I visited Analog when I recently attended the Clejan show. I had never been so I was unsure what to expect. The venue was large with the right amount of seating and standing room along with the balcony views from above. There really isn't a bad seat in the house. The staff was friendly and helpful. Great venue! Acoustics are so well executed, variety of great seating options, very cozy & intimate feel to music shows here. Drinks were reasonably priced & plenty strong. This time (Dec 5) saw super fun Chris Casello as opening act, with special guest Eddie Angel. Lots of musical friends present in the crowd... Headliners tonight were the ROCKING Surfragettes (hi tide recording record label). Drummer was incredible and you could see the band from so many fun angles with the open seating plan. There are two balconies, even! Flanking both sides of stage. Live the analog music decor behind the bar, too. Our friends snagged a comfy booth and enjoyed a great night of fun! Attended a show here last weekend. The sound was top notch and the vibe was right. Dark & moody interiors but the stage was bright. As things should be. My Shirley temple was good and the service was quick. Will definitely attend more shows here in the future. read more

We went to see Ivory Layne at the Analog, and this venue felt altogether chill, mysterious, and perfectly insulated for concerts. No matter if the song was a belt your heart-out anthem or a romantic ballad, this venue did an amazing job of accommodating not only the main act but also the wonderfully talented opening artists. Even when the set-up was a guitarist and a singer, the sound quality was so on point. The seating lends itself to be almost family style, if that makes sense. There are tables and cushioned chairs galore, so it's a bit of a pick your poison. I personally didn't make use of the bar, but no one in my party complained about the drinks they ordered, so I imagine there's a pretty great selection and/or there was a great bartender/mixologist on that night. I will always choose to see a concert at this venue because it feels intimate and close-knit not just with the singers, but with the audience as well. Analog gives new meaning to the term good vibes. read more

Analog is a very cool music venue with an intimate feel. Beautiful tree-like chandelier in the center of the room really sets the mood. I got tickets for a jazz show and reserved a table, which was nice to ensure a place to sit. I believe they have limited space and don't allow for standing room, so I definitely recommend reserving tickets ahead of time. The bartender gave us a free drink which is always a nice surprise. Didn't try the food but will definitely keep an eye out for more shows there. read more

Lew you're the bomb! From the moment I walked in I knew you would be the person! The girls at the bar were nice too when my husband would order from them. This place is super cool and it was super cold too. They had that air cranking that night, but after people start getting in and the party started it got calientito enough for me to take my jacket off. They music and sound were amazing. They had 3 bands that night including the one my husband played with that night. All of them were amazing. The prices are typical for the place. They decor was nice and a mixture of old and new. They had couches and tables. We were at the Íntimo show they offer so you had to buy the tables for the night to use them. They don't have bar stools around the bar so the seating is limited. They do have the balconies with also seating. The bathrooms are right there so you don't have to get lost in the hotel. They have a door for general admission and one for VIP I believe. Definitely a place I would like to come to listen to music and have a good time to friends. read more

I saw Cam Pierce and Corey Michaels last night - first time visiting this place and I was blown away! First off, these 2 original songwriters are the total opposite of all the cover-music bands you find in downtown Nashville. Just fantastically talented songwriters, vocalists and performers...top notch. It felt like I was in their cool, artsy, warm and cozy living room listening to them sing. The vibe, the seating, the decor, the SOUND QUALITY, the craft cocktails....it was all so good. If you are looking for a quiet, more intimate "Nashville experience" - you've come to the right place. I will be making many more visits to see live music here....the one and only drawback is there is no food served. If there were appetizers or tapas...heck even a deli style cheese plate I'd gladly come here for drinks and dinner and a show on the regular. What a great venue!!! read more

