Unfortunately, the food here was disappointing. The Honey Sriracha Chicken tasted like frozen orange chicken, the breading was soft and separated from the meat, and the sauce reminded me of a prepackaged mix that was both under-seasoned and flat. The vegetables in both entrées tasted almost raw. The onions were still green and crunchy in a way that didn't seem intentional. The Pineapple Fried Rice was noticeably bland, especially compared to other Thai restaurants nearby, yet the prices were $3+ higher. Service didn't help the experience either. With only one other couple in the restaurant, it was surprising that our dishes came out in stages: first the rice, then the Honey Sriracha Chicken a few minutes later, and finally the Pineapple Fried Rice. It felt disorganized for a two-person table. The rice itself was clumpy, dry, and overcooked. It mushed together when scooped. The only beacon of light in this depressing meal was the Crab Rangoon, which actually tasted good, though they were still dripping oil as if they hadn't been drained properly after frying. To their credit, the interior was nicely decorated, clean, and the bathrooms were well stocked and well maintained. The final shock came at the register: the preset tipping options were 18%, 20%, and 30%. The buttons were so large and aggressive that I honestly felt that my brain short circuited at the sight. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place unless I hated the person. There are much better Thai options in the area for both quality and price point, like Bangkok Cuisine or Som Jai Thai Cuisine. read more

The curry fried rice was bumping with curry that we individually mixed in a little white rice. The sweet chili shrimp was good. The first spoon full of Tom Yum soup was an eye opener then the second was confirmation that it was far from yum so there it sits. The portions are something to smile about. Have been to this restaurant numerous times. Normally either get Pad See Ew or drunken Noodles and it has always been very good, it can be hard to find a restaurant with good Thai food. But you can't go wrong with this place if you want good tasty this food. The service is great the employees always are very polite and professional. The restaurant itself is very nice. Plenty of room if you have a bigger group of people. The price is also very good for the quality of food and service you get. Well, even though they got rid of $6 Pad Thai Monday's (thanks inflation), I still order from here every Friday. Their Basil Fried Rice & Pad Se Ew are 2 of our favorites, packed full of flavor! The only real negative about this place (and why they don't get 5 stars from me) is that they'll randomly be closed and won't put a note on the door, a message on their voicemail, or update their social media pages to inform their customers that they are closed when they're usually open. We have gone there 3 times in the past 4 months to a closed facility. It makes us sad & irritated. read more

There's even a chandelier in the center of the restaurant. Their crab Rangoon looks good, started off with that. Pad Thai (recommend by some of my Yelp friends) with chicken and steamed tofu and a Pad pak with scallops and steamed tofu. The crab Rangoon is quite sizable here. I bigger than most have ever seen. They have a lot of cream cheese in them, not a lot of crab or any, some scallions, mostly cream cheese, still tasty. Definitely made in house. Super crispy and nice crunch to the wonton. They have the traditional aluminum ornate containers for their rice. The first Thai restaurant I ever went to as an adult, that aluminum is what I remember clearly. The pad Thai is flavorful, noodles are nice and chewy. Sauce is quite saucy, but good, My pad pak was good, the sauce is slightly sweet, very watery. Only 4 pieces is medium sized scallops. I love Pad Thai. People whose opinions I trust have gotten the Pad Thai here, and told me how great it was. But, I'm the sort of person, when I'm touring an exotic locale, who wants to check out the parts that are not on the main trail. My wife makes fun of me when I do this, because sometimes I regret my decision. But, sometimes, I find something amazing that I wouldn't have found otherwise. I ordered the Pad Bai Gra Pow, a stir-fry dish that features Thai basil leaves prominently. What you get is a colossal amount of chicken, green peppers, and Thai basil leaves. It's a simple dish that they executed well, although the chicken was a bit on the dry side. But, happily, they did give a respectable amount of basil. It seemed milder at first than the medium+ spiciness I wanted, but the sauce is where the heat was hiding. And, it's a warming heat, not an angry heat. I also got Tom Yam soup instead of the hot and sour soup I normally get. When I arrived to pick up the soup, I asked about adding fried wontons. They brought out a large container of wontons, equal in size to the container of the soup came in. I was ready to pay for it, but they gave it to me free of charge. I was excited at all the options available for both the main dish and the soup. There are several different meat options, plus tofu if you prefer, and there is only a minimal up charge for most of them. But, the menu refers to crab meat, which I got in the soup. Instead, it's imitation crab meat. That was disappointing, but the flavor of the soup was excellent. This is a type of soup that includes ingredients that most people have never heard of, such as galangal root. If you've had this kind of soup before, you'll know that this is an important part of it. And, they really nailed it. They have an agreement with GrubHub that lets you order