We had scheduled a 2 month trip from CA up to Canada and Andersen's RV park was on our list of places to stop at. We made our reservations well in advance. Guess what along with many of other campers including full timers we have had to cancel our reservations do to the COVID- 19 that threatens all of us including the high risk seniors which I am part of. I have been in self containment on for almost a week so that i can be alive for my grandchildren. In the process I have had to cancel reservations from CA up to Canada and some include KOA's and private campgrounds I have found all waving their fees except Andersen's. As Washington state is one of the highest hit for this COVID-19 I would of thought that they would of made an exception with this problem. But NO!! I got all my the fees back. I am truly disappointed with this decision. We plan on doing our trip again unfortunately, we won't be staying here there are plenty of beautiful places to camp in Washington state and I am sure I will be just as happy at one of those. Truly disappointed with Anderson's decision not to refund our full amount. read more

We just spent 4, No 5 days at Anderson's! It was wonderful, clean and lovely Campground, with all the backs of the trailers phased out into a nice green space. We spent the Fourth of July here, it was absolutely astounding. Both Ocean Shores and Long Beach have fireworks, but it seems everybody in this neck of the woods but thousands of dollars worth of fireworks and shot them all off from the beach. We did not have to go to town, it was the self-enclosed vacation Fourth of July Wonderland. Love the Andersons folks, they were great to us, full of information and just delightful. read more

I have sooooo much to say about this place, I don't even know where to start! First, it is so beautiful, peaceful and free of stress, I could move here at the drop of a hat and never look back! ( And I live in California!) This is my second visit and both times I stayed in a cottage. Seeing as how I am on vacation and really just in there to sleep, it goes above and beyond expectations. There is a kitchen with an oven/stove, fridge, and sink. Score! Couch and a smart t.v. with wi-fi and streaming access included. However, you're AT THE BEACH! why are you doing anything but listening to the waves!?!? ;) Two bedrooms, a bathroom and the beds are super comfy! ( Did I mention I have a really bad back, so a good bed is hard to find!) I spent most of my days walking the beach, or in the forest around the rv park, but slipped in to town a few times. While, for the most part, I cooked most of my meals in the cabin, I did eat a few in town. This can be a bit tricky if you aren't used to VERY small town life. Things aren't open every day or very late, so be vigilant in checking hours of operation. My personal favorite is Galletti's. ( See my review on their page) There are a slew of touristy shops, an arcade, a putt-putt golf and a go-kart place, a carousel and some cool little things to look at. Like a giant, squirting clam and giant frying pan. The office at the park has most of the items you forgot at home, or think of at the last minute. They also have fire pits to rent and wood to buy. The owners are super rad and friendly. They are willing to help out with any questions you have and are knowledgeable about local points of interest and cool places to go hiking. I will definitely be back many years to come :D. read more

With 3 months advanced noticed, I asked to either change or cancel my reservation. My National Guard orders changed and impacted my schedule to keep my reservation. I was not given the option to reschedule, and in canceling my reservation, they kept the 1st nights fee ($70). When I questioned why their policy would keep my 1st night fee and still rent that space out to someone else (remember 3 months notice) they sited their unethical policy and accused me of bullying them. Before you book here do yourself the favor of asking about their (Non) refund policy. It is by far the strictest I have ever seen in the "hospitality" industry. If your RV vacation is at all fluid and subject to change, do NOT book and pay ahead here or you can kiss your funds goodbye. The host is one of the most unfriendly, and sarcastic people we've had to deal with in 7 years of camping. If a dusty gravel parking lot is your idea of camping, and staying about 8 feet from the camper next to you...then this may be your place. Would not recommend staying here at all unless ownership changes. read more

OK so we stayed here last year for Rod Run and it was a great quiet place, this year I have to say got very little sleep on Saturday nite due to someone very, very loud music going on intermittently throughout the nite until 6am. It was disappointing that the management did not do anything about it. May find somewhere else next year due to the lack of management around. Otherwise it is close to the beach and has very clean facilities, even someone to help you back your trailer in! Andersen's got back to me about the music and stated that it was coming from a rental down the street and they made every effort to get it stopped, called police and contacted rental agency. Please, think twice before contacting these people! They had changed hands since we had stayed there last, but we had no reason to be concerned.This spring we paid in full for reservations for three nights in September. Due to health issues, we cancelled our reservation this summer. The woman that answered the phone told us it was well within the cancellation timeframe and that the bookkeeper would put the refund amount minus a $25 cancellation fee back on our credit card. We even had a friend lined up that took our spot which means they didn't lose any revenue. We waited and watched our account for two weeks, then called. The same woman answered the phone, this time annoyed and indifferent and told me the manager would call us back that day. Six weeks and four un-returned phone calls later, still no refund. Last month we had an attorney draw up a letter requesting the refund. Unfortunately, they know it isn't worth taking someone out of state to small claims court for $145, so we are out the money. It IS worth taking my time though to warn fellow RV'ers to stay clear of Andersen's RV Park. Apparently integrity and honesty are not values carried over with the new ownership. read more

