Ommmggg so I came to his mindfreak show for my birthday (been a fan since I was literally 6 years old & im 23 now) & then after headed to his NEW show after and it was SOO damn fun and interactive!!! First, I was a little surprised that Criss Angel himself was not part of this performance. Each one of the performers individually were fantastic; I especially enjoyed the Escape Artist. Bravo! The host, Hammer, was great. He was certainly a highlight of the performance. The storyline is mediocre, the use of the large fans to create storms was a bit cheesy, and the dancing scarf a bit overdone; however, overall the visuals are enjoyable and the skill of the individual performers was fantastic. read more

Just saw Amystika and absolutely was blown away!!!Literally! From being immersed in an actual windstorm to the incredible illusions, Amystika took us on a haunting ride through the life journey of Criss Angel. It was the magic of Criss Angel blended with the brilliance of Franco Dragone. Infused with talented performers, we laughed at the comedy of Mike Hammer, were mesmerized by the card manipulator, Stefan, and held our breath watching an Houdini act that had us on the edge of our seats. !!Trigger/Content Warning for the Show!! - blood and gore (not too much though) - nightmare creatures - contortion and body breaking - loud noise - strobe lights Had a great story and amazing magic. Not as much action in Criss, but the other magicians, acrobats, and actors were amazing too. It was a little loud in the beginning, but it didn't last too long and it helped set the mood. He was super interactive with the crowd and had a great personality that fit well with the show. There are moments that are fun and interesting but the show is poorly put together. 90% is a lot of nothing going on. We went to see criss angels "Amystica last night. A 9:30 show that didn't start until 10:30pm at Hollywood No explanation from planet Hollywood why the show was starting so late Criss Angel spoke for about 15 mins taking people from the upper to deck to fill in seats close to the stage so that it would look like a full house for the cameras, criss said they were taping the show and he wanted it to look like a packed house, maybe 3/4 full So once the show finally started, we didn't see criss again for the rest of the night. We did get a couple of voice overs by criss, but it probably was prerecorded. The show was really circus soleil tries to do magic. The few stunts were nothing special It was like watching the run of the mill strip verity show. A card trick that was boring. a guy called burning man, set himself ablaze, which was just so so. From the wardrobe to special effects and everything in between, these aspects brought Criss' story to life.