everything online, which is really a nice touch. I really love the heart that went into the food that I got. Everything wasn't perfect, but the flavors were the type you can't bring together unless you really know what you're doing in the kitchen. I was sad to see that the place was deserted when I went to pick up my food. I hope enough people find out about this place so they can keep the doors open. These folks are killing it every Monday and Tuesday with their daily Pad Thai Special. No shit. Bangkok Station gives you a full plate of tasty Pad Thai noodles along with a complimentary bowl of Hot and Sour Soup (at lunchtime) for just $6. As you can read in their reviews, my friends and fellow Pad Thai enthusiasts Aron B. and Aleana W. agree that these delicious plates are a pretty good rendition. They serve up a pretty good sized portion of Thailand's national dish and they don't skimp on the protein either. My only gripe are that it's a bit on the sweet side and it's a little saucy but the easy solution for us was that handy bottle of Sriracha. We just added a few drops and that overly sweet taste disappeared like magic. Their Hot and Sour Soup is also a little bland but again, a half dozen drops spiced it up just right. You also need to get an order of their Thai Crispy Rolls. It's a texture thing here. Try an order of 3 for just $3.50 and you'll see what I mean. Bangkok Station is clean, bright and airy and that makes for a very pleasant place to enjoy a delicious and cheap, sit down lunch. Having been cooped up again thanks to the latest Covid variant, my husband and I had to get out of the house. Hankering for Thai food, we decided to give this place a shot when they said they were open for dine in. The place was empty, which worried me on a Friday night. But these are weird times so we went for it. I'm glad we did. We started with the spring rolls which were nice and crisp. The clear sauce was light and the perfect compliment. Next, we had chicken satay. It's one of our favorite Thai appetizers and it didn't disappoint. The peanut sauce was flavorful and abundant. (We asked for an extra sauce, but didn't actually need the extra, so i saved it and added it on our main dish. For our third and final course, we opted for Pad Thai with chicken. I liked the way the peanut sauce complimented the flavors, but my husband enjoyed his the way it came. We ordered it mild and it still had a bit of a kick. The hot and sour soup was awesome too. They have the best hot & sour soup around, and I was seriously worried about hot soup on such a hot day, but it was perfect because the soup was so good. For my entree I ordered the lunch size basil fried rice because so many people told me to try it. The lunch portion was huge, and I only ate half of it. The seasoning was great, I might have enjoyed a little more basil, but I am crazy about basil. I've been looking for a Thai restaurant that i could be a regular at and I think I've finally found one. I've been here a few times now and overall have been happy with the quality of food, taste, as well as service. The restaurant is minimally decorated but very clean and tidy. I ordered take out a few days ago and one of my orders were wrong. I called the restaurant and the staff were more than happy to accommodate and help resolve the issue for me. I've been here every Monday/Tuesday for the past 3 weeks so I guess it's time I write my review. It's good. Like really good!! I do the chicken pad Thai for $6. You can not beat it. Like at all! :) I promise it's not a waste of money. Here's the thing that gets me, the past 3 weeks, my plate is plated differently.. 1st week was good, not fancy but last week.. I got shredded carrots and cabbage. This week I got a fancy green onion. Bizarre. I say bizarre because it's not like you can eat it like a carrot, I mean I guess you could but. I just wouldn't. I get my pad Thai NO SPICE. That said once the lemon is squeezed on top it's almost too sweet. I commented tonight that it's almost like a dessert. Maybe. Second: the only place I bring it down a star? My crab Rangoon. I love Rangoon. The first time they were perfect. Crispy but not hard. Last week the tops were so hard to chew I almost felt like I could break a tooth. Of course that didn't stop me but then I asked this week that they come out not so crispy! That didn't work. They were still hard. I was sad. I think it may be hit and miss. The service is always great. We have had this younger guy that busts his butt doing carry out and taking care of us customers inside. He is really nice, polite, and attentive. Tonight though our server the young man was asked by another patron about something personal and I was kind of taken aback that people can be so brazen and then scold him based on an honest response. Come on people, let's work together and just be kind. Why judge, you could tell the young man was a bit uncomfortable and didn't know how to walk away from said conversation. Can we just be polite. Decided to go with Thai for dinner one night and wanted to try someplace new. Bangkok station is a quick drive from my house so I ordered online through Grubhub, which was a fairly easy process. Decided based off reviews to order the vegetable curry and added chicken and went for mild plus spice. Also ordered a small Tom Yum soup. The soup was really flavorful and a bit spicy, but I really liked it. The vegetable curry had a good amount of sauce and veggies/chicken. The spice level was just right for me. It was a good portion of food, and it came with a side of white rice. The price point was average for Thai food, but on Monday/Tuesday they offer $6.99 Pad Thai. I saw