks decorate the white walls, while large framed pictures adorn the red one. Hubs ordered the Beach Bum Omelette which is spinach and Swiss cheese omelette topped with 2 potato pancakes . He thought that there was nothing special about the omelet but he liked the potato pancakes a lot. it tasted like they went above and beyond and they threw in onions into the potato pancakes. It tasted better than usual and didn't taste plain Daughter ordered the Shrimp and grits skillet and liked it. The skillet has grilled blackened shrimp tossed with bacon, scallions, red peppers and garlic. It's served over pepper jack and cheddar grits and topped with 2 eggs any style. She order the eggs over easy. She thought that the grits were very well done. She said that she was going to leave half of it behind for us to share but she ate most of it because it was that good. Finally, I had 2 eggs and upgraded to pancakes with bananas. I loved it. The pancakes were nice and fluffy. It was also infused with bananas and had extra bananas on top. YUM! Not my favorite place the menu is ridiculous with options hundreds of them actually. I like quality better than quantity. By having all these options you are force to Sacrifice quality and use a good deal of canned non fresh options. I had chicken and waffles was good not Great . Oh, I just love Amy's. Sometimes the wait time is crazy but this place is that good you have to wait (depending on the day/time you go). Every time I make my way to Amy's, I kick myself for not coming here more often. Initially, the worst thing you can do is to show up famished because everything on the menu demands your attention. And the menu is extensive. I've never had a breakfast here that I have even remotely regretted. Being someone who wants to taste a multitude of the dishes they have, my only regret is that I have not tracked my previous orders so I could reduce the dilemma of shopping the menu and trying to remember my previous experiences. We've been wanting to try out Amy's for some time now and when we had a free morning we jumped at the opportunity. It was loud, busy and pretty sure at one point our server forgot about us. When the customer asks the server how their day is going, it's OK to fib and say Oh not bad, instead of going on about how bad of a day you've had and how long your shift is and which coworker is bugging you... The menu is too big. When we finally decided on what we wanted we had to wait some time before we got the food. We joked that maybe she was cooking it herself. He asked a question about an omelette he was thinking of ordering and she described it as a brick. No offense but that doesn't sound appetizing. My omelette had potato pancakes inside with sausage gravy on top... and apparently comes with hash browns on the side, which were unnecessary. The potato pancakes were delicious and the gravy was thick and flavorful. The hash browns were great with a slight crispness to them. Too much potato going on the plate though. In my opinion his brick of an omelette wasn't very satisfying. The saving grace was the hella good pancake I got on the side ( I have a problem deciding between sweet and savory for breakfast). The locals in the area kept saying that before I leave jersey I had to try pork roll. I had no idea what it was but they insisted on a pork roll egg and cheese. I looked up local spots and stumbled upon Amys, which had great reviews, not to mention there was a line outside both times that I rode by. I must say that they did not disappoint. My co worker got the pork roll egg and cheese on bagel, and I got mine on a roll along with loaded potatoes. Everything was really good, and the drip on my eggs was great. I also ordered grits, but they weren't really good, thus the reason for the 4 stars. The service is super friendly and they bring the food to your car for you. My favorite breakfast/brunch place in South Jersey! We've been here a handful of times and we always leave satisfied. Amy's is normally crowded and it's with good reason. Their menu is very comprehensive, with a ton of omelet options (among other breakfast and brunch favorites). Maybe a bit TOO many options, as we are normally ravenous when we arrive and we become quickly fatigued by viewing the dozens and dozens of omelet choices. He and I always seem to land on the same thing - The Marathoner (egg white omelet with spinach, tomato, avocado, and turkey) which is served with toast and a cup of fresh fruit. We normally negate the healthiness of the omelet by ordering a huge bowl of grits and slathering it with butter, but we earned it, okay? The waitstaff is always smiling and they check on you regularly, in spite of being super busy. Their decaf coffee is smooth and you don't have to get all decked-out to come here. You may not want to wear your PJ's though. The line has to be drawn somewhere :) Parking can be a little tight but it seems that you can park in the neighboring lot of one of corporate buildings. I think I've seen it all now , but I could be wrong what