We ordered the loaded fries with chicken, chicken nuggets and chicken sliders. The chicken and all the ingredients tasted really fresh. Everything was made to order and we had a pleasant experience here. 3 sliders for $10 is unbeatable. The portion size was good. Giving a four instead of a five star since it's lacking a little bit of flavor in the batter of the chicken but it's pretty good! Would still prefer chick fil a though. Service was excellent. The workers there actively clean the tables and were kind. Plenty of seating inside and parking outside the restaurant. Would recommend trying!
I like my meat dark.... Chicken meat that is. What a great place to sell primarily dark meat chicken (their nuggets are white meat). Ok. Wallace. Had to look up its' origin story coz I wouldn't have thought it was Chinese! Pretty cool - look up where they came from! We ordered almost one of everything to try it out. My fave is the chicken sandwich and their fries. Food came out hot and so tasty. Can't wait to go back.
Tried for 1st time after all the hype. Chicken sandwich 3 for $10 is decent. The chicken thigh was kinda stringy, maybe old sitting for a while or some kinda brine? Batter is thin, not much crisp. Pickles are super thick cut, a little bit of sweetness, not briney. Potato bun sticks to your mouth a bit. Got a side of 2 spicy wings. Much juicier, natural tasting, they added cayenne pepper for the spice. I'd say Popeyes has far superior fast food chicken sandwich but theirs is more expensive. $14.26 for 2 people isn't bad in this economy. I think I'll come back to try it again. Random observation, the box in the bag is so tight, was difficult to remove.
Wallace Chicken (West Covina) IMPROVED dramatically! Today, I ordered the Chicken Sandwich, and it arrived THICK and JUICY. It was presented with sincere effort. I found myself happily biting into that fresh, satisfying meal. WOW. Honestly, this business had me worried at the beginning. One month ago, I only heard nightmare stories about this place. I also had a very underwhelming experience back then too. To my joy, Management seriously stepped up and addressed these concerns. I am happy that the food is cooked very well. Currently, this spot is a wonderful destination for a juicy, fresh chicken sandwich. Welcome to West Covina, Wallace Chicken!
There is plenty of parking at this location. The hours are also great. Mon-thur they close at 10 and on the weekends they close at midnight. They have a new cheese sauce that reminds me of a nacho cheese flavor. It is paired well with their chicken dishes! They now have their full menu available and I must say, their waffle was delicious! Not too sweet, but I wish there were two waffles to make it into a sandwich, haha! There are plenty of tables and chairs inside the dining area. Tables are wide enough to play mahjong on! I do plan on coming back weekly (I was one of the lucky 100 to claim a free sandwich for a year) and order other items on the menu! Did I mention, this is a chill place to play games at?
Recently, this new restaurant opened near my house, and I had heard good reviews about it. I decided to try their original chicken sandwich combo and their grilled chicken wrap. The portion size of the original chicken sandwich combo was decent, but I was particularly impressed by the generous portion of grilled chicken in the wrap. The food was satisfactory; however, I still believe that Chick-fil-A is a superior option overall. That said, the grilled chicken wrap does stand out when compared to Chick-fil-A's offering. In conclusion, I don't think I'll be returning, but if you're craving a chicken sandwich on a Sunday, this place is a good alternative to Chick-fil-A.
Wallace opens a new location in West Covina. The restaurant is spacious. They have numerous indoor seating. Adjacent parking is available. They also have drive thru. We were greeted once we entered the restaurant from all the employees. The decor is vibrant. The place has cozy and relaxing vibes. It was very clean. The menu includes wide assortment of chicken sandwiches, chicken wraps, or buckets either of chicken nuggets , wings or French fries. They also have sides as tempura chicken nuggets, coleslaw, French fries, loaded fries, wings, and waffles. We ordered the large nugget bucket, the three chicken sandwiches for $10 and two individual French fries. The chicken nuggets was vet crispy and juicy. The sandwiches were excellent. The chicken was crunchy, flavorful, juicy and tender. The French fries was crispy, golden and tasty. We had such an amazing meal and a great experience. If you are craving delicious and affordable chicken meal with excellent service, Wallace Chicken is the right place.
Visited Wallace because my daughter wanted to try it, and this location just opened. I placed my daughter's order (a number 3), and asked for a side of coleslaw. At that time, the cashier advised they were out of coleslaw, wraps, and another item that I can't remember. This was a really frustrating experience. I don't understand how a food establishment can run out of 3 menu items, when the menu is not too big, and it was two in the afternoon. While my daughter rated the food as "just okay" It's hard for me to say I will be a returning customer, when so much of the menu was unavailable.