They hosted us for a private event during a recent conference and did a great job. The space is really cool. Would be good for a private event. The specialty cocktails are creative. They use the block ice. Service is hands on and if you tell them what you enjoy to drink they'll make suggestions. We had passed food items, not sure of "normal" menu. All that I sampled was yummy. 3.5 This is probably the most positive 3.5 review I've ever written. Analog is visually stunning but the newness (been open a few months) shines through. I'm curious to see what the place will be like come late spring. As of now, it's an interesting spot but there are some issues. The first thing you'll notice is the build out. It's gorgeous. From top to bottom, expect velvet, leather and a host of other tactile highlights. Bar seating, banquettes, high tables, and cozy nooks adorn both floors so you can have as public or private an experience as you want. You'll, likely, go for private given that Analog is very dark. Very. It sets a mood but you'll want your cell phone to give you light to see the menu (itself printed on black paper). The focal point of the room is an intimate stage illuminated by a dramatic chandelier. Again, it sets a mood. Visually, Analog knows exactly who and what it wants to be. Competitively, though, it's a different matter. In the past couple of years, Nashville has stepped up its craft cocktail game as well as the hotel scene. Once the hip ingenue of the Nashville hotel world, the Hutton is going through all sorts of changes to lure back the clientele it used to have without trying. I write all this to say is that as striking as Analog is, it can't rest on its pretty. Everything else has to equal up to what the market's offering these days. It's here where Analog stumbles a bit. The combination of hotel + new = a price point that goes from daunting to ridiculous. Cocktails will set you back $14 a pop. This is a trend that needs to stop. Nashville is not Chicago or Miami. Cost of so many things is outpacing the reality of the market. But that's another review. At $14 a pop, I don't think you'll make a night of drinking here so if you're going to grab a cocktail, make sure it counts. I had the Handsome In Handcuffs. Described as a rum, vermouth, curacao, and strawberry concoction, I was surprised by it. It's much more 'manly' than you'd imagine. Served in a (double?) rocks glass with a single, giant ice cube, if you didn't know you were drinking rum, you might think you were sipping on an Old Fashioned. The strawberry comes from a syrup that was used pretty sparingly. My friend ordered an off-menu gin drink when the Cubra Cobbler she wanted to customize wasn't to be because that particular (all?) drink was pre-batched. She was served a pretty drink in a coupe glass that had a flower in it. Pretty. It cost $18. No. Nope. Try again. A bottle of Bombay Sapphire (the gin used) costs $25. That drink made me question whether I'd come back to Analog. There's no other word to describe it than 'ridiculous.' We weren't here on a performance night so we enjoyed the soul playlist. The music matched the setting so I enjoyed that. Right now, there isn't a defined DJ program so on non-show nights, it might bit a bit of a hodge podge. The space, while decently-sized, might be loud with live music so if you're coming to chill out, consider that. If you're coming to see a show, though, it might be a good fit. There doesn't seem to be a bad seat in the venue. Since the customers were so sparse, we spent a lot of time talking with the bartender. He's a very affable fellow and made us feel very much at home. Unfortunately he also had a wicked cough and so I'm writing this review with a tickle in my throat and crud in my lungs. Sorry for the visual. There's a lot of promise at Analog. Visually, it's stunning. But it still needs to figure out what its identity is and the price point is going to be a deterrent to a non-hotel crowd. That said, it's still new and with the right leadership, Analog can be what it should be. read more

