It's a sports bar and a chain so set your expectations from there. There was nothing particularly bad about the restaurant itself. Nothing special. Their menus are accessed via your phone which is basically a QR code that takes you to their website. The food, I ordered 8 wings and fries. My friend ordered the hatch chili Mac & cheese. Their food was good. Mine wings were warm and the fries cold. Obviously the order had been up for a while before it was brought out. It was a Monday night and it wasn't busy. They replaced the fries with a hot order which was fine but honestly I don't see why it was so hard to get hot food. The men's restroom left a lot to be desired. After getting over the $67 bill for myself and my three boys, I realized that we did have a good meal. We ordered fried cheese balls that were delicious. Two of the three boys ordered wings and fries, and cleaned their plates. My youngest ordered chicken tenders from the kid's menu and they were huge; he was only able to eat one before he was satisfied. I had the pecan chicken salad with a blueberry pomegranate vinaigrette. The salad was basic, but a solid choice. The dressing wasn't as flavorful as I'd hoped for, but fortunately the chicken and the candied pecans were good enough to carry the salad. I also ordered a pina colada at the advising of the young waitress; I won't do that again. Overall, it was a good, and we definitely enjoyed ourselves. My friends and I stopped in for a quick bite... each ordering grilled chicken on a stick (only) and I got a side salad. When my salad came out there was over 2 tablespoons worth of water in the bowl. I'd like to start this off by saying we didn't eat here. We checked in on Yelp, showed up to the restaurant and upon witnessing the lack of adherence to COVID-protocol decided to walk out. My tots were so gross, they tasted like they were old and had been reheated, hubbys tots were ice cold inside. Like a lot of their food the issue has as much to do with texture as it does with taste. A BLT should be on crispy toast with fresh crispy lettuce and bacon strips. We decided to go to Anchor Bar after seeing it on Texas Eats. We've been there a few times since then, and we absolutely love their wings. They've got quite a variety of sauces, and we have tried the mango habanero, spicy garlic parmesan, honey siracha, honey bourbon bbq, and the extreme. They were all really good, but the spicy garlic parmesan and honey siracha are our absolute favorite. The spicy garlic parmesan has a light hint of spice to it with a nice garlic parmesan kick. The honey siracha is sweet with a light kick of spice at the end. I personally like the honey siracha the best out of both of the sauces. It's the perfect combination of sweet and spicy. We also get the mac and cheese balls appetizer, which is fried macaroni and cheese served with a side of ranch and a side of honey siracha sauce. They pair very well with the wings we get. We came here due to the good reviews on yelp. The prices seemed reasonable as well. We ordered the wing burgers. The beef burgers were small and thin (like frozen store bought pattys). There was barely an sauce on the burger and the onions on the burgers were a small pinch. They are charging $13.50 for a burger which is really just a frozen patty on a huge bun.