Two stipulations were that you can't use the free chicken sandwich on grand opening day and lastly, can only get 1 free sandwich a week. Restrooms: There's two restrooms available to use. Credit Cards: They're accepted. Location/Parking: Located on NW corner of W. Christopher St and S. Glendora Ave.. Parking wasn't a problem here. If you can't find parking in their lot, you can find parking along W. Christopher St. Ambiance/Decor: Neat ambiance with modern furnishings. They have a drive thru, but for now... you can't order ahead of time. Offerings/Service: They didn't offer all the items that were on the menu. On the day I went, they only had combos 1-5 available to be ordered. Service was good. Staffers were nice and went around to see if we were okay. Food took about 10 minutes Food Of Choice: 1) Chicken Sandwich: 3 chicken sandwiches for $10. I hurried back to my car to eat and it was a bit dry, wasn't really temperature hot, kinda fibrous, and wasn't crunchy. 2) Nuggets: Tempura chicken nuggets were decent. Wallace Chicken For Thought: I would like to give them another chance. Perhaps grand opening day was a fluke. Hopefully, they can offer a 3 grilled chicken sandwich deal in the near future.
Another chicken chain in town! Never heard of this place. Is it a popular chain in China? Or one of those chains that is just a blip in China? I only tried the chicken and fries. They were all okay to me. No ASMR crispiness though. The kids ate up the chicken nuggets. My friends enjoyed the burgers. Thought it was better than Chik-fil As. I was eating and drinking all day so I only wanted something simple. I did not go into the restaurant. We got take out and I didn't go anywhere near the store.

DO NOT EAT HERE UNLESS YOU WANT A SALMONELLA RISK!!! I went through the drive through and got a #2 sandwich and two chicken wings to try as they just opened. The wings were slightly pink, I'm hoping and praying that it was just the pinkish tone that happens with dark meat as there wasn't any noticeable texture that felt off. The sandwich was a different story. The moment I took a bite I KNEW IT WAS RAW!! Immediately spit it out. I will be contacting the health department. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!
My family and I went to the Walnut location before and now it has opened a new location in West Covina. This one is bigger and has a drive thru. Glad to be able to go to the soft opening! For the soft opening day, you have a choice from Meal 1 to Meal 5. We ordered #5 which was the Grilled Chicken Club Sandwich that included a fountain drink and French Fries. The sandwich was very savory and juicy. We had the non-spicy version. It had everything in it - pickles, tomato, lettuce, cheese, and wa sauce. Delicious and filling! The fries were also yummy and had some seasoning in it. I like it that the food is not too salty. :) The ambiance / atmosphere is very warm and welcoming! Some of the seats have bolster pillows in it - which is a lovely touch. We got our food in a few minutes. Excellent customer service! The owner was also very nice and friendly. Today, there was a dj playing some cool music. And there were some vintage and cool cars to see at the parking lot. There is also ample parking spots for everyone. Some customers did drive thru. We'll try out their other dishes and come back here again next time! :)

Fed a family of six for under $30, and honestly, you cannot find that kind of value anywhere anymore. Everyone got full, the portions were generous, and the food actually tasted fresh and made to order. The dark meat chicken sandwiches are the real standout. Dark meat has more flavor, stays juicier, and does not dry out like a lot of chicken breast sandwiches do. The chicken was crispy on the outside, tender inside, and the sandwich had that rich, flavorful bite that makes you want another one. Great food, great value, and an easy choice when you need to feed the whole family without spending a fortune. Please is really clean and the staff was very nice checking on everyone. read more

First time trying it the other day! It was very good! The chicken is delicious and definitely love the sauce. The regular fries were okay. I am surprised how you can get a full meal (sandwich, fries and drink) for such a very affordable price. I paid 9.86 for everything that I ordered. When I went right in, the staff greeted me right away and are very pleasant. She recommended me things I should get and even showed a burger plushy that she mentioned resembles the size of the 3 sandwiches for $10. What a steal! I would definitely get three sandwiches next time! The place is very spacious and clean! The ketchup, jalapeños and the sauce plastic cups are all filled up! and also looked clean! They even have a drive thru, so it's convenient if you're on the go. One car even forgot their other order and was about to turn left, and I saw a worker running after the car to make sure they don't have to come back for it. That is very good customer service right there though! Especially in this heat. They also have security outside! Would definitely come back and bring my family and friends! read more

