A substantial diner offering generous portions. Opted for the meatloaf, which came in three sizable pieces--quite satisfying. The meals also include a complimentary salad. The service was top-notch, and the diner has a warm and cozy ambiance.

Enjoyed our Saturday brunch stop here on the way home from Philadelphia. Full disclosure, this was a very nostalgic meal for me. I grew up right down the road from here, so more nights than I can count were spent in the vinyl booths of Club and Phily Diners. The entire family went for breakfast items, always a good bet at any diner. All of us were happy with our choices, an omelette for me, creamed chip beef for the wife, a Belgain waffle for the older boy and pumpkin pancakes and bacon for the youngest. Service was fast and friendly, the place was clean and the coffee flowed freely. Prices were higher than I expected, but where isn't that true any more? Club Diner is still a classic NJ diner, and outside of some new faux-chrome and "updated" prices, it's everything I remembered. Thanks for the memories!

I've been a customer of the Club Diner for a long time & have yet to be disappointed. It's a quaint, cozy lil diner & delivery (DoorDash) always arrives in perfect condition. Large portions & great service!! Highly recommend

A classic New Jersey diner that's right between the turnpike and 295. All day breakfast and very friendly service.

It's probably been about 20 years since I'd been here before today! Location is the only reason. Super good and fluffy fresh blueberry pancakes, and my usual one side scrambled egg. Joey was only luke-warm on his pork roll and cheese sandwich.

This is such a lovely restaurant. My waiter, a young lady, was just the sweetest. It felt like everyone in the restaurant knew each other which I loved. The food was good of course.

Mm, just what I was looking for for a nice Wednesday brunch. This is a great all-American diner! Lots of options including specialty pancakes (like chocolate strawberry!) Between the two of us we had coffee, juice, pancakes, French toast, eggs, various breakfast meats and hash browns. Everything was superb, and the hash browns in particular were thick-cut and delicious! *My only issue was the French toast I got was undercooked. To be fair I could have asked for it to be remade and wouldn't have felt weird about it at all. But just a note. Relaxed atmosphere. Friend and I played MASH on the paper table mats during the short wait for our yummies. Would visit again.

I like having a little bit of everything for breakfast. Traditional eggs, a breakfast meat, hash browns and something sweet like pancakes or French toast. I hate when we have to pay for a whole plate of something sweet & syrupy. I still do it - but I don't wanna. Hash browns were perfect traditional diner scalloped crispy potatoes. Service was awesome. Priced well with tons of options for all customers.

A fantastic little diner that's got all the comfort food trappings a diner should have. My family and I came around lunch time en route to NYC, pretty hungry. Service was good and fast. Our server was an older gentleman who gave us a little background on how long this diner/establishment had been open and a bit of background about well known guests of the diner (apparently Rhonda Roussey had been there the week before). We ordered mostly from the lunch specials. I got the chopped beef steak with mushrooms and mashed potatoes. It also came with a choice of soup or salad and I got the clam chowder. There was also a dessert included and I went with chocolate pudding. My soup was very filling and delicious, so much so I had to pack up half my lunch entree to go. The chopped beef steak was pretty tasty too. This place seems like the kind of place that attracts both locals and travelers passing by. If ever in the area I definitely recommend this diner for lunch.

Agree with others. Food was great, service friendly and attentive, and walking distance to a fast charging station.

