Let me state that purchasing the vehicle from this dealership was easy, they wanted the deal. The issues began with no follow up to several issues. As of this date, still have not received paperwork for tags even after multiple emails and phone calls with no response. The even bigger issues that after 2 weeks and noticing a drip small puddle on the garage floor of engine coolant took the car 2017 Range Rover Sport to the local dealership and discovered that the entire cooling system required replacement which was a 3K. Still no response from the dealership regarding this issue. I would advise too not purchase from them without a complete inspection from a reputable mechanic. Terrible experience. According to carfax and dealership truck was in great condition. On our drive home check engine light came on. Took vehicle to have all fluids changed out and they would not even touch the vehicle because of the severe amount of rust damage that had been painted over. Been driven less than 500 miles since we purchased and it broke down on the side of the road and needs a new transmission. Transmission place says he can tell this transmission has been worked on before which the dealership also neglected. read more

Huge waste of a 4-hour detour on my trip south. I spent an entire day racing through Saturday traffic from Philly to Raleigh just to make it to this place with plenty of time before they closed. Wasted another $15 on the express lanes near DC to try to make up for an hour lost in Baltimore and DC beltway traffic. All of this because I was fully intending to buy a car. As others have stated, they did not show damage in advertising pictures and the minute I got in the driver's seat to test drive, I knew the damage to the back seat leather was never going to be okay with me for the non-bargain price they were asking. Jordan gave a typical spiel about how someone else wanted to buy the car earlier that day, and he almost got fired because he was holding the car for me. Right. (Heard same story from the next dealer, what a crazy coincidence!) I did call before leaving to say I was interested, but no, I was not going to pay a non-refundable $200 to hold the car. Ridiculous! Glad I didn't get suckered into that for a car with damage they hid in their ad... sounds like a clever scheme. I test drove it only because I'd driven 7 straight hours to get there, without even taking a bathroom break, nor letting my kid stretch his legs. Total waste of my time. Told Jordan I wasn't interested because of the rip in the leather. He asked what they could do to interest me? I said take $1000 off, but honestly I wouldn't even buy the car unless they replaced the whole seat, which would never happen. He threw up his hands like my bargaining was outrageous, and I guess he thought I cared, because when I stood up to leave his eyes widened. Sorry, I said I wasn't interested. I don't deal with deceitful nonsense. Huge waste of my time and money. I bought a 2015 Porsche Macan S with relatively few miles 68,000 on March 8, 2023. The deal during the purchase was quite nice, the problems started 24 hours after I bought the car. I started to feel a knock when I was going at low RPM. That was the famous Transfer Case. Literally that happened less than 2 hours after I took the car from the dealer, when I got home I felt the blow, the next day I call the dealer and I tell him I'm going to take the car to you, the seller brought it Jay drove it and he tells me it's That really feels like take it to Porsche and they tell you what it is and you fix it. I was shocked because I said that I bought this car less than 15 hours ago and they are telling me now, that is basically your problem. It turns out that they also recommend an extended warranty called Endurance CO. which turns out to be a SCAM. Because now that they have to cover, they say that they are Pre-Existing conditions etc etc etc and that is why they deny coverage. Two weeks ago with 69,200 miles, 3 months and 1,100 miles after I bought the car. I have a massive oil leak in my driveway, I take the car to a Porsche dealer and it turns out that the car has the Damaged Timing Cover total cost $USD 11,300.00 Transfer Case Damaged total cost USD$ 3,200.00 TOTAL REPAIRS 14,500.00 USD I'm not saying don't buy there, but if that's the quality you're selling, be careful because now I have a debt of USD 28,000.00 + USD 14,500.00 in repairs. read more

Avoid Anchor Auto Outlet dealership at all cost. Why? I too purchased a vehicle in February 2024 only to have the Transfer case go out on me. When I inquired about the jumpy take off every time the gas was applied, he (sales owner) proceeded to say it was the Turbo that made it that way. Wrong...it was the Transfer case damaged and cracked Module found later in this review. I should have declined the sale when the headlights operating unit was completely unattached from the dash. If the finance lady hadn't been there and forced them to fix, I don't think he would have tried. That was my second red flag. It was highly recommended by the sales owner that I purchase a warranty/contract so I did thru them called NVP Warranty. They are the rudest and most unprofessional people I've ever had to deal with which was my third red flag that I had been screwed. After spending over $1900 just to get the vehicle caught up in missed maintenance which found the Transfer case issue (although the keychain provided by the dealer has "INSPECTED" on it) they didn't do a thing to this vehicle nor did the last owner. Missed 60k mile maintenance which would have caught the Transfer case issues...so the NVP Warranty company found the cheapest used part they could with a bad module code box that won't read the correct information on my dash and caused my 4X4 to continue to kick in causing a dangerous situation while driving. The warranty had a 4 & 5 Star package that basically covered most everything major but excluded stupid things like excluding transfer case oils and not being responsible for parts attached to the transfer case. So, the Auto repair shop offered to better, a little more expensive transfer cases with working module boxes but NVP Warranty declined their better part and went with a damaged one making ME pay for the missing oil and now, won't replace the transfer case with a working module code box. I still had to pay an additional $762.80 out of my pocket to include the transfer case oil, labor charges over the amount the warranty would cover, over $1000 in rental cost since the labor per the warranty should only take 4 hours but it took them 5 days to find a part and 2 additional to ship to the auto repair shop! I'm filing a claim with the NCDOJ because this dealership needs to be put out of business. Things happening naturally in the world are expensive enough. Anchor Auto just caused some people to become homeless must less have a vehicle to drive to work! :( read more

