Stopped by their showroom off Sepulveda. Lots of options to fulfill your door/window needs in their 2nd floor showroom. My contractor has worked with them for years and the representative was friendly and walked me through the various options as well as told me they have a ton more they could order if what was on the floor didn't fit my needs. Prices were fair for some custom work and will see once everything comes and is installed. Will update my review then. read more

Agree with all the comments about terrible customer service and sales staff. I called today hoping someone could help me to just order a few extra pieces of baseboard and I got Alex on phone who proceed to tell me He should have gone home 8 minutes ago even though they still had 30 mins until closing. Instead of being helpful and looking up my order, which in 2025 should be beyond easy to do, he asked me for the details. In the end he was rude and combative and completely unwilling to help solve a simple problem because he should have left 8 minutes ago. Save yourself the headache and go to all the other supplier that carry all the same product. Home Depot gives better customer service. read more

Thanks to Howard and his staff, my wife and I have a beautiful new front door. Westside Door not only provided us with a great door at a fair price, but also provided extremely helpful advice, including recommending an experienced installer who did an excellent job installing our new door. The Westside Door advice to hire an experienced installer rather than a handyman was absolutely right. My wife and I started the process of replacing our old door knowing next to nothing about how to select a door, an installer, etc. and thanks to Howard, his staff and their expertise, everything worked out well. I highly recommend Westside Door, and also recommend ignoring the few reviews that are critical of them. Of course, Howard's representatives may be busy working with other customers when you walk into the showroom. 2 Things I want to add here. First, the power of Social Media for good when used properly. Second, a result of the first... I got a call from the owner of Westside, Howard. Great guy. Understands the importance of the customer. He resolved my issue immediately. Which encourages me to share an anecdote... whenever you have a problem with a business and you're getting little in return from customer service... reach out to the owner. Chances are the reason he/she/they got into their business is because they cared and probably still do. They probably have the same principals they started with. Howard is that guy. Because of this, I added two stars. I bought Paramount windows from Westside to match the windows on a 1912 Craftsman. The first problem was that they missed the horn details on the sash and had to bring the windows back and have them added on. But after being painted and repeated daily heat from the sun, the seams keep revealing themselves. That was the first issue. Then one of my double paned windows fogged up and we thought it was something on outside of the glass, but it turns out that it's inside. So now we look from the front door through the living room into the backyard through a fogged glass. It's the first thing you see!!! I spent almost a year trying to get this sorted out... First with Westside which was a complete waste of time because they clearly don't care about their customers with problems. I exchanged multiple emails with the reps at Westside and they basically dropped the ball and wouldn't get back to me and when they finally did, they didn't offer any solution. After pointing out the insanity that a window actually fogs up so that you can't see through it, they gave me the phone number for Paramount windows.... and the GM told me I was 4 months within their 5 year warranty... He was very responsive and helpful and said he'd reach out to Westside and come up with a solution. Time passed. I inquired again. He said he was working on it and speaking with the owner of Westside. This sequence repeated... over and over again. I explained that I was about to paint my house and he told me that it wasn't that much work to repaint them. Nice. So I have to have my painters back to paint the windows that should have been fixed months before. He kept making promises that he would deal with the matter. That started in June of 25. And after multiple attempts and "trying to work out a deal with the owner of Westside" to resolve the matter, nothing happened. Now it's End of January 26. Finally, I called Paramount again and got on the phone with their "warranty rep" who explained to me that Paramount has new owners and they switched the warranty to 4 years, so now I'm out of warranty. But the GM told me I was within the warranty! So now they've offered me windows at cost with no service to repair. Now my house is painted, so I have to pay for glass "at cost", cut the trim out, install the windows and repaint them. So am I to understand that double pained windows are disposable? They have a 4 year lifespan? That's ridiculous. The whole thing is pathetic. All in all a horrible experience with both Westside and Paramount. Horrible customer service. Horrible follow through. Clearly a deep disdain for their customers. I would steer clear of both places. I couldn't be anymore disappointed. read more

