I've been going to Mayuri Doshi for eyebrow threading since college and have been a loyal customer of her for almost 10 years now. She has been amazing from day one and is someone I fully trust. Over the years, I've taken so many friends and family members to her salon and they have all been suuuuper happy with her work. Mayuri is very skilled and really takes her time with all of her clients. She works on both women and men and her salon offers so many services like facials, lymphatic massages, bridal henna, lash extensions, and more. Her prices are very reasonable for the quality of service you get, and she accepts both cash and card. The salon is appointment-based only, which I actually love because you get her full attention and never feel rushed. The service is always friendly and consistent. This barbershop is definitely a hidden gem! They are located in the same plaza as Vivek flower shop. Next to 99 Ranch. The barber is very skilled with both men and women's hair. I'm very picky with layered haircuts but he's definitely paid extra attention to details. Make sure to call for appointment and definitely ask the type of payments he accepts. After my second appointment for eyebrow threading with Mayuri (2nd time threading ever), I am a believer! I had always plucked my brows and while the result was ok and worked for a while, I wouldn't be able to get all the stubborn hairs or a clean edge. My experience: I was really impressed with how quick and painless she made the process. My brows probably took 7-10 mins and my upper lip was less than 5. Price: She charges $6 for each service. Not only is Mayuri's work excellent but she is very educational too. She informed me that plucking your brows is not a good long term option because this can cause the hair to break, leading to ingrown hairs or inability of the hair to grow back. She also shares her product knowledge with customers and offered to stock a skincare product for me, from a trade show she's going to. i have been going to peter since i was five years old when he worked at oasis salon, and i turn 20 in a couple weeks. over the years, i have REFUSED to go anywhere else because of the way he cuts hair so effortlessly, perfectly, and at much more of an affordable price. however that changes now. i have never experienced such racism, and unprofessionalism from him until recently. i am indian, as im sure much of his customer demographic is , working on pioneer. i went in, looking to just get my bangs cut, and he told me that he'd charge me $10 and it would take a couple minutes. i show him a picture of what i want, just as i normally do, and he begins to cut my hair. after he claims he's finished, i check it out and it isn't exactly what i pictured, and nothing like the picture i showed him. i kindly mention a few changes id like to make to my hair, as per the picture and to my likings, and he lashes out at me. he claims that he's been "dealing with my people" for longer than ive been alive, and "my community" is always difficult to work with because we are "too controlling." he also says that we are "what's wrong with the world" because of our controlling nature. excuse me??? i completely understand dealing with annoying customers. i've worked in retail and i understand, TRUST ME. but i was hardly controlling, and simply just showed him a picture on how i wanted it. (also if im paying for a service, i honestly think its fair to NICELY make a couple comments to be completely satisfied) . being RACIST is not how you handle customer relations. i'm not going to sit here and tell him how to handle his business, but this wasn't the first time it happened, as my mom had a similar experience, and im pretty sure this isn't the last. i honestly never write reviews, but im pissed. if he had an issue with me, he could've taken that up and refused service or whatever. i would not have cared. but i will not stand for him being racist and generalizing towards "my people" and i wanted anyone who took the time to read this to know just what kind of man is cutting ur hair. read more

I have been a regular customer for a few months and highly recommend this salon. As others mentioned it is not fancy but they provide excellent service. Peter cuts my hair and he is very precise. Cost of cut includes shampoo which is a great deal because other shops charge extra for shampoo. I walk over to Mayuri to get my brows done. She spends more time doing my brows than other salons. Just came home from a very pleasant afternoon getting my hair cut, colored, highlighted and conditioned by Peter. Although the salon is not luxurious, it is clean and organized..just not fancy--sort of "barber shop" like. I had the worst experience of my Eyebrow history, aside from the times I overplucked in middle school Whomever worked in Roma's chair while she was gone for the day of October 30, 2015 between the time of 3pm-330pm is the WORST eyebrow technician in my history of paid services. Wow. I felt uneasy walking up to her - the vibe wasn't familiar she started and the hairs were not being pulled from the root in any uniform fashion - against my better instincts I did not Decline service upon feeling splotched hair being pulled without pattern I trusted that Roma's Beauty Parlor, which I have attended for over 2 years now would ensure prestigious quality as always before. There was a bold spot in my eyebrow once I were finished!!!!! After being asked if I wanted to correct the issue by balding the center of my eyebrows and widening the space between them??, I replied " well you already decided to pull this hair" technician: " we shouldn't go any further" -- I paid for my service (without Saying Thank You) and upon walking to my car, I started to cry because I felt hideous leaving a place, I walked into with my shoulders and head held high only 15minutes prior I returned moments later to ask another technician if she could correct the work. Her reply " the missing spots were bald before you got here" NOT!!!!!!! TRUE SECONDLY, she went to correct the issue with pencil (I don't fill in or apply any makeup to my eyebrow region other than foundation and/or highlight) Thirdly, she suggested that I buy the pencil to correct the butchered work that I received from technician A. EXCUSE ME!!!! I LEFT THERE with the $$$ the original service cost me and a tip for myself ++++Trust your first instinct - go with your gut intuition 1. I've been going to Roma for 12 years - ever since I was 10, and a girl told me that I should