This is my third big project in which I have brought him a piece of molding that is no longer made and he has given me great options or at times found molding almost like it that does the job. Rude and unhelpful , I call Anderson molding as my installer recommended them , I needed plywood I asked the inpatient woman on the phone about the plywood I needed , she repeated that she's Anderson molding 3 times as I asked her politely about plywood . She clearly assumed I knew they had a separate business that's sells plywood , instead of telling me 3 times she's Anderson molding she could have politely told me about Anderson plywood as any reasonable human would do . Took almost a full month to get a basic profile and I still don'thave it. Each person I spoke with kept promising something different. I was told that my material was being milled on Monday and that delivery was possibly Wednesday Thursday at the latest. Call after the delivery which was approximately 11am. Well, a 2 pm Thursday I was told that they were running the material today, Thursday NOT monday l, and I might have it Friday. I haven't really gone in anywhere in 8 months due to COVID-19. That being said, this review is for pre-COVID, with a pinch of during COVID. Joe R is amazing. We purchased a front door from Anderson's and Joe's experience and service style made sure we got the perfect door. He even worked with us regarding delivery because he wanted to make it work. Joe is patient and will go through every catalogue with you until you see one. He's quick to grab the specs and price it out. Now we fast forward to about a month ago. We pull out one of the catalogues he gave us, find an idea of what we want, and text Joe. (You need to text versus call. He explains why). He starts pricing out options and coming up with new options for us. I mean, the guy was even working after business hours because during the pandemic, he wants to make sure customer service doesn't slip. We finally decide on a back door we like. He prices it out: Figures out how to get it delivered and by when. He orders it and sends the invoice all via text (again, the texting is necessary and not impersonal). The only thing is you have to go in to pay, but he came to the cashier counter (distanced and empty in the store) and handled the transaction himself and we were on our way. The only thing I'll add is the delivery company that delivered the front door (prior to the pandemic): The guy was dumb. I tried to find a nicer way but I ultimately went back to "dumb." Sorry. He left the door on the driveway and sidewalk (with me being home). Who does that? Final Word: Bought 2 doors from Anderson and from Joe. We only have 2 doors and we bought them both there. I searched and went to several stores near my house and could not get help because my Marvin French door was not in stock. Then I went to Anderson Moulding in culver city. Joe was extremely rude in store, provided incorrect invoice (small percentage of actual cost of what I was ordering) and then gave me correct invoice with no explanation or apology, and then had to re-verify measurements because "I see so many customers." DO YOUR JOB and perhaps exercise some kindness and humility in the process. Unfortunately I'm stuck ordering my door from this place, but I won't ever be working with this company again. Wow - if I could give this place 0 stars, I would. My boyfriend just ordered $800.00 worth of stainless steel hinges for his house. He ordered them originally in January or so. The order was never placed, and he patiently worked with this "company" to try to place the order for what he needed, and they finally, finally, finally came in. He works downtown, and could not get to the place before it closed today, so I offered to go pick them up after I got off work at 4 pm. If you look this place up on an iPhone, hours are shown as 7:30 to 5 pm. However, when I got there at 4:35 pm, they had just closed. (If you go to their actual web site, it says they close at 4:30 pm). I tried the door, and an older man (manager? owner?) came to the door. He opens the door, rolls his eyes, and sarcastically tells me they are closed. (No shit, Sherlock, then why did you even come to the door?) After fighting in traffic all the way down there and putting money into a broken parking meter, I was in no mood to deal with a sarcastic asshole of an owner/manager. I told him I was there to pick up an $800 order for my boyfriend who had been patiently waiting for several months for it. He asked me who my boyfriend was and I told him. He asked me who he ordered it from, and I told him I think it was Bryce. (Apparantly, it was, but lucky I knew that). I asked if Bryce was there, and he said yes. Then he rudely told me again that they were closed, and I said, okay, well, I guess we will have to pick it up tomorrow. He said they open at 8 am, and closed and locked the door. I called my boyfriend, totally pissed off. He jokingly suggested that maybe if I had flirted a little with the owner, maybe I could have picked it up? Yeah, I don't think I should have to do that, when we are his customers. So I guess boyfriend will be picking it up. I received a tip from a respected carpenter in Culver City that this would be the place to