Great food! Had to stop and try the crab poppers, soft shell crab and kickin shrimp Po boy. All was excellent!

This place is a great little place to eat along the side of the road. Their kickn shrimp poboy is amazing, definitely gonna go back with the family next time we're down in that neck of the woods. You could definitely taste the freshness in the seafood, didn't have to wait long for the order and there was ample seating. While the portion was somewhat small, definitely makes up for it in the flavor of each bite.

This was a tasty and fun stop along our scenic drive. From all the good reviews I saw on yelp I decided to stop, glad we did! It was hot and fresh, the fish had a really nice light batter. Thanks for the excellent food!

we stopped for lunch here today as we traveled the Creole Nature Trail. Had the shrimp basket and kicken shrimp po-boy with onion rings. Food was hot and tasted great. Very friendly service. Don't let looks deceive you. Highly recommend it.

We took the creole nature trail from Texas through Louisiana and Anchors Up was along the trail. The building itself didn't look like much but the food was great and the staff were super friendly. We felt very welcome here and like we were part of the family. My father had the burger and he was very impressed, I had the BLT it was loaded with bacon, my husband had the po boy shrimp sandwich which was full of flavor, my daughter and picky eater had chicken tenders she ate every last one. It was a great stop on our vacation from Indiana through Louisiana.

Shrimp was so delicious and fresh. Great spot! Takes a bit of time, but it was worth the wait.

I grabbed a couple of piping hot crawfish pies, not because I like crawfish pie, but because I would love to find one that was as good as it sounds. The search continues. While the pie crust was superb, and price was very reasonable, filling was skimpy. Given that I'm not a huge fan of crawfish, perhaps the hint of filling was better.

This place has been here for a while and they just want to serve a good meal with no frills. They'll promptly greet you when you walk in the door. Take a seat and make your pick off the menu. We opted to share the chicken fried steak with mash potatoes & green beans. Portions were plentiful and they were kind enough to split the portions in the kitchen before serving so we each got our own plate full of deliciousness. These are real homemade sides, nothing out of a can! The green beans were soft and flavorful and the mashed taters were fluffy and thick that would stick to the ceiling if you tossed them up! Lol! Try the cracklins! OMG! Fresh made to order! Buy by the lb of specific dollar amount. Overall a delicious food experience. We will definitely be stopping in again when in the area. Don't be put off by the location (it's next to a small casino), you'll be glad you stopped in!

The hours have expanded I'm pleased to report and the food is just as good as it ever was. Some employees are not here anymore and they probably retired but the ladies working here work very hard to make sure the customers are always full. The circus posters on the walls, the period dresses the servers wear, and the table cloths and curtains add a note of nostalgia and send you back to a simpler time. Keep up the great work and I will keep coming. I drive 80 miles to get here and have been for 20 years. So I definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Well the first round they bring out is a whole chicken (tasted just like Brookeshire's chicken) then they asked exactly how many pieces you want after that. Mind you we had a full table of people so we needed another plate but it felt as if we had a limit. The greens are from a can. The chicken and dumplings are made from leftover chicken the day or so before. Also you have to get your own drinks and clear your own table. It's a neat experience for travelers but as a local it's a one time deal.