this place come highly recommended on a Facebook group. It turns out that they're doing buffet style iftaar for the month of Ramadan so my husband, some friends, and I decided to check it out. All of their food is Halal and it is an incredibly well priced buffet for the value that you get. They take reservations so there's no chaos. We had a booth for the four of us and the staff were incredibly nice and hospitable. They already had silverware, dates, and water laid out for us at the table. The space itself is nice and well-kept. The buffet menu was vast - they had different types of curries, pineapple fried rice and another type of fried rice, amazing chicken dishes, noodles of a few different types (pad Thai, pad see ew, pad kee mao), and much more. They also had a nice set up with fresh fruit. They had options for children like chicken nuggets and fries. Overall, I would say this is probably one of the best and most organized Iftar buffets I've been to and the food tasted great! Would highly recommend. read more

Hands down this is the best Thai food restaurant in the Metro Detroit area! My husband and I love authentic Thai food and this place sure knows how to prepare deliciously phenomenal food! When we tried their food for the first time, in 2019, I remember that month we went 3-4 times week, lol. We met the owners, after talking with them we learned that all their food is freshly made from a scratch! Nothing is pre-made for days ahead like your chain restaurants are doing. Also, I was happy to learn they don't use any products that contains MSG, which is widely used by the food industry as preservative which is toxic to our health. The service is always nice, friendly, and welcoming! Visa is very patient and will help you to choose the dish that you will like! She will recommend to make substitutions if needed or wanted, just to make sure you'll be satisfied with their food. Zach and Visa take a pride of the food they cook and put their heart in to it. You can tell their food is cooked with love. To name my favorite dish?! It used to be the drunken noodles and tom yum soup, but at this restaurant I am constantly cheating on my favorite dish, I'm trying new dishes all the time and I haven't had anything there that I didn't like! Well, I can tell you this without a moment's hesitation: for $6, you will not walk away feeling taken, not even a little. On Mondays and Tuesdays, this place offers their Pad Thai for a mere $6, and while it's not going to be at the top of anyone's list for best Pad Thai ever, it is certainly a decent example of the dish. You won't be unhappy you ordered it, or at least I wasn't. I do wish that it hadn't been swimming in sauce as it was, but even so: it was hot, with good flavor, the noodles had good texture, and I ate every little bit of it I was given. BUT THAT'S NOT ALL!!!!!! You'd think that for $6, they'd give you Pad Thai, and that's it, and perhaps even then you might have to toss in another buck for a protein. Not at all: for $6, chicken is included, and it's nice-looking chicken, too. I've seen chicken at some places that makes you worry a bit, and this chicken looks (and tastes) plenty good. There's also enough of it to make you appreciate that you're being given a good value for your $6. BUT THAT'S NOT ALL!!!!!! Before you ever even get your Pad Thai for $6, included with it is a nice cup of Hot and Sour soup that, once you add in a little bit of Sriracha sauce, holds its own. I wish that it had been a bit hotter, temperature-wise, but the soup itself was a nice, unexpected touch that we were surprised came with the entree for that price. I mean, really: that's a basement bargain for certain. I know you're getting tired of the BTNA interjections above, so I'll stop them here. The facility itself is surprisingly nice, with bright, white colors, some pretty colored wallpaper on one side of the restaurant, and little aesthetic touches that tell you they're really trying to make a strip mall Thai place into a welcoming place to sit down and have a meal. It's *clean* in there...and it's cozy. More so than many I've been to, which can get a bit more into the run-down territory. Not so, here. Even the bathroom was very clean. It's a nice place to dine. Our server did just fine, too. Got our orders correct, was able to try to provide a Wi-Fi password, refilled beverages, etc. We tipped her well, and she deserved it, especially since she was the go-to person for the entire place, it seemed. She worked well under pressure. Look, again, it may not be a life-changing Pad Thai for you, but it's just fine, and it's SIX BUCKS on Mondays and Tuesdays...with a cup of freaking soup to start out with! And that's good, too! They're trying to generate a following here by giving a more-than-healthy discount on the most popular, prolific Thai dish you'll find, and their version is nothing to turn your nose up at. I completely finished mine. Certainly worth another visit from me, and a first visit from everybody else. If you're value-conscious, this place is throwing down the gauntlet. I'm very particular about Thai food as I am used to real Thai flavor that a friend of the family would make for us and this was one of those places that has that good real Thai taste. The papaya salad was so good with just the right amount of spice and peanuts. The Tom yum soup had all the flavors I like and again just the right amount of spice so you can still taste the soup and not just the heat. I ordered Gang Dang Curry with scallops and it was the best one I've had. The red curry flavor is perfect with coconut milk. We also ordered vegetable curry with beef which was real good too.