go if I needed baseboard moulding. I needed a very small amount for some repairs and had already visited several lumber yards. As soon as I walked in the gentleman at the front desk helped me out. He immediately identified the baseboard that I needed and showed me the various sizes. He then cut the piece I needed perfectly and I was on my way, all in under 3 minutes. The store has a very cool vibe and TONS of selections. It was really nice to have such a great experience when so many other people had turned me away because I needed such a small amount. I have to say that I have been contracting for twenty years. I have YET to find a door company that is any good. Anderson takes the cake on failure. I spent the LAST 6 weeks waiting for them to deliver on their promise of getting me a quote for doors, and getting quotes on Material. I literally just today received a quote on some hardwood---- and it's been over 6 weeks. I wanted pricing on a door package. I asked over 6 WEEKS AGO and STILL HAVE NOTHING. This company is so full of shit I would NEVER recommend them. I contacted Anderson Moulding in order to have an interior door made. I was referred to Norma, the person who is assigned to work with all customers that want to place an order for a new door with the Torrance and the Culver City stores. I spoke with her in early August with regards to the details and specs of the door that I wanted to have made. I had to continually call and ask to speak to her, over and over again. I left messages without getting a return phone call. Each time we spoke she did not have any information for me regarding my estimate. Each time I waited over a week for a call or an email regarding my request. She asked me at least twice after the initial conversation to provide the information again that I had given to her previously. Finally, when I reached out again she asked me for more information which I had already provided. After just under two months of trying to obtain an estimate for a single door, I have had enough. The amount of time that was wasted in getting an estimate and ordering this door cannot be replaced. I expected a higher level of service and knowledge from this company considering that I have ordered items and spent quite a bit of money for products in the past without these kinds of issues. I have to start this process over with a different company. I welcome working with a competent representative and with a company that values their customers and their time. This has been a horrible experience so be aware and make a better decision when it comes to ordering doors from here. That is of course if you want to obtain the materials for your project in a completely reasonable amount of time. Two major problems with my large order occurred: I was doubly billed early on and my order took 5 months to arrive (this was not a global supply chain issue). With each problem the staff was slow to respond, unprofessional, dismissive, and refused to make concessions despite the inconvenience incurred. I purchased over $3500 dollars in french doors and windows from Anderson Moulding. I had an obvious defect on one of the doors and I have been trying to resolve the issue for almost 2 months now without success. The following have been my attempts: 1) multiple calls and emails. I've corresponded with Ramy, Leyla, and several other employees. By multiple calls I mean over a dozen. 2) an employee from Anderson was supposed to come by my residence to check out the door. I cleared my entire day in anticipation for the site visit. However, the employee was a no show. No call, no email, no heads up--Nothing. If the owner reads this review he is more than welcome to contact me because I have emails and voice messages from me and my spouse to back up everything I've claimed so far. If I could give less stars I would. I've never experienced worse customer service in any industry at any time. We ordered over 50k in windows and doors, which while not over the top, one would think an actual response to a phone call or email would happen in a timely basis (heck even within a week would have been better). After 8 months into or build we were told that the bifold doors could not be produced (way to be on top of things). Windows came in sections, two windows were defect - and still waiting for one to get fixed. Go anywhere else. A teenager at In and Out could do windows better than this place. read more

I know we as homeowners are supposed to purchase the materials, but I had NO idea how to proceed. I asked him from what company should I purchase these items, and he said, "Anderson on Washington." On my 2nd visit here, Adrian (?) came over and asked if I needed help and even cut a couple of small sample moulding pieces so I could take back with me to see if they were a close enough match. He explained to me about the type wood and differences which helped me make some kind of tentative informed decision. Owning, managing and overseeing work on commercial rental property involves a lot of decision making....maybe I look like some helpless, less than knowledgeable woman and why my initial visit 5 days earlier was not very customer service oriented.. 