    10. Chicken Teriyaki Bowl
    Donna S.

Japanese-style fast food spot serving teriyaki chicken and beef, similar to Yoshinoya. I usually get the teriyaki chicken and beef bowls with just protein and rice, then add my own veggies at home. I will typically order the regular size, but if I'm really hungry then will upgrade to large. They have brown rice for an extra $1-ish. The flavor has a nice charbroiled taste, and service is quick.

This place is great food buttttt, seriously the service is horrible, rude and they have the music so loud.. can't think I could not even hear the rude girl take my order. It seems like I was bothering her. I spent $35 on a meal .. food worth it but the service is a disaster

My family tried this spot out after seeing it blow up on IG and Tik Tok. This place lives up to the hype! I placed a phone order and it was ready in ten minutes. We ordered the chicken bento, beef bento, and BBQ beef rib bento, all of which I recommend! The food quality was excellent and the portions were very generous. For $20-29 per bento, these were a real value. The meats were tender and juicy, with just the right amount of char without tasting burnt. The teriyaki sauce is flavorful, but not overpowering. The meats were topped with green onions, sesame seeds, and fresh avocado! Each bento came with plenty of rice, a fresh salad, miso soup, gyoza, shrimp tempura, and California rolls. We were all satisfied! The parking lot is small, but we lucked out with street parking. The place is small and lively. We're definitely coming back again and again.

My husband has picked up food from here before, but this was my first time. We ordered a Chicken & Beef Teriyaki Plate and a Chicken Teriyaki Plate to go. Both items were delicious! In fact, we enjoyed it so much that we went back again a few days later. The portion sizes are huge. We had leftovers both times. I have no doubt we will be going back again soon!

We stopped here for dinner as my mom has been here before and recommended it. I am so happy she did. There's plenty of seating inside and parking is tricky, but there is plenty of street parking. We ordered a half beef and half chicken bowl, a beef bowl with avocado, and 6 pieces of gyoza. It was ready pretty quickly and so delicious. I am happy we had time to eat it here especially since it was my first time. There is not too much teriyaki on the meat and it was flavorful. The rice was also great too. The gyoza was hot and tasted great. I definitely recommend this spot and want to try other items too.

Stopped in last week to try some of their Teriyaki service was quick and the employees were friendly. Had the Short Rib plate. The Short ribs were good. That being said this really is not a true Hawaiian plate lunch since the platter came with a salad and white rice. If you really want teriyaki this is a good place to go but it's not true Hawaiian plate lunch.

They have a drive-thru which is always busy. Parking lot is small, I came around 6pm and line was packed and no parking spaces so I decided to try again in the afternoon. I usually get their chicken and beef platter which comes with a side salad ($16.49). They give a good portion size and the food is hot and fresh. The staff is nice and the place is clean.

I discovered this place on instagram. It's a solid spot for teriyaki and they offer brown rice. The regular chicken bowl is a fair portion, and they offer a large bowl for people with an appetite. I will come here every time I go to Frank and Son's collectibles which is nearby.

My chicken teriyaki bowl with mixed vegetables and green onion was amazing! The food was so fresh and the teriyaki sauce is delicious. You can even get extra sauce if you want. The veggies were not overcooked. They were actually cooked perfectly still had a little bit of crunch. Service was good too. I definitely recommend this place and I can't wait to get it again!

Probably the best teriyaki joint around these parts. Not only do they give you generous portions of everything, but the quality of the meats especially were a step up from anything else similar. It was like flying business when everyone else is only offering economy; you notice the difference. The service was speedy and welcoming. I didn't have lengthy interactions with anyone but they took my order quickly yet accurately, and my food was in my hands in less than ninety seconds. I appreciate when a fast casual or fast food place remembers they're supposed to be speedy as well as satisfying. Too many food joints sacrifice speed in the name of getting it super right. Sometimes you don't need perfect; sometimes you need in your belly in less than three minutes. The ambiance was good. It was kind of small, but I like everything is a booth because a dining room should always be more booths than tables, and there shouldn't be a counter in sight. I'll be back here for sure. It's too enticing of a meal and a decent value not to.

I have been cravings for a good teriyaki chicken and I heard ANB makes a good one. I decided to head over after work on a Friday. There was a long line for the drive-thru so I decided to order inside. They do have a small parking lot that is about 10 parking spaces. I decided to go with one order of half and half bowl and one order of the beef bowl. The half and half comes with chicken and beef, since it's my first time I wanted to try both. You can upgrade your bowl to a larger bowl for $1.50. The upgrade is big! My food was big! You get your bang for your buck here. The food was exactly what I was looking for in a teriyaki bowl. It had a good amount of sauce and you can taste the char on the meats. I'm usually team chicken but I prefer the beef over the chicken here. The rice and green onions were good too. I love green onions in my bowls. This place offers plates, bowls, and bento box. They also have sides orders like California rolls, gyoza, and shrimp tempura. Overall, check this place out if you're ever cravings for a good teriyaki bowl.