Love their Fried Chicken Sandwiches! It made with dark meat so the it's always juicy and tender plus the batter is ultra crispy! Their nuggets taste like McD but made with dark meat. I'm in heaven. I saw that their official grand opening is this Sunday and the first 100 people get free sandwiches for a year! It's like what!!!! I got invited to a preview day and I know as a Yelper, you are gonna love it!! I can't wait until Wallace chicken opens more locations especially in the OC! Anyone want free chicken sandwiches for a year?! Wallace Chicken is opening in West Covina on June 7, and the first 100 customers will receive free sandwiches for a year! They'll also be holding raffles on the day, with a bicycle as the grand prize. Now let's talk about the food. The chicken sandwich at Wallace Chicken is different from the ones at Popeyes. Instead of being so crunchy that you can barely taste the chicken, this sandwich lets the flavor of the marinated chicken shine through. You can really taste the seasoning in every bite. The fries reminded me of waffle fries, just without the waffle shape. The chicken nuggets come with a WA sauce that is unique and worth trying. They also offer a spicy version of their fried chicken sandwich, which I didn't get a chance to try. If you're a chicken sandwich fan, this is definitely a new spot worth checking out. read more
This was a must visit after the announcement of this location opening. Came in during the evening of the grand opening when everything was more calm and not busy. The staff were super nice. The inside was clean. The food was delicious and one of the best chicken sandwich spot. The chicken was super juicy and tasty. The side of wings comes in two for only $3. Stopped by Wallace since it's only a few minutes from my house. We ordered a few burgers, the grilled chicken wrap, and chicken wings. The burgers were my favorite. The dark meat chicken was juicy, the buns were nicely toasted, and everything tasted fresh. Great value for the price. The grilled chicken wrap was also really good and reminded me of the ones I'd get back in China. The wings were crispy on the outside and juicy inside--best when they're fresh out of the fryer. Love that this location has a drive-thru, too. Super convenient when you need a quick meal. I'll definitely be back! read more

Way better than McDonald's in both price and quality! Chicken Sandwich ($3.99): Huge portion of juicy dark meat with a delicious butter-toasted bun. Super filling for under $4. Tried for the very first time and was very satisfied! We ordered the Grilled Chicken Sandwich, Loaded Fries, and Fried Chicken Wrap. The grilled chicken sandwich was super juicy thanks to the chicken thigh, the Loaded Fries with fried chicken were packed with flavor and came in a portion that's perfect for sharing, and the Fried Chicken Wrap was filled with crispy chicken and fresh veggies, making it light but still really satisfying. The server was really nice and was giving me lots of suggestions on the items that I'm confused on. read more
Good chicken, good prices. I would compare it to Chickafil but the meat is so tender here as they use dark meat. They have a multitude of sauces as we like the original sauce and spicy Nashville sauce. Theire fries are also really good: crunchy with a coated, seasoned outside layer. Their pricing is so affordable. 5 piece chicken nuggets were so goods for a price of less than 3$. You can have it with honey mustard or bbq, Like the honey mustard. They also have a 3 sandwich deal for $10 which is awesome. Their interior is supper clean. Free parking with security as well. I hope this place is here to stay! read more

