This place has the best Tom Yum soup. Have I had any entrees? Yes! But the soup really hit the spot with a perfect portion, heat, and taste.

I've avoided Thai carryout for quite sometime because they all tend to taste the same. However Amy's food is quite the opposite - the taste is fresh and delicious, not like all others. The freshness of the ingredients comes through in all the dishes. You can tell the meats, vegetables and sauces were not frozen, microwaved or old. Ordered Pad Thai, Pad KraTiem and Potato Chicken Massaman Curry- very tasty and good portions. My favorite was the Potato Massaman Curry with chicken as I liked the hint of peanut flavor in the dish. Pad Thai was very good as well. Again their uniqueThai flavors makes their food especially good. Spring rolls along with the dipping sauce also very flavorful. Limited seating inside with attentive service. We observed this restaurant gets a steady flow of carryout orders and repeat customers. Amy's has restored my faith in Thai carryout-we will be back.

I've been jonesing for some good Pad Thai, and I haven't been able to find one I crave since my old tried & true closed about 10 yrs ago. Believe me, I've been searching. Amy's had that Pad Thai for me, and hubby absolutely loved his Special Eggplant dish - another dish we used to get at our old spot. Their prices are on par with all other Thai places. I can't wait to try more dishes from there!

I called them around 7pm, three different times and no one answered the phone so that I couldn't make a carry out order.

From recommendations to secret sauces or methods for eating dishes how they would in Thailand, Sue is there guide and assist. I look forward to seeing her as much as I do the food. Our food is always excellent and I like to try new things all the time. But we still have favorites. Appetizers. It's hard not to order the fried wontons, my spouse's favorite. We both enjoy the apple or papaya salad. And I'm a sucker for tum yum soup, theirs does not disappoint. Entrees we often enjoy traditionals like Pad See Ewe and Fried Rice. They are staples for a reason. But I've enjoyed trying many of Sue's recommendations. And I love a ground chicken dish she recommended served with lettuce cups and a fried egg. I wish I remembered the name. But it's one of her favorites. She will know! Be sure to ask for the Thai pickled lime and hot peppers condiment (upon request). My newest obsession is their Chicken Satay salad. It's fantastic. So fresh and delicious, not to mention gorgeous. I can't imagine anyone being disappointed. I can't tell you about dessert because we are always too full. But I'm determined to try her mango rice because I'm confident it will be amazing . If you have tried this place, it's worth a visit. You will want to go back again and again.

Only complaint is the Singapore noodles, it turned out to be a big clump of noodles on a plate. Probably going to skip the stir fried noodles next time.

We started with Old Fashioneds, which were very good, although it did take a while for our drinks to arrive. Our server was friendly and attentive, but they were clearly very busy, and there was a wait by the time we were leaving. For appetizers, we ordered both the Devil Goons--seafood rangoons made with Sriracha and ghost chili peppers--and the regular rangoons. The Devil Goons were excellent; I had never had spicy rangoons before, and it was a great twist. The regular rangoons, however, were just okay in comparison. I ordered the red curry and thought it was just alright. I asked for medium spice, which was tolerable, but it lacked the rich coconut milk and curry flavors I'm used to from other places. My friends ordered fried rice, and their portions were noticeably larger than mine. For a similar price point, the portion sizes felt inconsistent. That said, they really enjoyed the fried rice. Overall, it's a cool spot to check out and clearly very popular. If I return, I'd skip the red curry. I'd also recommend making a reservation if you're planning ahead.

The vegetables in both entrées tasted almost raw. The onions were still green and crunchy in a way that didn't seem intentional. The Pineapple Fried Rice was noticeably bland, especially compared to other Thai restaurants nearby, yet the prices were $3+ higher. Service didn't help the experience either. With only one other couple in the restaurant, it was surprising that our dishes came out in stages: first the rice, then the Honey Sriracha Chicken a few minutes later, and finally the Pineapple Fried Rice. It felt disorganized for a two-person table. The rice itself was clumpy, dry, and overcooked. It mushed together when scooped. The only beacon of light in this depressing meal was the Crab Rangoon, which actually tasted good, though they were still dripping oil as if they hadn't been drained properly after frying. To their credit, the interior was nicely decorated, clean, and the bathrooms were well stocked and well maintained. The final shock came at the register: the preset tipping options were 18%, 20%, and 30%. The buttons were so large and aggressive that I honestly felt that my brain short circuited at the sight. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place unless I hated the person. There are much better Thai options in the area for both quality and price point, like Bangkok Cuisine or Som Jai Thai Cuisine.

So, when I was scrolling through DoorDash, I thought, "Why not give Thai Tanic a try?" And let me tell you--I do not regret it! The food instantly reminded me of that cozy Thai spot on East 26th Street in New York. Thai Tanic is now officially my go-to Thai restaurant. I ordered takeout, but I couldn't help but notice how cute the restaurant's interior was, with its tropical greenery decor. The staff was also incredibly friendly. I placed my order ahead of time, and the estimated wait was spot-on--no extra delays. I love a good Tom Yum soup, and this one did not disappoint. It had the perfect balance of acidity, wasn't overly spicy, and featured fresh vegetables. For dinner, I went with the Combination Meal (available only online) with Pork Fried Rice. The sides included Garlic Delight Tofu and Masaman Potato Curry with Mixed Veggies. Each dish was packed with flavor! The Fried Rice wasn't greasy or overly buttery--just rich in taste. The Masaman Potato Curry was my absolute favorite; the coconut milk and curry consistency were spot-on, with no single ingredient overpowering the others. I'll definitely be ordering from Thai Tanic again and highly recommend it to anyone in the area. You won't regret it! Next time, I'm getting the Masaman Potato Curry with a side of white rice--no question about it!