I'll start with the good. The place is clean, although it is October and only 8 to 10 rigs are here. When we arrived the male owner followed us to our site and chatted for a few minutes. He seemed nice enough. On the 4th day we had decided to stay one more night, so my husband went to the office to pay. The lady proceeded to tell him that she'd seen us walk our dogs in the bushes (dune grass) without a poop bag. Keep in mind that the office is no less than 50 yards from where we had been, not to mention the bag I had was in my pocket and my dog hadn't pooped. Then she told my husband that she'd had to clean up dog pee out of the restroom. His response was "wasn't one of ours, we've never been in the restroom." She said it again! And he said "still not our dogs" I love my husband, God help me I do, but he actually paid for another night here after she'd accused us of letting our dogs pee in her restroom. Needless to say, it would have turned out very differently had I been there. read more

Having been to Andersen's some 20 years ago, we wanted to go back. The location is beautiful and near the ocean. We have a senior, arthritic dog so we're very discerning on where we go. The site showed this RV park as being very, very pet friendly; treats and all. This location is definitely not Pet Friendly so if you're thinking of going; make sure you understand that the sites is very packed in, we literally had a 4 person picnic table and 3' on each side, that's it. We couldn't put up any shade, no pen to put a shade cloth on and our dogs were literally having to go under the camper to get out of the sun; the 12 year old is a huge golden, he didn't even fit. BUYER BEWARE. They proudly boast that they've not answered their phones for over a year. The mobile site says nothing about any pet rules or pens, etc. (they're not allowed nor is any tent, pop up canopy, etc.) AND the paperwork confirming your reservation with the rules on it are preempted when you arrive with "more rules" and at that point, you can't cancel as they have a 7 day policy. Please check further reviews as this bait and switch tactic is mentioned several times. read more

The Hubs and I decided to take the mobile estate out for the Memorial Day holiday weekend. We found Andersen's on line back in March and made the reservations easily. Being kind of skeptical because we didn't know Long Beach, hadn't talked to anyone who had stayed there , and sometimes websites make it look better then it is. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Located about 3 miles out of Long Beach this is a nice little RV Park. The staff is very nice and helpful. Even after we arrived late in the evening after the office had closed. They handed out maps with places to eat and things to do. Asked what we would like to do during our stay and gave suggestions. Which is great when you haven't been in the town before. The park is very nice, clean, well maintained, dog friendly and best of all the beach was a short walk down a well marked path. This RV Park is reasonably priced for full hook ups, wi-fi, showers, laundry, and cable hook up. Quite and well organized. We would definitely return. The only complaint we had is that the spaces are close together, there is NO privacy between spaces. We actually had to move our picnic table so the people next to us could put their slide out all the way out. We found this to be the case in most of the RV parks in Long Beach. All and all it was a great experience and we will return. Dog Friendly Note****** There was a somewhat aggressive dog in the park, that was making other campers uncomfortable with his barking ,growling and lunging on his leash at everything that walked by. The owners were asked to leave. I felt bad for the owners of the dog but was happy that the park took care of the problem for every ones safety. This RV park is not worth the $50 a night. Sites are right on top of each other and are only back in. This park charges the total charge up front and if you have a reservation change you have to fight tooth and nail to get them to refund your money. I would not stay here again. read more

We stayed here for 2 night with our family in 2 spots next to each other. It was really close to the beach and a great place. The showers are really clean and they people that own and work there are very friendly. We rented a fire pit for 2 nights from them which was great. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is if you didn't know the people on either side of you the spots are a bit small and it is not walking distance to Long Beach downtown. read more

I've stayed at this RV park twice... and it is a pleasant, clean park. Ambiance is pretty low... the 'campsites' are positioned along two sides of a huge rectangle of gravel. Sites are designated by buried pressure-treated 4x4s. The sites are all pretty close together. The awning of my neighbor (left side) nearly reached my small RV. The restrooms and showers were old, but (even at the end of a Holiday Weekend) were spotless and well maintained. Of course, the biggest advantage of Andersen's is that the 'camping" area links directly to the beach a modest distance through the dunes on a well-trod trail. While I rate the ambience as "low" ... compared to the other RV parks in the general area, this one is better than most and no worse than any of the others. (I've stayed at other RV parks in the area.) The staff was pleasant and the whole park is kept up. There are no long-term residents (other than the "work campers" who are located at the entrance tot he RV park outside the main campground area. I have stayed here before and will stay again. Amenities include wi-fi (that works!) and cable TV. read more

Let me start by saying the owners are great and they are trying hard to maintain a nice, clean park but.....this place just isn't for me. The sights are way to close together and consists of just gravel and bark chips. There's no shrubs or trees for privacy. The rate seems alittle high for the place but maybe it's typical for Longbeach. I doubt if we'll be back. read more