Found this place through a tik tok video and let me tell you. This place does not disappoint, I ordered the chicken bento plate and chicken and beef plate. Both orders came packed with food. Each protein in these plates were well prepared and packed tons of flavor. I went through their drive through which I gotta say you need to have some patience with because it's a small lot and it was BUSY. parking is very limited but i would def come back for some chicken bento. Great overall experience, fast service and great quality.

let's see what the hype is about....

def lives up to the hype! I've tried several times to go when they opened but they were sold out so I finally made my way back and wow it was delish. I had the half chicken and half beef with a salad. The service was also great very attentive and welcoming.

We were able to snag a parking spot bc our car was small. The restaurant itself also looks like a house, just renovated as a restaurant, so it's definitely very cozy here with not a whole lot of seating. The waiting area is basically the patio. The staff seemed very busy with all the orders. It also looked like they weren't even going in order of the queue list since we wrote our name on the the waitlist wall. They were taking people in for people showing up to the front desk... We were seeing people getting seated before us even though we waited longer than them, so we were very confused whether they either just showed up as walk-in or came with a reservation... We checked on the wait time, and they eventually decided to seat us at the bar since they knew we were waiting for awhile. Seating at the sushi bar is pretty neat, but also kinda hidden that we were afraid service was going to overlook us. Luckily the father(?) of the restaurant, took care of us quite well and made sure we got our plate settings, order, water, etc. We ordered the mother's day special, which came with a sashimi plate and spicy tuna roll. We also ordered a side of calamari. Luckily the wait to receive our food wasn't too long, especially since we could get our sushi right from the bar. The portion sizes are hugee!! I've seen this place from TikTok so seeing this in person, wow the sashimi pieces are beautiful. I also enjoyed how little rice they give, so the sashimi rice ratio was prefect. Normally it takes me one bite to finish, but I need to have two bites to finish a nigiri. The spicy tuna was surprisingly a lot fresher than expected. Calamari was also pretty good! Overall, this is definitely a gem in the area. If only they were more organized with their wait system though lol.

The sushi tastes fresh, and one thing I appreciate is the rolls are always made well, nothing falling apart halfway through eating, which honestly says a lot about consistency. My kids were big fans of the tonkatsu ramen and finished it without complaints (which parents know is its own review category). The happy hour prices are also worth mentioning because you can order a decent amount without feeling guilty afterward. The biggest standout for us was our server, Bang. Friendly, attentive, and especially patient with my kids' food preferences. He was accommodating when we asked to modify dishes and gave recommendations. We placed the phone order for (1) roll and (2) macron ice cream things. (Which are already made and sitting in a freezer) We were told 25 minutes and so we waited about 20 minutes before I walked in to pick up my (1) roll, the only thing that required someone to make it. The front reception area was chaos with large parties waiting to be seated and scattered smaller groups of 3 or 4. I bypassed all that to get to the front and instead of a person is a tablet. All the human workers were scrambling around which told me they were "behind". I asked a worker about my phone order and she told me five minutes and took my payment. 35 minutes later I'm still waiting among the crowd who are also waiting to be seated. Workers are scrambling around like they just got trained that day. Confused looks and panic ruled the evening. Workers continued to jog past me to handing out drinks and trays of items and never checking back in with the small crowd. Confusion over clarity remained the theme as large parties asked why they haven't been seated yet. Small parties asked when they would be seated and I waited for (1) roll. A purely bad experience from start to finish from a place I've enjoyed in the past. The moral of the story is to expect the unexpected. Even though I've had pleasant experiences in the past here, I have to report the details of this visit based on its own merits and not prior visits. I ended up with my roll and it seemed like it was sitting back there somewhere ignored, like the groups waiting to be seated. It seemed not so fresh and like it was made 25 minutes earlier.

Kamon Sushi - Rowland Heights…read more Kamon Sushi is one of the few Japanese restaurants that has managed to stand the test of time in the Rowland Heights area. I've watched the restaurant go through management changes over the years, but they've done a solid job maintaining a consistent mid-level quality while continuing to attract local customers. One of the biggest draws is still their business lunch pricing. The menu is extensive, covering sushi, bento boxes, kitchen dishes, and more recently, yakitori. My personal preference is their bento boxes. The two-item and three-item combinations, typically ranging from the mid-teens to low twenties, remain a dependable choice. Inflation has made them less of a bargain than they once were, but compared to similar Japanese restaurants in the area, they are still reasonably priced. Over time, Kamon has evolved into a more modern Japanese restaurant with a broad menu. The upside is variety. The downside is that I don't think they've found one category that truly stands above the rest yet. The yakitori is alright. The tempura is alright. The sushi is decent. The bento boxes are probably the strongest part of the menu. What consistently stands out is the service. The staff is friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which keeps me coming back. Kamon may not be the place for the best sushi, the best yakitori, or the best tempura in town. But if you're looking for a reliable neighborhood Japanese restaurant with a wide selection, fair pricing, and great service, it continues to be a solid choice.
