2 Eggs
Melissa G.

The Colonial Diner has been here since I can remember, it has recently went over a change in owners and they did some nice renovations, as well as a newer menu! This was always such a great place to grab breakfast or to stop in late for a bite to eat on the weekend! After moving, the Colonial Diner is always such a great place to stop by and grab some delicious breakfast! This visit we ordered the 2 eggs combo with home fries and toast and the bacon, egg and cheese croissant and we substituted fries for home fries. The 2 egg breakfast was perfect! The eggs were cooked exactly how we wanted them! The home fries had a perfect crisp crust and were delicious! The sandwich had a perfect flavor combination of all of the ingredients together. The only thing I would want more of in it was bacon! The fries were really delicious too! Go check out the Diner if you're looking for a delicious breakfast or even lunch and dinner! They have many options!

I absolutely loved this place! Was visiting from California and had heard a load of good stuff about this place. Parking is simple. The inside is so beautiful filled with historic photos. The waitress was such a doll and made our visit special. The food was delicious and the price was great! Definitely visiting this place next time I'm

Vegan French toast

I've been going to the Colonial Diner since the mid-1990s. They had a decline for several years, but I was pleased to see they rebooted, adding in a full vegan menu of diner classics! It's diner so breakfast is king, I go on the weekends to get the vegan breakfast burger, a smashed impossible patty with egg and cheese, a healthy helping of hash browns, and a mimosa to boot. Other favorites include the vegan chicken sandwich and the poutine. On the holidays they have an amazing vegan pot pie, made from scratch that will convince even the most skeptical carnivore. Service has always been good, Nick is our favorite waiter. Classic diner feel with a greater focus on the food.

I just love this diner!! Friendly staff, great food, excellent value. I had my favorite dish, chicken and waffles. The chicken was cooked perfectly, and the waffles were slightly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, just like I like them. Giant portions served hot!!! Thank you for an excellent meal every time!!!

Vegan Chicken Parm

I was so glad to see vegan options at a diner and made sure to stop on a long trip home. I had the chicken parm sandwich, which was huge, so I took half home. The included soup and dessert were a nice extra! Everything was delicious and the staff were very friendly. I'll be sure to come back again. A+

Colonial Diner used to be our spot after clubbing at Ron Jaworski's EAGLE's NEST "back in the day!" I hadn't been here in a good 20 years, but wanted breakfast after hitting the Nissan dealership for service. What an overhaul! It's much bigger and classier looking now - boasting black and white décor throughout. My pumpkin pancakes were moist and absolutely delicious - more pumpkin flavor than most others I've eaten. Nice young male waiter. Friendly hostess.

Cheesesteakless Hoagie and Colonial's Vegan Skillet

We stopped by here on our way up to New England due to their vegan menu. My partner had been here before on a prior trip through NJ and raved about the food. We're vegetarian but having so many vegan options are always a delight. They have a full menu with plenty of options for breakfast, lunch/dinner, sides, and desserts. You can also buy their stuff wholesale. Unless you're looking for a vegan breakfast, I recommend doing their entree special where you get a soup and dessert with your meal. On this trip my partner got the vegan breakfast skillet and I got the cheesesteak hoagie. The portions are HUGE (for both vegan and non-vegan dishes) so come hungry. The skillet has house-smoked seitan to sub in as chorizo; he said it was well-balanced and tasted like eggs! My hoagie was so good and tasted just like the real thing. My one quibble was that the roll was a bit soggy on the bottom but overall it was great. Despite it being a busy Saturday afternoon they seated us quickly. The service was also fantastic. We had Flo, who was so sweet and brought us some vegan ranch to try. She raved about it and said the staff loves it too; we agree, it's better than the real thing.

Great prices. Great salad bar. Didn't care for the cut of steaks- Too tough and we eat it rareread more

I came out to Woodbury to meet a friend for dinner and he suggested going to Charlie Brown's. All I…read moreknew from him was that it was a steakhouse, which I'm always up for. After my experience tonight, I will most certainly be back! The first thing that struck me about the place was that it was decidedly dated, and I mean that in a nostalgic way. The Charlie Brown's building clearly has a history, and one could easily imagine what this place was like as a one family home. Pretty cool! Tin backsplashes come to mind as a dominant feature of the indoor decor. They dotted the huge, multi-roomed interior, giving the place a classic, yet elegant feel, like being in grandma's kitchen. The space was great, and I especially loved the dining room in the the library, adorned with grand bookcases full of the classics! The menu was what I would expect a reasonably priced steakhouse would be. There were plenty of choices in steaks, and other dishes, and their prices were good. I ordered the sirloin, with mashed potatoes and the salad bar....and I thoroughly enjoyed it all! The service at Charlie Brown's was great, as well, and everyone we came into contact with served us with a smile. I have no photos...but I'll be back! Charlie Brown's is a great restaurant, with good steaks, in a cool atmosphere and with nice service. What's not to like?

While still offering a full bar with high tops to sit at, TV's along the walls and a solid beat of very listenable music ... we had chosen the Corner to eat at and the one pager didn't offer what their website and prior menu photographers had implied. We walked in on a Sunday evening ... the darkness had enveloped the daylight but we were hungering for some of the menu items but upon opening the doors we discovered an emptiness applicably haunting on a dark dark night. But, then the barkeep welcomed us with this awesome smile and greeting! She pointed out that patience would be a virtue since she was working the bar and the dining tables, which we noticed did have some semblance of life present around them. We ordered our bar beverages and pursued the menu plus the "specials," which were limited. When the adult beverages were transported back we had questions about the chili and the crab chowder. We said we were testing her honesty as to how good they were. She described the chili but said she was allergic to shell fish so she couldn't say how the chowder was but she asked .... 'Would you like a sample of both so you can decide?" A SAMPLE we thought ... well yes, that is an exceedingly pro-customer option BRING ON THE SAMPLES ... So she strolls back with soup spoons and samples. And, we were thrilled .... The chili was not "spicy hot" but it was oh so flavorful and the Maryland Crab Chowder was thickened with stuff because after all it was a chowder with a little edgy kick but oh so so good! Decisions made ... Definitely the chili and a chicken quesadilla but the Chowder was turned down because it would be "too much" along with the desired fish taco's. And, what perfect decisions ... delicious food and the chili even got better topped with cheese and jalapeño! The price was right too. As we sipped the last few drips of the adult beverages while eyeing some of their happy hour specials we wondered why the menu was shrunk because we were very very happy ... And, after walking up to the bar to get the bill (We told her she was working her butt off handling the bar and tables that the least we could do was walk to her when we needed something.) and paying ... it was back into the dark of the night ... so dark and so satisfied with food and perhaps that second adult beverage my passenger went to the side door of a car that wasn't mine ... It was the right choice ... not the car but the Corner ... a good ending with plans for a return for one of those discounted happy night meals.

The vibe is just your normal convenient store in south Jersey. They sell chips, candies, some household essentials, and they have a good selection of bagels to choose from! We tried the rainbow bagel, the fruity pebbles, the jalapeño, the plain, the everything, and the sesame. The bagels were vey fresh! You already know being on the east coast there is a specific standard that we hold our bagels to and this was met! All of the bagels tasted so delicious. The only ones I would probably skip out on and try something else out would be the rainbow and the fruity pebbles. They lacked flavor but they still were good. If you're ever in need of a bagel fix, stop by so you can grab some bagels to take home and share! They lasted overnight very well so you could easily grab some for the next few days!