No. It is simply a reliable hearth for hungry souls who adore breakfast food, lunch food, and dinner food in equal measure. And it is my dear mother's favorite diner in the area, which feels like a credential earned through decades of careful eating and limited dietary options thanks to a gallbladder that decided it had seen enough of this world. Service here approaches that shining ideal of Americana. The wait staff seem genuinely invested in your continued existence, keeping coffee cups filled and orders moving with calm efficiency. You are not rushed, forgotten, or treated like an inconvenience. You are treated like someone who came in hungry and intends to leave better than you arrived. The food is dependable in the most comforting sense of the word. The menu is typically Jersey diner broad and familiar, offering breakfast all day, sturdy sandwiches, omelets that know what they are doing, and classic diner dinners that arrive hot and generous. I've had the meatloaf with mushroom gravy, the French onion soup, the prime rib, and the French toast. Nothing is fancy or experimental. Nothing is trying to impress you. It simply aims to be good, and usually succeeds. The dining room itself is clean and comfortable, with the reassuring atmosphere of a place that has seen many regulars come and go and remembers them kindly. Families, couples, and solo diners all seem equally at home. You can order chicken croquettes or a country omelette and know exactly what you are going to get, which is a small but meaningful luxury in a world that so often overpromises and underdelivers. So I give the Black Horse Diner four stars. Not because it is extraordinary, but because it is steady, sincere, and reliably satisfying. Sometimes a solid meal served by capable people in a place that knows itself is more than enough.

Strong start. I ordered one of the mini meals. I really loved the cream of mushroom soup of the day. Deep flavor and a nice complement of mushrooms, better than usual. The initial appetizers with the mini meals came out right away. I would say an average wait time for dinner. And the food? My chicken croquette tasted almost like lobster. Plenty of sauce to dip the beans. I tried my friend's fries and those are also outstanding. Excellent meal through and through. And mini meals include a dessert! Homemade pudding - tapioca is delicious. Highly recommend. I'm not a diner guru, but this hit every angle I'd want. Come check it out!

Inside, the food was fresh, plentiful, and delicious. We chose side salads instead of fries and they were a great size to start the meal. I had the open‑face Turkey Reuben and the portion was definitely shareable and very good. My husband had the fish and chips and the cod was fried perfectly, 4 nice fillets, crisp outside and tender inside. He swapped the fries for a baked potato and it tasted like it came straight from the oven, hot and fluffy. They offered a long list of specials for 16.99 that included beverage, soup, salad, an entrée and dessert. The cakes and pies looked fabulous and many were ordering dessert. We were too full this time, but next visit we'll save room. Our waitress, Lala, was wonderfu, attentive, friendly and always checking in at the right moments. The manager greeted us warmly when we arrived and again when we left, which added to the friendly atmosphere. Plenty of parking and easy to get in and out. We would definitely recommend this diner and would happily return.

Soup came with - my cup of Chicken Pastina was very good and tasty. The salad was pretty good but the steak needed more flavor. The 1000 Island didn't taste homemade like at most other places I dine. They had a decent crowd for a Wednesday night. Their dessert case looked amazing and I heard two tables ordering cake and Oreo cheesecake!!! I hit the bathroom before heading out. Nice decor but dirty and a fly was hovering around. Sweet server named Emma was probably the highlight . One and done for me - sorry.

I had the Power Breakfast, and my wife enjoyed the California Omelette. Both meals were fresh, flavorful, generously portioned, and beautifully prepared. We would absolutely order them again. Our server, Benjamin, deserves special recognition. He was friendly, attentive, checked on us at just the right times, and never made us feel rushed. His service was outstanding and added to an otherwise wonderful dining experience. The only disappointment was the beverage pricing. I'll admit that we typically don't study the menu prices before ordering--that was probably our mistake. After eating in restaurants for more than 70 years, however, I can honestly say these beverage prices are among the most outrageous I've encountered. We were charged $3.99 for a single cup of black coffee and $5.99 for one glass of lemonade--nearly $10 for two beverages. The coffee was simply one ordinary cup of black coffee, and the lemonade was so incredibly sweet that it was almost undrinkable. Neither beverage came close to justifying its price. It's unfortunate because everything else was excellent. The quality of the food, the atmosphere, and Benjamin's exceptional service make Silver Diner a place we would gladly visit again. However, management should seriously reconsider charging nearly $10 for one standard cup of coffee and one mediocre glass of lemonade. Prices like that leave customers feeling taken advantage of and detract from what is otherwise a terrific dining experience. We'll definitely be back--but next time we'll probably skip the beverages unless the pricing becomes more reasonable.
