Empty lot. "Didn't want to disturb other campers."

This is my first YELP review. That tells you a lot. Atrocious customer service! READ ALL THE WAY TO THE BOTTOM! We visited this place in the spring. We were coming from the Canadian border and it is very difficult to judge traffic. We left in plenty of time under normal circumstances. Unfortunately, we ran into issues on I5 and I called and left messages and emails to continually update them. No response. We pulled in around 10pm exhausted. I knocked on the office and was "greeted" by a very upset man. I apologized and told them of our circumstances and our repeated attempts to contact them. He said he would "allow" us to come in but wouldn't allow us to enter our prepaid spot because he didn't want to disturb the other campers. I was totally fine with that because of course I didn't want to disturb anyone. So we pulled up and boondocked for the night (no electricity or septic). Even though we paid for their premium site (there is only two). Imagine my surprise when we woke up and saw that 1. There was only 1 other camper on the 50 plus sites available clear at the opposite side of the "parking lot" style grounds. 2. We were literally 30 feet from a full hook-up site on the other end that he could have put us in for the night. Oh well. I bit my tongue and at 11am we moved into our paid for site. We were one of three people the whole time we were there. No issues the rest of the time. Being that we were wanting to come down for the Rod Run a few months away and it very difficult to find a place that late in the year I went against my better judgment and rebooked with them. (MY BAD!!)I had a HUGE lapse in judgment! So not wanting to arrive late and knowing it was going to be a very busy weekend we left our home at 4:45 am! We got there around 11am. Super happy to have had no issues on the way down with traffic. I went into the office and told them we are here to check in. She said, "Great, Go have lunch and come back at one to check in. I asked if we could check in early and was told no. I was a little frustrated because we can't just drive our motorhome and tow around and go have lunch. The roads are packed with people and cars! I asked if we could park the MH (lots of space to do that up by the office) and come back to check in. Nope! That's when I said, "You have horrible customer service. Travelers are coming across the state and it's hard to judge arrivals. You also refuse to answer any phone calls or emails which again is horrible!" I didn't yell. Did not cuss. Just told her I was very unhappy with their policies and they were very unfriendly. That's when she told me "I will take care of that!" I asked her what she meant and she said "I am canceling your reservation and refunding your money." Normally I would be fine with that because I have no desire to give them my service. But! We just traveled over 6 hours.", nothing is available during ROD RUN and we have NO where to stay. She knew this. I BEGGED her to change her mind. "It's fine. I'll deal with it. We will come back." I said. Nope she smirked and refused to allow us to stay. She walked pass me and went to get the information off our vehicle. I was aghast. All this simply for saying I disagreed with their policies! So I told her I was calling the police. Oh she went ballistic and while I was on the phone was screaming across the parking lot and even the cop could hear her. Needless to say "it's private property" and the cop just advised us to leave. We did. We went to Lighthouse resort where my daughter was staying and explained what happened. They felt horrible and immediately two of their staff got in their phones and found one campground with full hook ups and one spot left! Imagine our surprise (NOT!) when we found out we were the second to show up there because they also were kicked out of Anderson's too! This is all a power trip for them. She stated that other places don't allow early arrivals. That is NOT the case! Lighthouse and Chautauqua BOTH allowed early arrivals! And those are motels with rooms not a PARKING space. Save yourself a major headache and don't go there.

I have stayed in cottage B and the studio...both are very comfortable! I love the king bed in the studio, and that the bedroom is dark. The patio is awesome to just lounge, get a sneak peek of the ocean, and enjoy the propane fire. Cottage B is great as it has two bedrooms, and a nice porches on the front and back of the house. Both have great kitchens to prepare meals, if you prefer. Easy access to the beach, laundry on site, and the hosts/owners are very friendly and very helpful! Each place was very clean, quiet at night, and check in was a breeze. I will be returning. Thank you Miles, Katharine, and to your camp hosts for everything! I had a great time!

We have so enjoyed our stay here.Truely quiet peaceful and so easy to walk and enjoy the beach!! My only request as a dog owner would be a place to dispose of the pup droppings on our way off the beach at the trailhead. That would be convenient!! Super friendly staff you can for 10 rent a wood burning enclosed fire pit, we have a propane one but it was nice to have that option. SUPER GREAT WE WILL BE BACK.

Neat & clean and very close to the beach!

We really enjoyed our stay here and found the owners to be very warm and friendly. This resort is very close to the beach and although you cannot see it, the beach is a 2-3 min.walk over the grassy dune from your camper. This RV park is very clean and feels safe and secure with a gated entrance. The views from your camper are of green grassy fields and some pine trees which was nice. The hook ups all worked perfectly and the Wi Fi reception was excellent . We were early in the season so had allot of peace & quiet. It is the best looking RV park at Long Beach and we looked a few of them before deciding on this one. I recommend this park and would certainly return next time we are in Long Beach. Thank you to the owners to maintain this nice park!

Packed in tight! This is our family that both the motorhome and camper were supposed to have separate spots near the beach.