5 stars for Adrian - My initial visit here garners a lousy 2 stars as the guy there wasn't interested in and seemed reluctant to help. Either that or he was ignorant of the inventory or maybe he felt he'd be wasting his time helping me. In fact, I climbed up one of those ladders that roll to try to get a look at the moulding in those upper cubbies before he finally comes over to tell me I am not supposed to be on the ladder. Well, if he had made some effort to assist me, I wouldn't have to help myself - duh Maybe it is the sign of the times, a lot of people are losing their social skills and courtesy; those 'smart' phones are dumbing people down....either that or they just aren't paid enough to care to do their best. 5+ Stars- based on: - Initial Service - Turnaround Time - Friendly, Helpful Staff - Willingness to Admit and Correct their mistakes - Exceptional Service Recovery AND Follow up I needed a custom sliding glass door with aluminum frame. I had been on a roller coaster with a different company and got lucky finding Anderson Moulding and Glass. Azri was very professional and helpful. He put a quote together, we paid the full price and got the order in. I was slightly hesitant based on the fact that no one had come to my house to take measurements. I used measurements supplied by my contractor. I did not receive a purchase order to sign off on- and in hind sight- that should have happened, the production mistake would have been caught. Based on how far I was from the showroom, Azri let me know that his installer would not be willing to drive to Long Beach. I found another installer. Delivery day did not get off to a good start as we had 7:30AM scheduled and my installer was waiting and ready to roll. After several phone calls where I was told "It's on it's way", I finally got the straight answer and it was not on its way. My installer left. The delivery was rescheduled for later in the day. I was not happy. Delivery driver was very nice and helpful- my installer was available to come back and it seemed that everything was going to work out fine (although I was being charged for a second trip- justifiably so.) Then...installer notes that the stationary window panel was on the wrong side...AGHHGHGHG. It was after 5pm and the shop was closed. First thing in the morning, I go to the shop and discuss the issue at hand. Azri admits that he placed the order incorrectly, apologizes and says he will make it right. He contacted his installer, who came out the next day, changed everything around and finished the install. The installers were polite, professional and super efficient. When all was said and done, the beautiful, custom, door was installed and Anderson paid for the additional trip charge from my installer to make up for their delivery issue. So, as you see, this was a bumpy ride, but I highly commend Anderson for doing whatever it took to get the situation rectified. I've said it before, I'll say it again- service recovery is just as, if not more, important than initial service. Anderson/ Azri aced it. read more

I wish I had found this place sooner. They have a lot moulding - base, shoe, crown, chair rail, trim pieces, as well as light fixture medallions, decorative corbels, you name it. Most of it even comes in several choices of wood. I came here on a hunt for reducers (transition strips to go from one type of flooring to another) and they had everything I needed, with choices in red oak, white oak, and maple. The MDF baseboards I recently installed that were special order at Anawalt are available in stock at Anderson. I overheard an employee discussing items with another customer and they mentioned alder, so they may be able to get any type of wood you want if they don't have it stock. The staff is friendly here, too. As an added bonus, it's just on the other side of the 405 from Tito's Tacos, but I recommend walking the other direction to Don Felix Meat Market at Sawtelle and grabbing a taco. These guys used to be great. However, the customer service has been routinely poor in the doors division. Both times I've been quoted doors, the first proposal was way above market rate, and when pressed for better pricing, they provided a proposal that was less than half the original. Shady business practices. On top of that, the responsiveness and accuracy of information received from their salespersons (specifically Joe Rezendes) is very poor. i love anderson. its fully stocked with crown moulding,baseboards,door casing,chairrail,wainscoting,wood paneling,medallions,doors really any type of molding you need. this is where i go.when im doing trimwork installation in the west side. alot of my clients around culver city,ca come here on there own , pick out all the trim moulding or wood doors they need , put in the order and since most of the time they dont have a 16' truck i pick it up for them and professionally install the product. they even have flex molding. so if you have a radius doorway and it doesnt have door casing this is where you can bring your template and they custom make it for you. or if you have a oval entry way you can just buy flex crown molding .nice. they also carry baldwin door hardware and a nice selection of wood doors. the staff are down to earth and very helpful. its easy in and out' if you park in the back by the alley. read more