I got their coleslaw, spicy wings, nuggies, grilled chicken wrap, spicy deluxe chicken sando, and chicken and waffle meal to try. All the chicken except the nuggies are dark meat and was super flavorful, savory, and juicy. The coleslaw was sweet and crunchy. The spicy wings were super meaty and decently spicy. The nuggies were yummy and like McDonald's, the grilled chicken wrap was surprisingly wrapped more like a burrito and had big strips of grilled chicken, a bit soggy lettuce, and mayo. The spicy deluxe sando had a decently spicy juicy filet, gooey American cheese, juicy tomato, lettuce, pickle, and mayo on a kinda dense buttery shiny bun. The chicken and waffle meal came with lightly battered fries, a protein shake, a yummy fried chicken thigh, and my favorite sweet sugary fluffy yet dense liege waffle. Great place to stop by for some chicken sandwiches or wraps. Prices are incredible in this economy. Also, they use dark meat which in my opinion is juicer. This place just opened up here in Covina. Their full menu is now available and includes dishes with white rice , You are greeted with the friendliest of staff. Some are still learning, so be patient. The food comes out hot and fresh. I love how they are using dark meat, nothing is better than a chicken thigh. Fries are hot and crispy, the nuggets are really good as well, taste a lot like MC D when you get them hot and fresh. I hope their nuggets are always served this way. The only reason I did not give them a 5 was because when I asked them for the fries of my combo, they questioned me, and made me feel like I was trying to pull one on them. They saw the mistake and quickly gave me the fries. I then asked another smiling team member for the BBQ sauce I had ordered, he was getting it when another team member, said out loud "why is she still here". That right there... should not happen! At least say it quietly, not in front of my face so rude! When I said I'm getting sauce, he did not even apologize, or say anything! He just gave me a look. I understand they are still learning, but when a customer is nice, be nice not rude. The chicken sandwiches are really good, it would have been easier to say, customer service is bad, food is bad, but it's not, the chicken is fried to perfection, and comes with a nice crisp pickle in it. Definitely clean and almost ready to open for the public. The crew is hard at work training this day and about to serve the lucky few of us on this soft opening with tasty fried chicken with a smile. It's brightly lite and decorated with vibrant pieces. So I got to try Wallace's fried chicken for the first time ever!!!! I mean ever. Their quality, price point value and most of all flavor is like what I wished was when eating out in the SGV but no one ever did this till now. I got the spicy chicken sandwich and flavor wise it's the popcorn chicken spicy flavor that's the right amount of heat and sweet, savory and salt.... Hits the trifecta... I hacked the sandwich by adding their in house fresh made small batch sauce... tastes extremely familiar but better....now you can get this sauce on Sundays crunch of the chicken was ther. The pickles were thick cut and not floppy, just the right amount of brine and not salty as some places over salt.... Everything is well balanced with this sandwich. Sliced American cheese was melted onto the sandwich and not cold which I loved. Fries and nuggets were tasty and not mush. Great crunch on both the chicken nuggets just kept me going back for more. Fries have. Nice outter crunch layer tender inside well made. The staff were sooooo nice and friendly. Great place to visit. They have a drive through as well but I did the sit down. The place is bright and well lit, clean and plenty of space to sit eat chat. read more
The fried chicken in the sandwiches are thigh meat that are juicy and not processed - probably my favorite part of the meal. The pickles in the sandwich are also delicious. The fries we had were unfortunately warm and not hot, but they had a good texture. You also need to get ketchup from the staff. The female cashier was very friendly and professional. There was no coleslaw tonight and the ice machine was also empty. The store just opened yesterday, so it might take some time before things run smoothly. I would probably recommend trying the 3 for $10 chicken sandwiches next time. Overall a good first experience. read more
Wallace Chicken West Covina has finally arrived. If you have tried their Walnut location then this one is going to be even bigger and better. Wallace is featuring their first drive thru experience with an excellent location. It's hands down one of the best chicken sandwich establishments in town, with the best bang for your buck. Where else can you get 3 chicken sandwiches for $10? The service here is excellent, and the staff is friendly. The restaurant itself is brand spanking new, spacious, and pleasing to the eye. I've been going to the Walnut location since they opened but I had to visit the newest one. So excited that they have a drive thru now!! The spicy chicken sandwich is my go to and it was as good as always. Their food is always fresh and you can tell they use high quality ingredients. Service was excellent and the staff was friendly, they even greeted us as we walked in and when we left. Wallace is my fav spot for a quality chicken sandwich and I will definitely be back! read more

The 10 for $3 chicken sandwich is an absolute steal - crispy, juicy, and that pickle adds the perfect tangy crunch. Unbeatable price. Other menu items are tasty too - wings, sides, all solid. Quick service, generous portions. Highly recommend! read more

Wallace Chicken is absolutely worth a visit. The chicken is always fresh, crispy, and packed with flavor. They use dark meat for their sandwiches, which makes them incredibly juicy and flavorful every time. If it's your first visit, I highly recommend the Spicy Deluxe Sandwich, but honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