In 2022 I bought 4 Marvin custom made windows with the express understanding that the interior was to be pine colored fiberglass. I dealt with Mr. Alex Caceres. The windows were shipped to my home sealed, and stored in my basement. All of 2023 was marred by a neighboring fires set by homeless people that prevented construction. Early-mid 2024 was another pause due to illness. When I finally got to them in late 2024, I discovered that the interior was "pine wood" with no fiberglass as specified. I called and emailed their offices but was ignored. Reaching out to Ganalh Lumber Pasadena (Yeay Cori Cash!!) I learned that a special license was needed by a window company for fiberglass interiors. Clearly Westide Door didn't have it. End result, I was lied to, and lost well over $12,000 in the transaction. Another reviewer used the word "gaslighting"....It's more like flat out lies. I will never again work with these guys guys. Best to work with Ganalh or one of the other direct window providers. read more

Truly the rudest, most dismissive staff I've ever encountered. I walked into their showroom looking for doors and windows that I need to order in a fairly large quantity. Every rep was either eating, deep into their phones, and far too busy to even make eye contact. I had the nerve to ask one for assistance. He looked at me with utter disdain and said everyone was busy. He then pointed me to the back of the showroom and said try back there. Honestly---how do these people stay in business. This might be the single worst experience I've ever had at a business. Things happen, mistakes can be made, but you should NEVER lie to a customer, gaslight them, dismiss them, disrespect them and be rude. Like many of the reviews I see here, my contractor referred me, I spoke to someone on the phone and they told me to come down anytime and pick out my doors, no problem. When my wife and I showed up, we were completely ignored. It was as if we didn't exist. After about 15 minutes, when they finally looked up from their phones and computers, they acted like we were crazy to just come down there - by multiple people. They denied that they would ever tell anyone to come to the showroom. They could care less about our needs, It was going to get ugly, so I took myself out of the situation and went outside where a woman from "Customer Service" (ha ha) continued with the same gaslighting. My wife made peace with them while i waited outside, so I came back in, where it took all of 2 minutes to pick out a door with a new guy who claimed to work with my contractor. He said he knew our contractor and would let him know what we picked out, no problem, sorry for the confusion! It's now about 3 weeks later, and my contractor heard NOTHING from this salesman. The ineptitude and sheer lack of basic decency and respect from this place is shocking. I know exactly how HOWARD is going to respond... "My guys tell a completely different story!". Well, Howard, either your guys are lying or you are lying. Whatever the case, there is a clear pattern here in the many negative reviews. I've let my contractor know how little you care for customers. Things go wrong in any business, but it's how you and your employees respond that is the common issue in your numerous negative reviews. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. If they would treat a customer like this, what other dishonest things are going on behind the scenes? The worst experience I've ever had with a sales company. I went in to the office to shop for a sliding door. I was ignored by all the salespeople who were either eating at the desk or surfing on their phones. I eventually got someone's attention, and got a quote on a sliding door. I went home to think about it, and called my contractor to see if she could maybe get a discount through contractor's rates. She called the showroom and they said, yes, they can offer at 10%-15% discount for contractors if she drives into LA and comes into the store in person. To help me out, she drove in from the valley to help me buy the door. The only person in the showroom when we arrived was a man called Alex. When she told him that she had come in to help get the lower rate, he laughed in her face and said "You better find the person you spoke to because I'm definitely not going to give that to you." Every time she tried to ask who she might have spoken to or who answers the phones or if there was anyone else she could talk to, he kept interrupting her, or taking a phone call in the middle of her question, and making rude comments about us. Eventually, another salesperson walked in us and heard our what we were saying about the 15% discount offered on the phone and he said "Sound like you're f*&king lying to me." Alex laughed. We left. It could have been the easiest sale in the world. I was completely ready to buy the door, even if they had been unable to offer the 15% discount, if they'd just treated us like human beings and been decent, but they (particularly Alex) acted like schoolyard bullies. They were especially brutal towards my female contractor; I was embarrassed to have brought her there. Looking at the comments here, I'm not the only one who has been treated this way by Alex, and I have no idea how he still has a job, as he's clearly costing them lots of easy business. The owner appears to apologize to people, but he really needs to let that a$$hole go. I took my business elsewhere, and bought a door from another company. It was effortless and cheaper. I asked this guy if he can help me with casing since he was the one closest to the display. When I initially called Alex was very helpful in getting my order in and payment processed quickly. But he wasn't attentive at all when I was asking questions about the size of the rough opening, etc. which is costing me extra money for my contractor now to adjust the opening. Additionally, when we went to pick up the doors one of them was damaged. Now, that is fine as long as they make it right, but I called Alex 5 times and not received a call back. I spoke with Melissa who has been wonderful in helping to sort it all out, which is the reason I took this up from 2 to 3 stars. I'm a GC with a residential project in LA. My client seemed to have a very high opinion of West Side.. So we set up an appointment - and went... The sales person to see - wasn't there... Funeral... Em.... OK... So we described our project to another guy, exactly what are looking for...And here are my misgivings.. 