I used to love going here. However, the service has gotten really bad. I went in this past Saturday and the older lady (who I learned was the co-owner) greeted me. She berated me for bringing a Rolex into the store. I was confused until she told me they didn't carry Rolex anymore. She took the authenticity card out of the box and then told me I didn't even buy it there so why was I bringing it there. Long story short, she charged me $20 to remove one link. I took my Ulysse Nardin marine chronometer to Anderson Bros. to see if they could order a replacement of the band. I was speaking with a female sales person when a tall, older gentleman walked up and to see what we were discussing. He looked at my watch and said, "It's just an internet brand", and walked away. Actually, Ulysse Nardin is a luxury Swiss watchmaker that has been in business since 1846. According to the last official report of Neuchâtel Observatory in Switzerland, Ulysse Nardin had won numerous awards and honors for its marine chronometers from 1846 to 1975, including 4324 certificates, 2411 special prizes and 10 gold medals at International Exhibitions. By the 1870s, Ulysse Nardin's marine chronometers were in service with over 50 navies and international shipping companies Larry King, Michael Jordan, and Jeff Bezos all proudly wear timepieces from this illustrious watchmaker. The gentleman at Anderson Bros. was obviously attempting to insult me and my choice of watches by declaring it "just an internet brand", but he only succeeded in proving his ignorance. Perhaps he should educate himself prior to attempting to insult customers who enter his shop seeking to make a purchase. I took my watch to a very reputable jeweler in Dallas and they were able to order an OEM replacement band for just under $1200. Anderson Bros is a beautiful store with many nice pieces but they fail miserably in their treatment of customers. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. Be careful when buying here. Make sure the piece of jewelry is actually worth or at least close to worth the price they are charging. Service was friendly and they sell their stuff convincingly well but finding out something you bought is actually worth thousands less than what you paid is infuriating! I am incredibly disappointed that a long time local jeweler would take advantage of customers like that. The ONLY thing Anderson Bros did decent was allow the item to be returned for a full refund. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone. Go somewhere you can trust! read more

I went here to get my Baume & Mercier watch repaired after the dial came loose. I thought they would have to mail it off to the company, but they have an in house watch repairer which was lovely. Not only was the repair price reasonable, I also did not have to wait long to get my watch back. read more

I went in, this lady greeted me, then an older man walked up in a suit with grey hair and looked me up and down. I asked about a few pieces and he was rude, dismissive and arrogant. I both loathe and love Anderson Brothers Jewelers. It is among the more expensive jewelers in the area, but the selection is pretty large and they are able to accommodate just about any request. This is awesome...they can easily design a wedding ring, replace an obscure part of a high end watch, or hook you up with the perfect crystal for your parents anniversary. They are truly a one stop shop for swag. The problem I have with them is a bit more trivial. Anderson Bros is located is a trendier side of town where money is prevalent; if you couldn't tell by the houses and cars in the area you will soon notice when helped by an employee. Don't get me wrong, they are friendly and knowledgeable, but I always get a sense that I'm not a big enough fish for them. For example, I was given a very nice watch when I finished my masters degree. But when talking to a service rep about adding a link all he could do was mention how "you should have been given a Rolex." I tried to politely argue with the guy and explain to him that I preferred the Tag Heuer style to the gaudy Rolex bulk but he just went on and on about trivial items like the little magnification window. I basically ended the argument by referencing the fact that I was a young(er) person and didn't need a magnifying glass to tell the time; he shrugged his shoulders and replied with "but Rolex blah blah blah." I took my mothers diamond ring in for a remount after she passed away! Needless to say I did get a very pretty ring back BUT it wasn't my mothers diamonds, these were a lot smaller! I went back and they assured me that they were the right diamonds and just looked different because of the setting! I know the settings make a difference but not in the size! My husband gave me a Texas Sesquicentennial edition Omega watch in 1986. We live out of state but every time I came home, I took my watch to Anderson Bros for a new battery. Every three years or so they suggested I leave it with them to be cleaned. Last year when I took my watch in, I was told they don't change Omega watch batteries. I told them I had always had it done there and mentioned the cleanings. At that, I was told they don't clean watches because there's really nothing to clean except, maybe, the watch band. They had no record of me, my watch, or any of the rather expensive pieces I've bought. The female clerk that's worked there forever has always been condescending as if she does me a favor. I put up with it because I trusted them. No more. Alas, after all these years, Anderson Bros & I are parting company. Tomorrow, I'm taking my beloved Omega to Thacker's. As a customer of theirs for years, original owners gone, service not the same. Needed no bling, their Waterford crystal pricey. No snooty factor here, their watch battery person was kind to put a battery in my watch, but stated he could not guarantee it would work. He was right. Went in to buy a wedding band as they were having a sale and I just wanted something simple. The salesman was short and rude even telling us that "everyone in town was struggling and the economy was shit" I don't think that's appropriate language to use in front of customers and especially not a lady. I thought about getting a tungsten ring because it would break if I were to smash my hand and I wouldn't possibly break my finger. He laughed at the thought and acted like I was stupid for even thinking about buying a tungsten ring. Why even have them in the store if you're going to laugh at people for wanting them? I settled on a simple gold band and he took it to the front for me to pay and disappeared. No thank you, no anything. I was hoping to maybe look at some watches and an extra band for my fiance but he just disappeared.