After having a delicious meal at WestEnd when it first opened, I was able to take a sneak peek into Analog. It was gorgeous. I had to come back. The chance finally came and I was so excited to sip a cocktail in this beautiful bar. The bar itself leaves your jaw dropping. Behind the bar is a cool stereo art piece that fits well in Music City. The sofas are leather and velvet and pure gorgeousness. Analog has a beautiful stage with velvet curtains (yes I love velvet, almost as much as gold) and a huge crystal chandelier. The upstairs area has half-circle booths facing the stage if you want a bit of privacy. The lighting is set to dark and gets darker as the night goes on. It was a little challenging to read the menu so maybe a few more lights would have been nice. The back wall of the room is a really cool wood tribal print mural thing. Very cool. The whole vibe of the place makes you feel like you are in a super hip recording studio. There isn't a bad seat in the house and it would be an amazing place to watch a concert. Will have to keep an eye out for upcoming performances. As far as drinks go, they have beer, wine, and cocktails. They have a nice selection of beers on tap for $7. A normal price for a nice craft beer. The one thing about this place that would make me hesitate to go back are the cocktail prices. They have a decent selection of pre-made cocktails for $14. Ouch. That's a good chunk of change for a cocktail that is on tap. What shocked me even more was when I ordered a cocktail not on the menu (because none of the choices were really drawing me in and you can't tweak them since are pre-made) was the price. $18! Whhhat?! I would never knowingly spend $18 on a cocktail. At least it had a pretty flower in it and it was delicious. I can't remember the name of it but it was some type of gin concoction. However for that price, I'll stick with beer. The bartender was very friendly and happy to explain any of the drinks or ideas behind the bar. He mentioned that they have the occasional event and musical performances. I would love to come back and watch a show. Overall, the mood was great but the prices were a bit too high for me. I understand hotel bars charge a bit more but this seemed like a bit much for what it was. If anything, go check out the place for the decor! read more

I asked bartender if she could at least fill my glass close to halfway for $14. She said no, so now I just bring my own in my purse. Problem solved! This is a unique music venue in Midtown Nashville inside of the Hutton Hotel. It is swanky and hip and a killlllller place to listen to chill live music. You can valet with the hotel. The decor is sumptuous. Lots of chic velvet, inviting couches. My favorite design element is the chandelier used to light the stage. This is not a place to see a loud or a large band. It is, however, a delightful place to see an acoustic trio, which is what I saw there. We were never served at our couch. We did have to go get our own drinks. But it's not that far to the bar from anywhere in the venue. If you are hungry, there is no food menu. However, you may purchase food from the hotel restaurant and bring it in. I did that. It was actually a little awkward because no one else had food..... I will be back! I'll keep an eye out for a musical act that appeals to me. But, this time, I will eat dinner ahead of time.... read more

Yes, Analog is beautiful. And for drinks or a show that isn't very crowded, it's probably a fine venue. However, my husband and I were at Analog this past weekend because David Duchovny (yes, that David Duchovny) was there to record a set (he's a musician and novelist, too, did you know?). It was extremely crowded, which made it easy to see Analog's flaws. It's not a large venue to start with, but my main complaint was that there are two enormous columns that run through the venue. The columns entirely block the view of the stage from the several large swaths of the back of the venue. At a show this crowded, where there are only seats for about 1/3 of the ticket holders, having so many places where the view of the stage is blocked is problematic. I couldn't see anything at all, which was unfortunate. (This situation was certainly made worse by the choices made by David Duchovny's team. They reserved the upper floor for VIPs,had several enormous cameras blocking even more of the view, and had several security guards moving around throughout the show in a very distracting and view-blocking manner.) Other than that, the drinks are expensive, and we were charged $12 for valet during the show (we weren't sure where to park around the venue as I tend to avoid Midtown). This wasn't a visit that has me excited to go back - that's for sure! read more

I love this venue. It's beautiful, classy, and hip, but not so much as to make anyone feel unwelcome. Rare is the venue that has spaces to chill and chat without being overwhelmed by people or music. Amazing spot that people need to know about!! The renovation that has happened in Hutton Hotel is spectacular and Analog is beautiful! We were able to go during one of the shows and the sound was great and there isn't a bad seat in the whole place! We snagged a table and the service was very attentive and prompt even though the place was really busy! The bar ended up having a slight computer problem but they were able to get it back up and running in no time, which was really impressive that they handled it so professionally. The drinks are really delicious!! I got one of the cocktails with ginger beer, which is on tap and it is a spicy ginger beer, which I love!! Really great experience and I can totally see myself becoming a regular at Analog! read more

My sister and I came to Nashville for a weekend and had basically no plans or itinerary. We stayed at The Hutton Hotel which offers a welcome drink at the bar. The welcome drink was good but what made it special was the bartender Cash, he wrote a list of almost twenty of his favorite bars and other sight seeing activities for us which was so helpful and kind!