1 - He didn't show us one example of the type of product we want. 2 - He offered us 2 companies and they don't offer the style of product we want. 3 - Oh, forgot - I use to own a door and window company... servicing the Primary Contractors up to 25 MFD Units.. We're talking up to $500,000, plus transactions. 4 - So while I'm talking to this salesperson he referred to a segmented Arch door as an Arch door (NOT!) - (Typically referred to as a eye brown) then in an attempt to cover his mistake and showed me what is called at "Draped Arch" and told me that was an eyebrow... (Arch - Segmented Arch - Draped Arch- That guy had (NO CLUE) 5. So while he schmoozed with my client - I took out my phone, googled, and corrected his boggus arched inventions. 6. CONCLUSION - This guy did virtually nothing to earn a sale or educate the potential buyer. Of Course - I looked up the 2 companies he referenced, neither of which offered the style we're looking for. So, what was the point in going to this showroom... I never, not for one second, felt this guy wanted to earn my business... or even understood what I was talking about. 7. So, off we go - back to the drawing board... and my client says to me, "Matt, you kind of Slammed that guy, didn't you? and I said "yes, I did" "Why, she asked" lol... "That's what you pay me for, to sort out the professionals from the HACKS... As one guy said above, NO Passion for the Profession - Yes - he was spot on...! BTW- Howard... This time you're hearing from a guy who knows the industry - Knows the prevailing standards... and isn't impressed - Here, check one of my old projects - All the exterior windows and doors... We had a very positive experience with Westside. Buying replacement windows is one of those projects where we didn't know all the things we to didn't know. Robert K. saved us from this fate by walking us through the entire process of choosing the right vendor, from the crank style selection, to finishes (on both the hardware and the interior), to figuring out what "split trim" was for the doors we needed. The point is we felt like they both know what they are doing and really understood our project. In the end, everything showed up on time with ALL of the pieces needed to make sure the installer could do everything efficiently. You would think there would be management changes (for the better) considering this place has more 1 Star reviews than it does 5. The Customer Service Rep., who is the first person you deal with upon calling is a nightmare. First impressions are everything. She talked over me, claimed the customer name was not in their records (which proves her incompetence since I was looking right at the work order) and then couldn't connect me to an available sales rep. She will ALWAYS forward you to their email and act as though no one is available. However, if you connect to a sales rep via their extension or provide and exact name to her you will magically be connected to them in less than 2 rings -- sounds like their more than available to me. They're hungry for work. I got in contact with Alex last Tuesday. Provided the necessary information and asked that he confirmed when my simple order, a floor guide, was ready. Today, exactly a week later, I reach out to him because I never received a call. He sounded confused and had to "go check". Not quick enough to put me on hold, but to "call me back". In other words, he never put the order through and is currently scrambling to either order or find one in stock. That was 10 minutes ago. I've had enough time to sit and contemplate writing this review, reschedule the contractor and write this extensive review. No call back. I'm sure my boss has given your company more than enough business and I will be sure to make my priority task to find a better company to throw his money at. Strangest experience I've had at a place of business. Went in to get help on buying hardware for 20 doors on my renovated home. Was asked if I bought the doors there, to which I replied no. Was told that I should go to the place that I bought my new doors from because it would be easier (because of measurements and what not, which I wouldn't have much of a problem providing to them!). Never had a business turn down my business before! Congratulations to them if they don't need business! That's a good place to be in these times. I live close so it was easy to see their doors. No one asked if they could help. I saw Carlos at his desk and asked him if he could help me. He pointed to where the doors were. I wanted the same one. He gave me a price and I asked about installation. He gave me a name and phone number and said the installer would call him to let me know the measurements. The installer I talked to said he would be there the next day at 8 am. And he was. He told me he would contact Carlos the next day. Didn't hear anything so emailed Carlos twice, no response. I went back into the store. Apparently, the installer had not called him. He did call right then and got the measurements. I asked him about his emails and he says he usually is way behind. He's been there for 30 years. I am sure they want the big jobs then just say that. The door was in stock. No one called me to say it was in. I called the installer and set up today at 2. He texted back so hopefully, he will show up as he did to measure. Never heard a word from Carlos. Terrible customer service. Two friends had the same results. One went to another place and one was going to go this week to see where is windows were ( ordered months ago). Apparently, order was never put in properly. Will not go again. Must say Carlos recommended the best installer, Lorenzo. He was nice enough to prime the top, bottom and sides for me. He has worked with this business for 35 years. Then they stuck inferior product into the custom order anyway. Now we've waited months and they've had our money for months and I'm in tears. I don't usually write reviews but I was very happy that I selected Westside Door because they were so helpful. I never bought a door before and had no idea what to do. I called Westside and spoke to Jamie and he explained everything I needed to have before ordering. When I went into the store Jamie showed me sample doors and helped me narrow them down. Everything went smoothly on the ordering and delivery. Not one problem. Even the delivery people were helpful in placing the door out of the way for me. What I also liked is that they have all levels of pricing. Having shopped around the quality of the door is really good and strong and pricing is very competitive. The customer service is excellent. I had a question after my purchase and they called me back pretty quickly. I will use them from now on. read more

