We saw their three course menu for only 25 pounds; it even came with a glass of wine! We made a reservation and took the tube over. Unfortunately, there wasn't really a direct bus line that brought us there and had to walk about 15 minutes. However, the view was amazing as we walked along with a beautiful view of the London Bridge. The restaurant was in almost the furthest corner of the whole line. When we arrived, I told the staff I had made a reservation, but they looked at me very confused. The host finally came and seated us. It wasn't busy so it was fine, but my group still felt like confused why they acted the way they did. Anyways, this place has a beautiful view of the skyline and bridge so it was very lovely. We ordered the chicken terrine, cauliflower soup, and mackerel, risotto and sea bream, and the rice pudding and orange sorbet. For the wine, we were just given the option of red or white. The food was amazing. We were super impressed and happy that we were able to do such a meal without hurting our wallets. When we came to pay, I had put some of my coin pounds in hopes to get rid of them, but received even more coins! It seemed that the host didn't have any single pounds and it was pretty cumbersome. I think that the food here was great and amazing, with a beautiful view. However, service was a bit unwelcoming and made us feel uncomfortable. I would come back again for the set menu though.

Definately recommend.

It is easy to be unaware that the London Bridge Rail Station crowds are only 200m away. Visible in the open kitchen, the chefs have ditched the traditional toques for t-shirts with less-than-discrete double Michelin stars embroidered on the sleeve. The servers were excellent, as was the food. I enjoyed the flavors of the grilled mackerel and the Cornish plaice (a flat fish) with crab. The presentation seemed a bit more on the 'one-pot-stew' side, with jumbled ingredients, each fighting to be seen, especially the plaice. But I enjoyed myself, and will return soon. 2025 08 30. Then had the crudo which was super bright and seemed a bit uncoordinated. Broccoli was bland... no anchovy flavor.. just nuts but the fish special was excellent. Coating was delicious, sauce flavorful and everything went together perfectly. Weird situation with wine. Never could find a wine that was what I was looking for. The server was super helpful but ultimately unsuccessful. Also, if you have a £9 rioja on the menu but don't recommend it please take it off. Honestly, a little disappointing for the price.

Another beautiful find, this one requires a shout-out to a gluten intolerant friend of mine (big up…read morethe allergies!) We were meeting up as a group of 5 old uni friend and were looking for suitable places somewhere fairly central. We hit upon this little gem that does 50% off food Monday - Friday 7pm - 9:45pm. WIN And they said they could cater for all diets so we went along. This little underground bar & restaurant seats maximum 50 people and was nicely full (we made a reservation just to be sure) on a Tuesday night, so that's a good sign to start with! Really friendly staff who were so helpful about the allergies and generally recommending dishes to us, you can't fault the service here. Based down the road from the Monument, we rocked surrounded by city workers in full suits heading for the nearest pub (I suppose their jobs must be pretty stressful!). We sat down to bread and oil/ balsamic vinegar, always a nice touch whe you don't have to ask for that. They unfortauntely had just run out of gluten-free bread, shame. We had a couple of bottle of wines, sampling the red and white varieties. I'm normally a white drinker, but I actually preferred the red this time, very mellow and soft (the white was a touch more tart). You have to have at least 2 courses to get the deal of 50% off so we opted for starter & main, thinking that the pudding stomach would kick in anyway so we could have it too (got to love that pudding stomach!) I went for tuna carpaccio with dill creme fraiche and a caper dressing, followed by Lamb shank off the bone with corainder and carrot puy lentils. They were both delicious! The tuna could have been seared a touch more but was beautifully thin and tasty. The lamb, well that was incredible! Melt in your mouth soft and packed with juices and flavour that were just soaked up by the lentil mix. Friends had wood pigeon, veal, guinea fowl aplenty and all were uttering those same delicious yummy sounds that I was. So much so that the pudding stomach was not needed this time, super full! Then the bill came and it was a measly £25 including service charge (which we were more than happy to pay!). I will be back here very soon. Excellent