consider getting my eyebrows done so that they weren't so thick and I told her she should consider having fivehead surgery done so that she'd have a forehead like everyone else (in my defense, being an Indian 10 year old was rough). Roma is a GENIUS with thread, and for someone like me who to this day hasn't gotten used to threading, is the least painful threader I've been to (and I've been to a lot). She's very quick at the motions of threading, but never rushes you to get to her next customer. She's extremely thorough, and always pores over every inch to make sure she got it all. In addition to being great at threading, Roma and the girls she work with are great at waxing (seriously, her bikini waxes are SUPER cheap and kind of amazing), and facials, so it's really a good one stop place. Went here for the first time and was impressed. Mayuri is very professional, knowledgeable, and informative. She walks you through each beauty treatment so there are no surprises. I love Roma's and have been coming here for about 4 years now for threading and waxing. Roma can always fit you into her schedule. I used to go to Ziba's before Roma's and prefer Roma's over Ziba's. Let me just say if you need waxing in that special area, you should come and give Roma a try. Never painful....and has a great technique and she's fast. Since moving to Orange County, I tried to find a place closer to home for threading and it was the worst mistake ever...those salons butchered my eyebrows. After reading all the reviews about Roma's almost painless bikini wax, I went ahead and made my appointment. I was greeted at the door as soon as I walked in and the gals made me feel very comfortable. When it came down to business, I was in major pain... lol. It was my first bikini wax with strips & I would not recommend it to anyone, unless they're use to it. All their products looked clean and neat and Roma did a good job at talking me through the process. She was very sweet. So all in all, if you can bare bikini strip waxing, this is a good place for you. I'll stick to the less painful (but more expensive) hard waxing or sugaring. Mayuri has taken over the business from Roma Mehta (who retired) and has upgraded the salon with a much more trendy spa decor. I spend 2 hours here for $156 worth of treatment (including my 20% tip) that leaves me feeling clean, refreshed, and relaxed. Mayuri starts my session with threading my full face and neck in the chair located in the main salon. Then we move into the private treatment room for my brazilian wax which is not too painful and fast. My favorite part is saved for last, my facial and upper body massage. Everything she does is with thought and consideration of her client, she even caters the facials based on how our skin is and with the latest products she has sometimes from India. During my acne extraction, though it can cause a tear, I am reassured that she is doing her best to take out the whiteheads in the calm voice and manner she has throughout my whole session. Just as her sign in the room states "Time to relax," which I indeed do for the whole time I am there. I have been going to Mayuri for the last 6 years or so and I absolutely love what she does. I followed her from her last salon. I won't let anyone touch my eyebrows or do my Brazilian. She helped me get rid of my ingrown hairs in my bikini region and she reshaped my eyebrows more naturally and more full. I've also had her do my facials when I feel like pampering myself and no one else has made a facial a full experience. She's also very knowledgeable on skin issues. She helped me clear up my skin significantly and she always knows how to distract me from the pain of waxing. Her pricing is fair and she won't push you to get something you don't need. Mayuri and her salon used to be great. Quality work with kind service. I stopped going there because I got a little bit of a snobby vibe from them in the past. I figured I don't have to put up with that, but didn't leave a review and took my business elsewhere. Still, I remembered how she used to be and thought I'd give them another try. Today I called to make an appointment for my mother in law who is visiting. I thought of calling them because I assumed I could count on them to be kind and gentle with her. She is a healthy Indian senior lady. Usually when she visits I get her hair done, threading, waxing, facial, massage, nails etc. a few times over the course of her stay. A little pampering for her. I usually take her to an Indian salon because I assume she'll be more comfortable and that these employees will be friendly with her. I have no problem paying for good service, I don't need any sort of discount, and I'm happy to tip well. Well, the hairdresser refused to see her and said they "don't do seniors." When I talked to the lady making appointments she said she could still do her face waxing, but tried to justify that he couldn't do her hair cut because "she'd have to bend and it will be uncomfortable for both of them." Wow, she is not a special needs customer, she's just elderly (and even if she was special needs, I would hope they would try and give her a decent haircut anyways). I just wanted to be sure they would be friendly to her, it didn't occur to me they would outright refuse service. I guess they only want people in their shop who look like they are young and stylish. And while I am, I will never go to a shop that treats others this way. We all have mothers, grandmothers and mother in laws, and one day we will be old as well. Mayuri is good with eyebrow and upper lip threading. She charged me $16 for eyebrow, forehead and upper lip. The under arms wax is $12. She is very detail oriented which is really good for her profession and keeps the client happy. I'm thinking of getting a facial soon. I wish she had the pricing list up in her Salon. read more

Well what can I say besides that this place is amazing? I usually go to a bunch of different places and nail salons to get waxed but one day was at my orthodontic office across the street and needed a eye brow wax BAD. I found this place on yelp and decided to give it a try and I am so glad I did. They did my eye brows perfect. I am one of those girls who tweezes and can't stop. My eye brows were an uneven mess. And she was very honest with me and told me they were which no one has done before. They just wax and get there money but this place actually took time to make them as even as possible and even used threading for some that waxing did not get.
