My wife and I visited Khom Fai on a Friday around 5:30. The place was decently busy but we got a nice high top and ordered some happy hour appetizers. Before I get into the food, I really want to call out our server, Amanda C. We had never been there before and she was incredibly attentive to us, explained everything that they offered, gave us a lowdown on the spice they used and how it ranks compared to other foods ("This one is about the heat level of Buffalo Wings") which was great. My wife likes her food spicier than me so she asked if she could have some extra spice on the side and she brought out 3 different kinds of spices for her to experiment with, which was above and beyond. When it was time for us to leave, she brought out extra sauces for some of the appetizers we didn't finish so we could enjoy them at home, and even gave us little plastic containers if we wanted to take the extra spices home separately. Truly great and I hope the next time we come here, she'll be able to serve us. Now on to the food! Dynamite shrimp was very tasty but could have been a little spicier in my opinion. The breading and crunch was very good, just not as spicy as I usually feel like it's served. Brussels Sprouts were delicious and my wife and I cleaned the plate. Will definitely be ordering that again. The Yellowfin was good and maybe would've stood out more if the other items weren't better in my opinion but still tasty. Chicken Satay was very tender and flavorful and the peanut sauce was delicious. My favorite item was the House Speciality Fried Rice. We got it with tofu and vegetables. The fried egg on top was great and I literally don't think I've had better fried rice in my life. I truly don't want to eat any other fried rice but this one, which is a bummer because it's a 15 minute drive and not on the corner next to my house. We also had the Thai Iced Tea. I generally love this drink and it was good, but not the best. The crushed ice on top was quite excessive and I wound up scooping most of it out cause it wouldn't watered down my drink before I even got to it. I'd say bigger chunks of ice in that drink or maybe you can order it with light ice. Total was around $85 which is a pretty reasonably priced meal for 2, but Happy Hour prices attributed to that. We also made sure to give Amanda a nice tip for her excellent service. Will definitely be back! read more

Khom Fai doesn't look like much on the outside but it is not your average strip mall restaurant. The interior is more elevated, classy and cool, a great place for a date night or celebration. The food and service were spot on. The drunken noodles were very good, but compared to the Red Curry, we didn't think it was anything special. The Red Curry stole the show. Got it with mild (default) spice. It is incredibly flavorful. It is creamy, aromatic, savory with a hint of sweetness and spice! Each spoonful makes you wanting more! Met some friends here during the holiday break. The interior is nicely decorated and the menu seems to combine American-style options with a more traditional Thai experience. We started with Old Fashioneds, which were very good, although it did take a while for our drinks to arrive. Our server was friendly and attentive, but they were clearly very busy, and there was a wait by the time we were leaving. For appetizers, we ordered both the Devil Goons--seafood rangoons made with Sriracha and ghost chili peppers--and the regular rangoons. The Devil Goons were excellent; I had never had spicy rangoons before, and it was a great twist. The regular rangoons, however, were just okay in comparison. I ordered the red curry and thought it was just alright. I asked for medium spice, which was tolerable, but it lacked the rich coconut milk and curry flavors I'm used to from other places. My friends ordered fried rice, and their portions were noticeably larger than mine. For a similar price point, the portion sizes felt inconsistent. That said, they really enjoyed the fried rice. Overall, it's a cool spot to check out and clearly very popular. If I return, I'd skip the red curry. I'd also recommend making a reservation if you're planning ahead. read more

This place was surprisingly great! It's a bit hidden in a strip mall but definitely worth stopping by. They have a very nice bar and overall atmosphere. Their cocktails and wine list were also impressive. We highly recommend the appetizer sampler because everything we had on that plate was fantastic. I got the orange chicken and they were able to put the sauce on the side for me (bc I can be picky). They gave me so much chicken that it gave me 2.5 meals! This was a disappointing experience. I greatly enjoyed the food and service during my previous visit so I decided to try their express lunch which is only available on Tuesdays 11am-2pm. I was excited to try their express lunch however the food was very salty. All I tasted was soy sauce. The chicken was stringy, dry, and way overcooked swimming in salty, soy based sauce. The Pad Thai was also salty, no other flavor with mound of chopped peanuts. Not sure if they had a different chef or perhaps it was lunch so they didn't care about taste and quality of food. It was a far cry from my previous experience here. Staff were nice and prompt, also nice ambiance however quality of food was definitely poor and lacking.. Not sure if I would come back here. Khom fai is a MUST TRY! There are so many different options of food and also many spice levels. The spice levels from least spicy to most spicy goes from no spice medium spicy Ty medium and Ty hot. The service is GREAT and is SUPER nice. My favorite staff member is Mrs Alexis. She is super nice and me and my 7 year old brother Noah love her. The vibe is also great. They always decorate for the season and the place is also very calm and you should make a reservation because they always have people there. That's how good it is. Been here many times! Love this little local place : ) we usually make reservations as at dinner time, it gets very busy and it's a smaller place. Food has all always been delicious and they have a great drink selection. If you're a whisky person, they even have Makers Mark and Basil Hayden flights, which is unique! We always order the spring rolls for an appetizer and I could eat a plate for my meal they are so good ! Staff is always great and owner will sometimes walk the room and chat. Service was great. I did takeout but liked the interior of the restaurant. I ordered fried tofu which was really tasty, I liked the sauce it came with. I also ordered broccoli noodles with tofu. The flavor was great, but the noodles were awful. They were rubbery and it's obvious they were not made fresh as was expected with Thai food (I'm from the west coast where Thai food is everywhere). I saw this restaurant on social media and from the looks it seemed like a must try. My dining companion and I made reservations and dined here on a Saturday evening. The service was friendly and relatively fast. The ambiance certainly was different than how it was represented in all of the photos. It is in a strip mall and lacks the full sophistication of the stand alone restaurant. The noise was incredibly loud with the open ceilings. The service was friendly and pretty quick and the food seemed fresh. We had the salmon dish (can't recall the name) and the vegan lettuce wraps. The presentation of the lettuce wraps was underwhelming but the taste was amazing. Overall good restaurant. But certainly not worth the drive if it's more than 25 minutes from you, I would believe you could find just as good closer to where you are located. read more

The spring roll was excellent and even stayed crisp after the 30 minute drive home after picking up take out. The vegan pad Thai was fine but it left a bit to be desired, especially for the price. I found I didn't go back for my leftovers, which is unusual for me. Since I did take out, I can't speak to the service but it was easy to order online and the host that handed over my order was friendly. Inside is small but seems like an elevate Thai restaurant dining experience with mood lighting and higher end finishes. While I wouldn't go out of my way to try more vegan menu options here, it's not a bad option if you're in the area. I wouldn't choose this place over my local Thai restaurant though because the taste and quality is comparable. read more

We stared with craft cocktails to get our party started! I ordered the Material Girl and my friend ordered a Tropical Drink which was served in a flaming tiki glass! These drinks were BEYOND amazing. There were so many delicious options on the menu, I wanted everything. We tried the sampler with spring rolls, seafood rangoons, and chicken satay skewers, Lemon grass soup, Red Curry Noodles with Shrimp, Crispy sesame chicken with fried rice. OMG...we were so full and happy! We split everything and the portions were quite large. To end our evening, we were given a completely Fried Ice-cream to enjoy.