is next I wonder. Lets see I have been to a Pancake House not just an I-HOP but an actual Pancake house in OBX. I have been to a Waffle House the smell of that batter being prepped alone gives me the chills. I can safely say I have been to an Omelette House, Amy's no less. Over 219 omelets can be found here, yes this is the "Mecca" off all things that consists of eggs ! The usual suspects down to the different varieties that can be added to an omelet to the point where you'll be saying "Really" or "Seriously" . Endless options to be perused from, but there is more to this diner. You see Amy and here styles along with the unique decor they have going on in here offer you more. From pancakes to waffles, I even saw plate filling sandwiches. They accommodate to all , what ever your fancy is, Amy's Omelette House has it. Rob was our waiter , pretty much he was on the ball showing a great deal of patience when it came to us ordering. I am assuming we had that dead give away of just being overwhelmed by the endless options of what you can do to an egg. He, along with his coworkers have seen all the reactions, the long pauses, the "Uhhs" and "No wait I want this one" to "Never mind give me that one" types of customers. Myself I was still in awe with 5 different numbers running around in my head, did I mention 219 different ways you can prepare an omelet? The number that I finally ended up with was number 178 on the menu. Rob gave me a fist bump on this one , seeing this is the one of the best sellers. Plus I trust him, he is a 4 for 4 guy. If you don't know what that is I will explain in my footnote later. Number 178 on the big chart is called the " Italian Heart Burn" that consisted of ham, pepperoni, salami, hot peppers, all kept snug with mozzarella cheese with a side of home fries . Yes I know , and Yes it was fantastic ! My wife too was juggling numbers back and forth, and decided to go with number 186, the "Cheesesteak Omelet ". As Rob said as he was writing this down, a Cheesesteak Wit. (Philly Lingo) This was prepped with nice cuts of sliced steak inside with fried onions with her choice of cheese in American with a short stack of French toast as her side. She enjoyed hers, but was loving mine more. Great meal to be had here , with a great patient staff to go with. The ambiance is comforting and keeps you looking at the different artifacts, to collectibles they have along the walls and so forth. We'll definitely be back , seeing it is close to the Cherry Hill Mall which makes it even better for you to walk off your meal, that and the wife drops hints. Note: A 4 for 4 person , is someone who shows passion for the teams that represents his/her city. A true follower through thick and thin, almost like a marriage with the good times and bad. LOL Amy's is one of NJ's many diners but to me it stands apart given a few qualities. 1. The menu although has many many items, it is creative, well organized, descriptive and fun. The descriptions of the food items make you want to try different entree each time you visit. 2. The decor is simple yet it has some interesting photos, art and objects all over the place, distinct to NJ, from the inland to the shore. 3. It has great seating with a combo of booths and tables. The waiting area is just outside the hostess area with seating so there is not an overflow inside where peeps are eating. 4. Lastly, the food. I have only had breakfast here and each time it is hands down filling and tasty. The bacon is crisp and they bring it to you minus lots of oil/grease. And the Berry Berry pancakes are light, airy and scrupmtous. There is a one panckae option that is greatly appreciated for those of us with tiny tummies or just want to be conscious of intake. Candian ham is also a winner, with not an overbearing salty taste. Hands down, thus far in my diner experience, Amy's is the best in overall ambiance, food, services and options. Hello, it's breakfast time. Me and the wife went to Amy's omelette in Cherry Hill Nj. It's right off Rt 38. It's our 1st time at this one we usually go to the restaurant in Burlington, NJ. The restaurant has decent space. I'm sure on peak breakfast days (Saturday & Sunday) this place is packed. The Server Charley was friendly and helpful with our ordering. The menu had a HUGE selection of omelettes so you definitely have options. I ordered the Moroccan Omelette it came with Feta cheese tomatoes and kamati olives. Side order of toast and home fries. My wife had Shrimp and Grits with onion red and green peppers and a side of toast. Both oders were full of flavor and the portions were generous. So of course we left with a to go container. I am a pancake snob and these are some amazing pancakes! I always joke that I can tell by just looking at and touching pancakes whether they will be good or not. These look and feel good! Light yellow color and the right "bounce" to them. They taste phenomenal! The blueberry come filled with blueberries as well as a good portion on top. Nice restaurant with indoor outdoor seating.
