I came here after my car was rear ended by another person recently. They had Geico insurance, and brought me to this place to get my bumper replaced. My experience with this team was fantastic. They fixed everything up super fast, and my car looked good as new. The repair only took three days, and when I got my car back they had vacuumed out the whole thing and given it a car wash. Great experience here. Came in w/ a windshield wiper leaking after a minor front end fender bender unsure of what it was and they were very honest. It was a little crack in a fluid line they patched it for $88 total - they could've easily done unneeded work, replaced the pump and/or the fluid basin which is an involved job the way Ford designed the explorer front ends, and charged me $300-$500, but they didn't. I only docked one star b/c the scheduling process was a little tough and they weren't clear about how long it would take, etc. so we scheduled then had to come back another day, but I'd definitely recommend them and use them again. read more

Decided to do some car shopping and this was one of the closer Ford dealerships to where I live. First impression from the outside was that the dealership was small and dingy. I pulled into a parking spot and noticed two doors for the men's and women's bathrooms on the side of the building. Kinda reminds me of one of those shady gas stations in the boonies where you need a key to get into the bathrooms. Once I stepped into the building, I was greeted by a salesman and I told him I was interested in a Ford Fusion. He then led me outside to where those were and gave me a rundown of all the features. Eventually, I did get a test drive, local only, didn't get a chance to get on the highway. His reason was that I didn't need to go on the highway since I wasn't planning on buying the car anytime soon. Overall, the place had a dingy feel to it like they didn't have enough money to do renovations, which I think is definitely needed. I got a feeling that my salesman wasn't all that enthusiastic of having me there. I didn't get a feeling that I was a valued customer. He just seems tired and not really passionate about his job. I cannot say enough about the service department at University. My sons Ford Focus died in Garner a few days ago and towed with AAA to University Ford. They diagnosed the problem and found a faulty Transmission Module. The car has 147k on it and University and Ford warrantied part and labor. I could not make it back to shop before they closed so they hid key for me to pick up after hours. The team was courteous and continued to call me during the process. SO HAPPY WITH UNIVERSITY. I received an email from the pre-owned representative that the truck was "in the service shop" and could I wait until Friday? Well, Friday came and I received another e-mail that the truck had been sold "right out of the shop" and that I would be contacted to make an appointment to look at other vehicles. These folks charge double what other area Ford Dealers charge. I paid $70 for a routine oil change, fluid and tire rotation. I could have traveled down the road for the same thing at $39. They didn't even offer a car wash and vacuum for that exhorbitant fee. I called them again to inquire how much it would cost to replace an inside door handle and they quoted me $240 this time I DID go down the road to another Ford dealership and got it replaced for $112. Absolutely terrible dealership, DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE!!!! I bought a used 2015 Toyota 4 Runner Limited with 52,000 miles. Added 12k extended warranty offered by dealer. By early November (2 months after purchase), the transmission was messed up because the owner before was towing trailers, which University Ford NEVER mentioned until after I noticed problems. It took multiple visits by the extended warranty firm to acknowledge there was a problem. It is December 15, my car has finally been repaired and I cannot pick it up as the Ford ESP extended warranty company has not compensated the Toyota dealership which repaired the car. The car has been ready for 4 days and calls have been made daily by me to University Ford to look into status of the payment, update me, etc.....One of the most disappointing experiences I have ever experienced in my life!! read more

AMAZING dealership!!! Jason, Chris and Paul were so great to us. My fiancé went in yesterday to look at a 2014 Ford Focus. We had a terrible experience at a dealership in Raleigh so we went in pretty nervous. Chris was so honest with Lane, and was extremely knowledgable. Today we both went back in to see the car one more time before purchasing. We met Paul who was so down to earth and genuine. He let us drive it one more time just to make sure we loved it. We got back and he turned over our finances over to Jason and they worked quickly with the banks. About 20 min later we were signing the papers with Jason for the car! We got approved at a VERY low monthly payment and 5% interest! Jason was such a genuine guy and made it super fun to sign papers! These guys know what they are doing, and they take care of their customers they way they are supposed to. Also, major bonus: they filled the gas tank for us!! I know that's something small, but it really is the small things that earn people's business. They took time to go over to a gas station to fill it.... that says a lot!! Through the texts and emails she walked me through the credit application and told me when she found a car that fit my needs. The staff were very friendly and showed me several cars before I made the final decision. They also helped me out when I found a mechanical issue with the car. They helped me get to a repair shop and covered all of the costs and put me in a rental car while my car was being fixed. Hello, I have used this service department from time-to-time for some years to service our Ford Flex. Last Thursday, our car started to smoke, and we noticed that something had burst and was leaking. We took the car to the service department for an investigation. They quoted us over $4900 to repair the Water pump, and some other related things. In addition, they included 4 new tires, even though we had just purchased new tires 3 months ago, new brakes, and a complete tune-up. They stated that it would be $1800 (13 hours) to take the car apart to get to the water pump. They were clearly gouging us all they could. We towed our car to a reputable mechanic on Monday, May 7th, and they performed an investigation. The quote was $355 to repair our car. We just received the call that the mechanic had fixed the issue, and the bill is a little bit higher, and came to the total of $450 including labor. Had we went with University Ford in Chapel Hill, NC, we would have paid over 10 times that amount, and based on past experience of them correcting issues with our car such as the gas gauge, it probably wouldn't be fixed correctly. For anyone who needs to get anything other than an oil change and filter replacement, you may want to think about going to a reputable mechanic. read more

Couldn't find a phone number for their service department online, so I submitted a service appointment request through their website. Even though I listed my phone number as my preferred communication method, I received an email from someone I assume works in their service department (hard to be sure, since it was a personal email address and there was no contact information or professional title in the body or signature of the email.) After I replied via email to one of the proposed appointment times, I never heard back. I then submitted another online service request with the newly proposed time and date and never heard back from anyone again. Being a fairly new Mom , and realizing how impractical my convertible Ford Mustang was, I was on the hunt for a new vehicle. My husband convinced me that a minivan would be the way to go. Extremely disappointed with my service from University Ford. I dropped my Fleet vehicle off on 12/29 @ 1:45p for a diagnostic test. I was told the test would take roughly 45 mins. It wasn't until after store hours that I noticed that I had not received a call from Ford regarding the status of my vehicle. The following week I still had not heard anything so I called on 1/3 to check. I was informed by a customer service rep in the service dept. that she forgot to give me a call and that my car needed x amount of work. She shared that my car would be held an additional day. I didn't hear anything else the remainder of the week. It was a snow day on 1/4, but I still did not receive contact. I had to call again on 1/8 at 1pm to inquire about my vehicle. I was informed that it was ready and again that someone forgot to give me a call. This whole situation was an example of poor communication and customer service. I don't understand why I wasn't contacted on the status of my car and why I had to initiate both phone calls to receive information on my car. Ridiculous! I also get in my car and notice the air pressure light for my tires is on. My brakes were replaced, I believe it would have been common courtesy for the service dept to put a bit of air in my tires, considering I went for a full diagnostic test. Overall, extremely disappointed. If this location wasn't so close to my home, I would never return. read more