Birds, eagles, and some squirrels greet you every day here. Deer even roam through the park from time to time. The park's grounds are constantly in upkeep mode, so it's clean and well groomed any time for visitors. Its location on the peninsula is right in the middle of everything. Stores are short distances away in either direction, gas is right around the corner, in either direction, and Ilwaco is a short drive away for fish markets, picturesque views, and a walk back in time for that quaint feel. If you're into Rod Run, this park is constantly full during that time because it's directly in the middle of all the action! make sure to book well in advance because they fill up quickly here; even though there are many spaces available! Because the contract for cable in the park went through the roof on costs, if you've visited here in the past, or are thinking about coming for the first time, keep in mind the cable is gone. If you love clams, the Long Beach razor clams are to die for; they're huge and super meaty, and freely available to pluck right out of the sand just a short walk down the path. Check digging schedules before you go down there though! This is a really quiet and secluded park, so if you're wanting to get away from it all, this is the place!

It was in the low 60's but the pool was still great, used both days we were there. For a RV place it was nice and had trees in some spots. The spots are close together. About 5' of grass btw each spot. There are some spots with large grass areas, I imagine those are the premium spots. Reservations are best made by calling and leaving a message. Annie is very nice and a great host while there. Beach walk isn't too long, hose off area back at camp entrance.

You're close to the ocean, surrounded by trees, and there's this constant sense of spaciousness that lets your mind open up. It creates the perfect conditions for artists to think, feel, and make work. What makes Arts Week truly special, though, is the people. The group of artists is diverse, thoughtful, and deeply engaged. You're in conversation all day long, whether that's over shared meals, spontaneous collaborations, or late night talks that somehow become the most meaningful part of the experience. It's rare to find a space where people show up this open and this willing to connect. The programming strikes a great balance. There's structure when you want it, like readings, performances, and workshops, but also plenty of unstructured time to follow your own creative instincts. There's also a real sense of care built into the week. The staff and organizers are thoughtful and attentive, and you can feel that they want everyone there to succeed!

We thought it looked like a fun place to stay considering we love all things vintage and staying in a vintage RV sounded like the kind of nostalgia we would appreciate. A few months pass and we decided to book a 3 night trip for our 12th wedding anniversary. We arrived on Saturday afternoon right at check in and we found the staff friendly and attentive. After check in we drove down to our camp site. They leave the doors unlocked after check out/"cleaning" so the key was sitting in the unit. This also means anyone can come into your unit before you even check in. The outside of the RV was, as expected, worn down but that's a part of the charm. Upon entering, we were hit with the smell of mildew/mold and a extremely warm trailer due to the heater being left on and it being late June. We turned off the heater and attempted to open up the windows, but alas they were'nt all fuctioning. Our 3 dogs couldnt even be in the unit without over heating so we set up their playpen outside. Half the flooring was either peeling up or gone all together. The walls had'nt been cleaned and had a film on them. The seating area did'nt fold down into additional bedding (another broken item), the toilet was dirty and still had urine on it and the bathroon walls were peeling. We weren't looking for a 5 star hotel but for the price we were paying per night we expected more. We settled in for the evening and tried to make the most of it and chalk it up to a new experience. The next day, after waking up and taking the dogs for a walk to the beach we decided to relax at the campsite and decided we could set up out tent (other camp sites had tents on them) to add additional living space. As we were lying out the tent in our area a woman approached us. She didn't introduce herself just started making comments about the tent, and the dogs, and the playpen. Again, no introduction, no pleasantries, just came in HOT. My husband tried to deescalate the conversation however the woman kept interrupting him and talking over him. He reached out his hand to introduce himself and thats when she finally paused and offered her name, Mary. She let us know if we wanted to put up a tent we would need to pay an additional $35.00. We explained to her we weren't expecting additional guests and that the tent was meerely for additional outdoor space. Again, she was coming in hot like we were trying to pull a fast one over on her. I explained that no where was I told tents were additional. I was not paying them any additional money due to the price we already paid and the comfort of the unit. Mary contiously spoke to my husband ignoring me all together. She was telling him what to do and how to do it and she came off extremely aggressive. We said we would speak to management and that's when Mary let us know she was the manager but was off duty so we could take it up with another manager. My husband is a POC and Mary presented as white and while the lodging advertised itself as diverse and inclusive we did not have that experience with Mary. My husband asked Mary for some space and it took asking several repeated times for her to finally leave. After she left, we decided this was not a place for us to stay. My husband started packing and I went to let reception know what had happened and that we were checking out. The staff at reception was very accommodating. I told them what had happened and they were confused as to why a tent would be such an issue with Mary. They tried offering additional things for us to stay and I refused. They asked if I wanted to speak to Mary again, and I said no. I did not want to speak to her ever again. The staff said they would talk it over with a manager but I let them know we were definitely leaving. We drove the 2 hours home. On our anniversary with cancelled dinner reservations and hurt in our hearts. Do better. Understand how you come across as a person of privilege when speaking down to a POC. I hope this is a learning experience for Mary. I checked my email today and she refunded our entire amount.