A very bad experience I had with this dealership. Jay and Michelle, how could you do this to us? We went to buy a car at this dealership after looking at the reviews. The car was parked out when we went there for a test drive, it was a Jaguar XF. After driving for about 15 min the TPMS light came on the dashboard. When asked Jay told us that it was due to the long stay outside in the lot so filling in with air would fix it. We didn't want to buy it since adding an extended insurance coverage would cost us almost 21K. So we went with a 2020 Camry LE with an extended warranty. Again while test driving the same TPMS light popped up on the dashboard when asked we were given the same answer. Also, before signing the papers I asked Jay about the tires since all four are different. He said that's fine since all of the 15-inch wheels. So we went to sign the papers. While singing I was about to take out the check for the $2000 down deposit but I was interrupted by Michaell. We signed the rest of the paperwork and started heading home which is 1.5 hrs. The weather was nasty as it was raining heavily suddenly my brother noticed the TPMS sign on the dashboard but we drove very carefully back home. On the 3rd of Jan'23, I received a text about the down payment that they did not receive, implying as my fault. So how can you allow the vehicle to leave the premises without a downpayment being made? Your fault for turning into the customers? As a responsible buyer, I made the downpayment over the call. On the same day, I called Jay and told him about the TPMS issue he said the state inspection is passed and nothing can be done, you signed papers and you own the vehicle. So I checked with the insurance company and they said it is not covered. I called back Jay to cancel the insurance but he said to talk to Michelle. I did and according to her, we have to wait for a month to cancel the contract. A form has to be filled out at the end of the month to cancel the contract. In the meantime, I took the car to the dealership for a full inspection. They inspected and said the car has sensor issues and that the tires have to be changed. The TPMS issue is due to a puncture on the edge of the tire and it can't be fixed but only replaced. They also found other issues on the vehicle that needs to be fixed. So I conveyed the same to Jay but received the same robotic answer "you signed the papers and nothing can be done". Now, I got suspicious about the insurance so I called "NVPWarranty" and according to them, we as a customer have 30 days to cancel the contract after which a nominal fee will be charged. So I told them to cancel the contract which they did in a heartbeat and said they will intimate the dealership. So I called back to Jay and told him about the warranty contract, he started mumbling, and didn't expect me to figure out about the warranty. He said he will talk to Micheall and let her know. So after a week I called back to the NVPwarranty to get an update and they said they did not receive any form from the dealership, after asking further they said they will make sure they receive the form from the dealership, and if not they will cancel the contract with the dealership. And guess what the next day the form was sent and my insurance contract was canceled and the money was sent back to the bank as a credit. Since they are totally out of my trust zone I called the bank and claimed a dispute regarding the downpayment since they sold me a defective vehicle that could take my life while driving. Now, I started getting threatening messages from Jay that they file a police complaint about vehicle theft since the downpayment was not made. I contacted my Attorney and he advised me to withdraw the claim. My attorney said once all the required investigation is complete we will proceed legally filing a lawsuit. After a few days again I received a threatening message claiming it to be not a threat about the money that they still did not receive. So I forwarded the proof of payment and warned them to stop harassing me for more money read more

WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! This is a repost because the owner paid $150 to google to have the following review removed rather than put that money towards diagnosing my car. Please note that the owner is not willing to account for the new tires ($1500) and tinting ($650) that I had installed on the vehicle while waiting for the return appointment at their dealership in good faith. BOTTOM LINE I will be losing over $2k in one week on a trade for another vehicle because he is unwilling to account for the new tires, tint upgrading, wiring work (that they promised they would take care of yet I paid for $364.32), and dealer prep fees ($350). STOP DIVERTING and fix my car like you said you would 30 minutes after I purchased the vehicle. The vehicle will not pass a state inspection with the check engine light on, and I simply need you to get it diagnosed utilizing proper equipment so it can be repaired. That $150 that was spent on removing the review should have been put towards the diagnostic test, plain and simple. My car is still not fixed. So, for a 3rd time, I took the car back and they reassured me this was a problem they would take care of, and that they wanted me to be a satisfied customer. My car stayed at their shop for a week. I called the GM and left numerous messages, but received no return phone call whatsoever. After many attempts, I eventually got him on the phone and he stated to me that the owner said that there is nothing they can do and he would not be honoring their prior commitment to ensure the vehicle was in good working condition. I can't even get the car inspected with a check engine light on and I feel thoroughly betrayed and taken advantage of by the owner of Anchor Auto Outlet. When I picked up my Un repaired car (for the 3rd time) this afternoon, the sales manager had the audacity to confront me and say that I refused an additional warranty when I purchased the vehicle. I gave 2 stars instead of 5 because of the young man I dealt with was disrespectful & flippant with me on several occasions. First time I had mentioned the high mileage on the car & his response was "Well, why don't you just buy a new car?" If I wanted a new car, I wouldn't have been there. Second, he promised to fill the gas tank & replace the wiper blades which were both shredded. (The latter was written in the contract). After several phone calls & promises from him, he had only one of the blades replaced (on the passenger side). Several more calls went un-answered & so I went in there to ask about the other blade. I walked to his desk & he said "I have a customer." There was no one at his desk however. I was a customer also. An unhappy one. He said, "We replaced the 1 blade." I told him it had been written in the contract with the finance man to replace the wiper blades & he then said, "What contract?" Really?? Finally got the blade replaced but not before I asked if there was a manager there. Oh, & the gas tank was only 1/4 full. I let that go. On the day I test drove the car, he had taken it & told me he had filled it with gas. Happy with the vehicle but not so much with the attitude of Ryan. I hope he learns how to treat the customers. He lied to me & I really didn't appreciate that. Although this isn't a huge deal, it could have been prevented had he shown some respect & not lied to me.
