It was a pretty warm day today. I was downtown and came into anchor coffee. Their orange cream iced coffee hit the spot with hints of vanilla and a nitro Brew. It was absolutely beautiful. The place was amazing and in an old factory building with high ceilings. They take their coffee seriously and I will seriously come back and try all of them!!

Very cool industrial coffee shop with great drink options and beer! It's located in the Bailey power plant park and has many food and drink places to check out. This place was packed and we were lucky to find a seat, you know that's always sign of a good business. The service was fine and the music is chill which is great for focusing on work or just hanging out. The interior is very spacious and minimal, they could use more seating especially how packed it gets. Very sad this place is not near where we live but we enjoyed our time spent here greatly, highly recommend!

I'm always on the lookout for a coffee shop to do my work. I've been following Anchor on social media for a while so I decided to check them out. They have a great location in the innovation Quarter. It was easy to find parking and they are located in the Bailey power plant. The space is large and they have plenty of tables. I had their spring tea drink, which was a blueberry London Fog. I like that it was a housemaid, blueberry syrup, and the drink was really tasty. They are dog friendly, and it looks like a great place to have a coffee with a friend. I will definitely check them out again and try more of their drinks.

Not your cozy kinda coffee shop... more workspace and industrial . That is the vibe In this area though. Great coffee menu with a variety of teas, and smoothies and beer on tap. They have food but not much variety on Monday morning. Most of their stuff looked like it was Camino. A local bakery. They advertise sandwiches but they didn't have any when we asked. They make them there apparently and didn't have any ingredients. Maybe should if they advertise it!! The coffees we got were great and nice and strong. My cappuccino was in a real cup which I always love. Signs of a coffee shop that knows coffee. Pretty presentation. My friends regular coffee also she liked a lot and also in a real mug. She got the mushroom quiche which was from Camino. They heat it up for you, and she really enjoyed it. I had just a plain bagel also from Camino, he toasted it for me. Nice and chewy . Didn't realize til after I'd paid $4 for the bagel. Kinda high for plain bagel I thought considering I didn't get any spread. Honestly this place is more for those working individuals or those looking to get something to go. It's a huge space but just not a place I'd go back to meet people. Probably works great in this innovative area though.

Anchor Coffee is a real cool spot, with an industrial vibe. It's located in the historic Bailey Power Plant right across from the park and fits right in with the rest of the city. They have music playing and the coffee (well cappuccino) is solid.

I am thrilled that Anchor Coffee Co. has opened their doors in the Bailey Power Plant! This is going to be a major highlight of downtown Winston. Anchor is currently in a soft opening phase and plans to open full-time later this fall. Currently you can grab a drink from 10AM to 1PM, Monday through Saturday. Everything about it thus far is amazing. The space is so thoughtfully designed, with a huge bar area complete with electrical outlets at every seat. This is a great study and work space. The indoor seating area is super spacious with tons of seating and a lounge area. I love the greenery, lighting, and industrial decor. It fits the Bailey Power Plant vibe so well. To make it even better, the coffee is incredible. Wow. Everything we've had so far has been top notch. The drip was the first thing I tried - delicious and roasty. Next up was a vanilla latte, also perfect. On our most recent visit, I got the honey cinnamon latte with almond milk and was so happy to see we could get it in a large mug to drink on site. It was AMAZING. Well spiced and not too sweet - absolutely perfect. The Barista's Choice, my husband's drink, is only prepared to be drank on site, which was no problem. This was really special. It was a shaken/iced orange and spice drink with heavy cream. We will probably mourn when this inevitably goes off the seasonal menu. It was that good. Eventually, I believe Anchor is going to bring in live music and also serve draft beer with evening hours, so it won't just be a coffee shop. How cool is that? It's going to be so nice to have a place in the area like this. Welcome, Anchor! Thanks for choosing downtown Winston as your next expansion!

I just love the industrial and coal pit vibe of all the stores in this area. Anchor coffee fits right in. Great ambiance and staff. I tried the seasonal candy cane (Peppermint dark Choc latte) and Husben had the vanilla latte. Great place to bring your laptop, pet, or take it for a downtown walk. Flavors were very good but I will say the lattes were not very strong, neither of us had a good caffeine buzz, maybe just one shot espresso? Anyway we'd totally come back making sure to get extra espresso and maybe try the sandwich menu!