This was a very well-run RV park that is located right on the Pacific Ocean. The management is fantastic and helpful. They are always around if you need something. It is a beautiful area and one of the best RV places to stay in the Long Beach area. The only drawback is that the RV spots are pretty close together for my liking. They are far enough for slides outs but parking can be a challenging. Overall, an excellent place to stay. read more

Not happy campers at Andersen's RV!! New owner was rude and every instance of interaction with him was negative. On day 2, without looking, he told us our sewer blockage was our fault. We had to practically beg to get him to look at it. The end result, it was their blockage. No apologies but lots of threats of what would happen if waste spilled out!! Our dog got out for a moment and the owner happened to be passing and told us to (in a nasty voice) to get him on a leash and clean up his mess. Of course we did immediately as we had done throughout our visit. We also picked up other dogs waste - we are responsible dog owners and campers. We will never be back because of the new owner and camping there is like camping in a parking lot. No privacy at all - no trees. Ocean is short walk but we will never go back to Andersen's. read more

The best place we have stayed. The new owners were fabulous and treated us so well. We went to a lunar eclipse party and mingled with the owners and other guests. The area abounds with wildlife. Saw an eagle on the beach. The sites are clean as are the amenities. This place rocks and we will return to enjoy the beachside natural beauty. read more

This was not a good experience! Park was recently sold to NEW OWNERS! Older Man the new owner was rude, unfriendly and didn't care whether you came back of not. Must be nice to own a business and have absolutely no Customer Service skills. Extremely small space. So small that they had to guide your RV in the space! So close that my slide out almost touched the next door neighbors Children size picnic table which is the standard in the park ! NO privacy, if a person sneezed you felt obligated to say Bless you! There is a small patch of grass that had stickers you couldn't walk on or your pets. I will never go back and would not recommend to anyone! read more

We stayed here for Independence Day. July fourth on long beach is amazing! The folks that own this place are doing a great job. As with any rv park; things can be nicer, improved, or laid out differently. The whole time we have been here, the owners are friendly and seemingly working constantly to improve this place. Anderson's RV Park was very quick to respond to our complaint and compensated us satisfactorily. We recommend them highly.

We have been here many times. It is kept very clean and is close to the town of Long Beach. The employees or owners are very friendly and helpful. While it is true that you really cannot see the ocean from your site it is still Oceanside and does front the ocean. They do not claim that you can see the ocean. All you have to do is read the description. It is a very short walk to the beach from the sites, really only takes 2-3 minutes to get there so not sure why the complaints about the distance. You can hear the ocean all day long and it lulls you to sleep. There is a bus that runs right in front of the park that will take you into the nearby towns so if you did not bring a tow car you can still get around easily. The only cons are the sites are so tiny you are literally on top of the site next to you if you put your slides out and the other peoples sewer lines are in your site. We will be back read more

Not a bad location. A little.false.advertising though. They claim.to be "so close to the ocean", but you cannot even see the ocean. It is along hike to even get there. Rates are kinda shady too. They offer 3 different types of RV spots at different rates but everything is in the same place in a line from front to back. No differentiation. Between oceanside, forest or standard view. Cabins are touted with a "view" but are in the front of the Park by the office. They nickel and dime you for everything too. Kinda like Spirit airlines! Worst of all. Having lived in Long Beach for several years we find this a convenient place to stay when coming back to visit friends. The park is well cared for and the people who work/own the park are very nice. Our one complaint is that the spaces are so close together. The last time we stayed our neighbors set up their fire pit and chairs under our bedroom slideout....not their fault, just no other place. It would be really nice if when the park is not full they would leave a space between RVs....there were several empty spaces on the opposite side after the weekend but newcomers always seemed to be put right next to us. If you camp in the off season and want to go to the beach this is a great park. read more

We won't be back. It was good when we've stayed here before, but the new owners aren't interested in offering amenities any more. First thing they did was jack up the price. Then they canceled the free cable TV. Now they also charge an additional $10 per night if you want to use a portable fire pit. And if you bring your dog, that's going to cost you now too. We have been coming to Andersen's every year for the last six years. We have always made our reservations for the next year when leaving the park. Unfortunately this is our last year we will be going to the park. Its location is excellent near Ocean Park, Long Beach and the beach. There are new owners they have significantly raised there rates. Past years discount rates were offered for extended stays, up to 6 persons per site with no additional charge. This years tents are no longer allowed, you pay for each additional person over two. In our case we had to pay for our Daughter, Son-in-law, grand children and even for our 9 month grand child. The total was 6 people the additional change was $150.00. There was an improvement to the children's playground however the bathrooms and showers were never cleaned. The same old band aids, dead slugs, old bars of soap, and sand remained in the bathroom and showers the entire week of our stays. I did see where the bathrooms was sweep on the 4 days and new toilet paper was installed. I was also disappointed with all the flowers, they used to have a beautiful flower garden, it was not maintain and the flower pots had old dead flowers in them. I am sorry to say this will be last visit. The rates approached a $100 a day. and it is my understanding they will be even higher next year. read more