I feel a 2 star rating is somewhat generous, but there were moments of working with them that were in-line with basic expectations, this was typically before an order was placed when they are trying to finalize a sale. The consistent issue we encountered over 2 different orders is communication - as many other reviewers have commented. Getting someone to respond (there is no such thing as proactive communication with them) in a timely manner with clear and accurate information was next to impossible, particularly after the order is placed. My assumption is that the root cause issue is understaffing and inadequate training for employees. Customer service is poor, the amount of time we had to invest (chasing employees) in getting basic information during the process is not acceptable. read more

I have stood right in front of their desks and waited 15 minutes without any acknowledgment that I'm there. Mind you, there is not a single customer in the place. The salesmen are rude, to the point of downright nasty. They don't want to show you anything. They make little snide remarks, they huff and puff and get mad for no reason. They don't return phone calls or emails, and when you finally get ahold of them they lie through their teeth about not getting any messages. And when I came in today to finally place my order with Salvadore they saw me and all pretended to be doing something else and ignored me for 5 minutes until I finally said "Hello". The guy actually said "Yeah, what do you want?" I said "I'm here to purchase doors, and he was so annoyed that I was there. Then I told him I had spoke to Salvadore once before and he threw down his paperwork and left the room. When he can back he said "He just sat down to eat in the other room you have to wait". I asked "How long?" And he said, "However long it takes. I don't know maybe an hour". I asked if anyone else could place the order and he said "No!" This place is F'd up. And when I read the other reviews I am so glad I didn't place an order with them, because it sounds like their service is even worse after you place an order, and it looks like they mess so many things up. Today I dealt with Jamie and he would not give straight or concise answers to be helpful or problem solve. When we finally got someone to "help",we literally said "WE KNOW NOTHING ABOUT WINDOWS, WE NEED HELP", we got glazed eyes and then "well, what kind of windows do you want? ". I asked if there was anything besides the few display windows in the upstairs show room that we could look at and he said "well, there's a few brochures". Even though he had about 15 thick binders behind him at his desk, he had nothing else to show us or tell us about? He stared a lot. We kept saying we know nothing, can you guide us or help us. We were like begging him to let us spend thousands of dollars on new windows and we got the bare minimum of help. He was short, not very enthusiastic and didn't listen when we actually tried to get a price for something. We kept having to repeat our measurements and correct all his numbers. What a mess... whaaaaaaaat a complete waste of time. When you're willing to spend the kind of money it takes to replace all the windows in your house, it would be nice to get someone that's interested in helping, knowledgeable of products and pays attention. read more

I make my living as a sliding glass door repairman. A while back, one of my old customers had one of her sliding doors ruined by an attempted burglary. This is a large house full of bronze aluminum sliding doors and windows. She had called some door installation companies who came out and told her that white vinyl doors are the only currently available choice. She called me, I referred her to Westside Door. I had an occasion to be at this house again on Friday and the customer showed me the matching bronze door that Westside had installed.