Love the vibes right when you walk into Anchor coffee. The exposed walls and industrial vibes are perfect and cozy. My lavender latte was delicious however I did want more pastry/ snack options.

Such a cute coffee spot in Downtown Winston. I love how big and spacious the location is. It has a rustic yet modern vibe to it. The coffee and croissant was delicious. I will definitely be back.

Honey Cinnamon Latte ($5.00) and Ritual Mocha ($5.00)

INTRO: Anchor Coffee repurposes the vacant tobacco plant space and brings forth a venue that is not only inviting to students and families but also hip for young adults. This cafe serves both coffee and alcohol at affordable prices, which creates a dual atmosphere depending on the time of day. A cafe in the morning, a bar in the evening. What more can you ask for within a 10 second walk from Bailey Park? DRINK 1: Honey Cinnamon Latte ($5.00) - This drink does a superb job of combining both the honey and cinnamon flavors while not having one flavor overpower the other. This latte is guaranteed to warm your soul and give you a metaphoric hug on a cold winter morning. 8/10 DRINK 2: Ritual Mocha ($5.00) - I wasn't a fan of this drink. The chocolate was as strong or rich as I had anticipated and hoped. Quite underwhelming if you ask me. 5/10 WORTH IT? Maybe, it might be worth checking out if you're in the area and looking for a cafe to go to (6.5/10) *PLEASE NOTE: The music coming from their speakers are a bit loud, so make sure to bring earphones or earbuds if you plan on studying at this cafe.

One of the newest additions to Bailey Park! They serve both coffee and alcohol in a beautiful and simplistic modern interior design. Plenty of tables/chairs, lounge couch in the back, and bar with stools. They do have free wifi and you see the occasional student studying, but the music is much too loud for my preference. A better chit-chat cafe for me, my classmates and I have met here twice for group discussions. Customer service has always been great and friendly, and as always parking is a nightmare around Bailey Park but there are plenty of street parking nearby if you're unable to find parking directly at the park. We tried their honey cinnamon latte which has strong flavors of both honey and cinnamon that complement the earthy flavors of the coffee. Overall delicious. We also tried their ritual mocha which I LOVED, the chocolate was so rich and not overpowering of the coffee. Also not sickly sweet like many mochas are. My favorite drink of the two. I hope to come back to try more of their coffee drinks (especially with their seasonal rotations) and potentially alcoholic beverages!

The ambiance in this place is absolutely amazing. Has a very industrial vibe. Right in the Bailey Park area in downtown Winston-Salem. There arent a lot of bakery items. The thing that bothers me the most about all the new coffee shops is everybody keeps using caminos bakery because they offer wholesale pricing. However, their food is very overrated. The cortado was nice and smooth. Absolutely no complaints there. I can see how this place would need to keep bands and things like that on the weekends and the week nights and charge to keep this place afloat. The service here is definitely not the friendliest. The girl that was running the register was not the nicest. The guy that pulled the espresso had a little bit more life and personality than the girl that took the order . Would be nice to see if somebody could actually access some baked goods from somebody other than Camino. I probably would only get a espresso here if I happened to be in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come back, simply because there wasn't more than the espresso to offer. I'd say more grab and go kind of place unless you're there for the late night bands

I really loved this coffee shop in downtown Winston - it had a great atmosphere that was inviting to all (young, old, families, students, etc.). They have a rotating seasonal drink menu and their standard menu to choose from. The baristas were incredibly friendly and helpful. I originally wanted the Strawberry Fields Affogato but the barista informed me it was for dine in only and asked if that was ok, I told him I needed it to go because I was meeting people in the park - he immediately started recommending other popular items and even offered to let me taste the nitro cold brew they had on tap! I decided on a Honey Cinnamon Latte that he said was extremely popular. I did end up going back for the Strawberry Fields Affogato as well because I just really needed to try it. Drink #1: Honey Cinnamon Latte - WOW I can see why this is one of the most popular coffees they sell! The honey and cinnamon were perfectly balanced and one didn't overpower the other. It was a warm and inviting drink that left you contemplating a second...and possibly third. The temperature was perfect, nice and hot but able to drink it right away. I also live the thoughtful presentation on to go coffees - they serve it with the lid off so you can see how pretty they made the milk foam and you can grab your own lid. "Drink" #2: Strawberry Fields Affogato - this is basically a large shot glass with espresso topped ice cream, a strawberry whip (they make it in house), and a freeze dried strawberry. This was good but not my personal favorite. I wanted more strawberry flavor from the whip and I think a fresh strawberry would have been better on top. The espresso and ice cream was very refreshing though and had excellent flavor.

