I had a good experience with MFL-Moving For Less. When I needed to find another room to rent and move to, I searched and found MFL Moving. I believe I found them through Craigslist or something and then looked them up on Yelp. I was a little worried using a "no name" company to help me move, but they offered a cheaper price. So I figured why not? When I reached out to Eddie, he was very responsive and reliable. He asked me for basic details on the amount I needed moved and the miles I needed to go in order to give me a quote over the phone. We set a time and he showed up promptly. Eddie showed up with what appeared to be his son? I'm just guessing it was his son, I don't really know. He was polite and respectful. Helped me move and load/ unload. It was a smooth transaction. These guys only had a minimum of 2 hours which was a lot closer to what I needed. Eddie and Larry showed up on time, we're careful with the furniture, and got the job done quickly. So I give this company 3 stars. We had them move our stuff in August from the house we were moving out of to storage units. While they are hard workers and I would give them 5 stars for them busting their butts in the summer heat, they did hit and damaged the walls & front door of the house we were moving out of with no apology. We gave them another chance months later and had them move the stuff from the storage unit to our new house. While they only got the walls dirty here and there, they did break the glass and plug of a cabinet. They offered to give us a new cabinet however that was an irreplaceable cabinet which belonged to my grandparents who are both deceased. They stopped to get gas on the way to my house without telling me. One of the guys was pretty rude too. We agreed to meet 8:30am at the storage unit and they arrived at 7:30 and then wanted us to pay for that additional time. Told them this entire storage unit needed to be cleared out that day, they only took 3/4 of the stuff and said they're only making 1 trip, then took their time loading and unloading. I would recommend this company if you have a little amount of stiff to move, otherwise as long as you have all your furniture and walls bubble wrapped. read more

I spoke with Eddie multiple times ahead of the move and confirmed the start time, the hourly rate for three people, and that they would bring wardrobe boxes for the clothes in our closet. On the day of, Josh and Jamal arrived an hour early. Showing up a little early is appreciated, but an hour early when we're paying by the hour is unreasonable. Josh even made a comment when he came inside that "we didn't look quite ready". Yes, that was because they were an hour early. Josh didn't know anything about a third person and didn't have wardrobe boxes. He suggested that we could toss our clothes into some of their furniture pads and roll them up. No thank you. He said he would call the office when it opened, but that wasn't for a few more hours. My wife and I were frustrated, and when my father-in-law came into the room we updated him on the situation. Josh flew off the handle and said that if we were "going to complain all day" that he was leaving because he didn't "drive all this way" to hear it. I asked if he would be upset if he'd agreed to something that wasn't being provided, and he had no response to that. Jamal, the other mover, apologize for the situation and clearly had no say in the matter. The little interaction we had with him was pleasant. I called and left a message to complain to Eddie. I received a return call from an assisted who said that Josh reported us as being difficult and that she had never had a complaint about him in years of working with him. She also said another mover had been planning to arrive at the actual start time and bring wardrobe boxes. I asked why Josh knew nothing about this, and she didn't have a response. We suggested she speak to Jamal to get his side of the story. We never heard anything else from them. Every company makes mistakes. But it says a lot about them that instead of trying to resolve the situation, their employee stormed off, and that instead of speaking to us about the incident himself, Eddie had a person I'd never spoken to handle it instead. read more

I used Eddie and his crew to move from my house in Cathedral City to a condo in Palm Desert on a Sunday. They arrived as promised at 8:30 am. The move was completed by 1 pm. I have never seen guys work as fast or as hard as they did! I actually had to make them stop and eat some pizza that I had ordered for them. And then Eddie went to pay for it himself. I couldn't believe it. Naturally I ordered I paid but wow that's the sign of an honest man. They were recommended to me by two different friends and needless to say they are still my friends. I had a move set up with them and he had a helper. They didn't move bedding so I had to go get it before I could sleep. They didn't bring food and it thawed out though it was all frozen. I had to throw out most of it. They banged up a huge mirror and most furniture they moved. Nothing was wrapped. Both beds had holes in the mattress covers. They didn't move my golf cart and were supposed to come back but didn't. They brought a frig not mine and didn't take it back. It was a nightmare. And costs 1300 plus. Would never use them again and can't recommend them. If I don't get lamp shades back I will sue them as they match the lamps and are unique. U can't buy them and lamps need them or are useless. They cost 200.00. Yes I'm very unhappy and if they have one bad review then they are bad no matter how many good reviews. Why steal my cat litter? They had to move it to get frig that didn't belong here but litter did. I guess they have cats and needed an iron. read more

MFL is seriously as good as it gets. Eddie and Brian (Ryan on other reviews? I heard Brian when he introduced himself... Man, how embarrassing.) showed up with professionalism at the forefront, bright and early. Despite my having a DESERT SUMMER move (emphasis on summer... in the desert... in 100 degree heat...), they held good spirits the entire time. I never heard a word of complaint, never saw a dour look, even as they were POURING sweat. I cannot fathom how they held it together; they had 75-degree-indoor attitudes in 100-degree-outside working conditions. I've never seen anything like it. That day, I had a migraine and once we reached the new place, I was totally out of commission. I was moving from a two-story-up apartment (with two flights of stairs-- a tight corner on a landing) to a one-story house. They were quick and understanding. When I had some concerns, Eddie addressed them quickly and professionally with care. Furthermore, my concern required an outside professional, whom Eddie recommended, and the outside professional was likewise on point. While talking with the outside professional, he said (and these were legit his words about Eddie), "I would die for that man." These are good, honest people who work hard. It might sound cheesy (and maybe it's the day-after-July-4th talking) but they represent so much of what it means to be American to me. While the price you pay for these guys is beyond worth it, the value of hiring and paying honest, hard-working people is something you just can't put a price on. read more

That got me a little concerned because the medical equipment is extremely heavy and fragile. In addition, due to some miscommunication among our staff, they had to face some unexpected difficult situations. Found this company on Craigslist. Called for a quote and two really nice gentlemen came To my house same day. I was on a tight budget but they were able to customize a price that was right for me. On moving day 4/5/2014 they showed up right on time. I lived in a two bed/two bath and they finished the whole job in 3 hours. All 3 men were professional. They were kind and courteous of me and careful with my things. I loved how they took apart my bed frame for me and put it back together at my new place. Made it every easy!!
