I was disappointed with this place. The hummus was good but you get a few small pieces of pita. Hardly enough to finish the hummus. The Steak kebab was okay, bland, a little tough and chewy. The lamb kofte was better. The portions were small. The plates looked half empty. A five small pieces of meat and a little portion of rice and salad for $21. I went before covid and it was the same. Rice and salad are cheap, at least give a little more, so is hummus and pita. read more

What a terrific place! I had lunch there last week with a girlfriend and the food was plentiful and so delicious. The place was practically empty (so very quiet), but I was shocked because it's a great place to eat! I noticed that they don't serve lunch every day, so they may have just started a lunch business, but please come try Anatolian and get the word out! First, I want to shout out to the young waiter. He kept a check on us (party of 6) the whole time we were there and treated us so nicely. Second, the appetizers (dolma and stuffed mushrooms) and the Sultans delight with Lamb was very tasty and enough to take home. Overpriced. Overrated. We had ordered four different dishes and all four of us had a similar feedback: it felt overpriced for the quality of food. Rice was undercooked, one skewer of meat on each plate was way too dry and tasteless. Side dishes on the plate felt like they were prepared a night before. One waiter servicing an entire restaurant was definitely felt, since it took her over 20 minutes to take our order and we never even gotten water. Definitely not going back! Switching it to 2 stars after owner's reply! I never questioned or wrote about the time it took to prepare a meal. Excellent Turkish restaurant tucked in Rocklin! It's the only legit one in the area, really. The food serves both Turkish food enthusiasts (or, Turkish people ) and someone who isn't familiar with the cuisine. Everything we've had off their menu has been super tasty; but I recommend trying out the iskender if you haven't before. IDon't forget to round off your meal with a Turkish coffee and desert! Dolmas we're lackluster and we're missing olive oil and lemon. The grape leaves were somewhat hard. Lamp chops cooked well done - were missing salt on top and were thin sliced. Chicken sandwich- meat not marinated. No garlic sauce Or complimenting sauce that suits the dish well. Overall we think something is holding the chefs back here. There was use of cheap vegetable oils instead of olive oil and most of the food was bland. We think the restaurant is overcharging based upon the quality and ingredients being used. Main takeaway to the owner- Don't be cheap on primary ingredients and spices. Use high quality butters, olive oils and spices to enhance flavors. read more

PLEASE bring back the Turkish pizza (lahmacun)! We had babaganoush, lamb chops & kunefe. Everything was good, but other than the kunefe, nothing seemed as special as I remember from their past location. The babaganoush was overwhelmingly garlicky and needed salt. It was spread very thin on a saucer & served with an empty-looking basket of pita. It would be a much better presentation to put the dip in a small bowl, surrounded by the pita. The lamb chop was tender, but definitely needed to be cooked at a higher temperature to get the delicious char/crust on the outside. It was served with rice that appeared to have frozen vegetables mixed in it (definitely not necessary), onions, shredded cabbage (delicious) & a chopped salad w/ brown bits of lettuce, mushy tomatoes & cucumber. There was also a tiny side of tatziki. Again, it felt like a very small amount of food spread thin on a large plate. The kunefe was DELICIOUS, but served with tiny forks that are very unpleasant to hold with their sharp edges and very thin metal, alongside a heavy knife. ‍ This is a restaurant we really enjoyed in the past & we will give it another try in the future & hopefully some of these little kinks will be worked out. It was a little surprising because the men working in the back had their chef's attire on & I was expecting something as good or even better than we had before. Our server was very nice! read more

In kids menu little pizza was super greasy, chicken tenders were frozen inside. Lamb was served in pool of oil. Many of drinks like ayran, some juices were not available. We always loved eating at Anatolian Table at their old location. Then we moved out of the area, and really missed their delicious food. We just moved back, and saw that they were no longer at the same location, but found that they moved just down the road (closer to the theater ). Whew! We finally made it to their new location, and really enjoyed our dinner. We got an appetizer, Spicy Humus - delish! I got the Chicken Kebap dinner.... It was just as I remembered, very good! My husband got the Mixed Grill Kebap plate with several meats, and was very pleased with his meal too. The service was very friendly and attentive. So happy we tried the Anatolian Table! We are both gluten free so we were hesitant. But, WOW what a pleasant surprise. The Chef was very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. The staff were super sweet and friendly. My Husband is Armenian and the food reminded him of his mother's cooking. The ingredients were fresh, the dishes well executed. The portions were big enough for us to take home with us for lunch the next day. We will Absolutely make this a go to spot! Best of all, we both felt absolutely fine after our meal. There was no gluten in our meals! So happy! Also, the place was clean! Went to the bathroom, very clean and fresh smelling. The only reason it is a 4 star, the ambiance was a little lacking. I'm not sure what happened to this place after it moved but food, especially meat is not the same. I come here mainly for the meet and specifically for the lamb and this first time that we were here after it opened in the new location we were unfortunately disappointed with it. The lamb has that specific lamb taste that if it's prepared properly shouldn't have, maybe they changed cooks but the meet that they used to have was way better. Sultans delight, the eggplant part was still amazing but again the meat was a disappointment. We also had the fillo pastry and they were still same as well. The portions of the meals became smaller, so based on the quality of the food and the portioning of the food the prices seem a little high in my personal opinion. If they brought back the old cooks I would give it a try again but with it being the way it is now I wouldn't go back unfortunately. Also the layout of the restaurant seems a little strange, I understand the concept of an open kitchen however the way it is done here seems like you're walk into a fast food place. Their other location was designed so beautifully and the atmosphere was calm and welcoming, like you're in Turkey but here it's more industrial. Not very pleasant atmosphere. read more

We ate here for the first time tonight. We order the lamb chops and fish. The lamb was extremely tender and tasty. The fish was very juicy. We got complementary pita and dip beforehand because the fish took awhile to cook and the owner gave my mom complimentary dessert to take home. Everyone was very nice.