I always found the products or customer service lacking... until now. I was turned on to a unique place called Winston HEMP Company in North Carolina. Https://www.winstonhempcompany.com THIS PLACE IS OUTSTANDING! What makes them different is they care and their IN HOUSE PRODUCED CBD products (Organic!) Are out of this world! They are unique in that they have a PHYSICAL LOCATION, a COFFEE SHOP, offering CBD, hemp products including Cannabidiol tinctures, oils, loations, soaps, gummys and more. The coffee shop is AWESOME! Free WIFI, and a comfortable place you can enjoy a coffee or tea (I like the blends, and the fact their coffee and tea are "Free Trade") and you can socialize in an atmosphere of compassion. No need to feel rushed, sit and stay a while. I really liked that! I found the Goat Milk And Honey CBD lotion especially helpful great for my pain relief. I like the unscented, but you can get it with organic essential oils. 4oz cost me around 20$. I also REALLY like the CBD Soap, lemon grass and Nashi pear, 100mg CBD in a 4oz bar. I have not tried everything, but between these two and a smattering of other things..(Lip balm included) I'm sold. Shipping was SUPER fast and ordering online was easy. They have a REAL person answering the phone and I liked the fact they don't push you into buying stuff you don't need BUT are knowledgeable and will guide you. I didn't know ANYTHING about hemp, CBD etc until now. My pain relief is REAL! I highly recommend Winston HEMP Company. I went away very satisfied, like I made new friends! Kept it simple--nitro cold brew and an iced Bear Claw with almond milk. First off, that nitro was clean as hell. Smooth, no bitterness, and the fact that it's naturally sugar-free without sacrificing flavor? That's a win all day. The Bear Claw was solid too--nice balance with the almond milk, not overly sweet, just easy to enjoy. And one thing I really respect--their whipped cream is always sugar-free. That's huge for me living a sugar-free lifestyle, and it shows they actually think about their customers. Best part though, out of nowhere, both the barista and I looked up and boom... line out the door. We kind of just looked at each other like "well damn," and honestly, good for them. That's what happens when you're doing things right. Even with the rush, everybody kept a great attitude. Customers, staff; just good people all around. That small-town Burlington feel is real here. Folks talking, connecting, or just chilling on the couch doing their own thing--no pressure, no weird energy, just a genuinely cool environment. And this place actually feels welcoming. Not that forced "too cool" coffee shop vibe you sometimes get. Just real people, treating you like a normal human being. That goes a long way. Also worth calling out... So their rewards program is legit. You get 10 points for every dollar you spend, and it adds up fast. I've already built up enough where I could knock about half off my bill if I wanted to. That's real value, not just marketing fluff. It's got that perfect mix of small-town vibe with modern convenience, and I really hope that never changes. This has been a consistently solid spot for me, and I'll keep coming back!

I've been to Salvation many times, and it used to be one of my top-recommended coffee shops in Burlington, NC. Unfortunately, not anymore. Customer service during my recent visits has been disappointing. The baristas often made me feel like an inconvenience rather than a customer. While there was one occasion when the person at the register was kind and welcoming. My most recent visit was the day after Christmas when I met up with my siblings, and the experience was especially unpleasant. The atmosphere was unwelcoming, customer service was poor, and the coffee itself was underwhelming. The espresso in my latte was barely noticeable. Worst of all, the music was extremely loud and filled with constant profanity, to the point that we felt uncomfortable staying inside and had to leave to meet outside instead.
