This is a tiny little neighborhood place. Everyone knows everybody. Thursday is but one burger get another for$5. There's a list of special burgers and regular burgers. One of the burgers can be special, but not both, even though they are just$1 different in price. They have gotten a little creative. I had a double decker. Part burger part ham and cheese. It was very tasty. My daughter got the chicken fingers, they were fried to a crisp. Most of the burgers are plain ol. Those fries seemed to be fresh made but they were limp and oily. They looked nasty. I wouldn't have ordered them had I known they'd be like this. Chips are usually the side to any burger unless you upgrade. It was so small and dark. I think this place is basically a meeting place for drinkers. There was just one other table dining in, everyone else was drinking. I think I'd pick-up up an order one day on my way home from work, since it's on the way. read more

I used to come here a lot with family and the staff was always so kind, funny, and upbeat. The newer staff has some really great people, too. There is one server that I am not very fond of however. She doesn't bring laughs to the table like the others and doesnt check up on you too often. I do not know the correct word to describe her attitude. The college students that work there are always a joy to be served by. The food is pretty good too, always great burgers. I recommend the hankie spankies! read more

Great old pub feel and some of the Best hamburgers in town. Also fell in love with their buffalo chicken strips.

Haven't been there since it changed ownership and thought the place would have changed. As before, if you're not a regular the service isn't the same. The regulars come first and everybody comes next. Doesn't seem like a good concept to grow your business but it's not my business. Wife and I decided to sit at the bar and have a burger. While waiting for our food I kept noticing that one of their servers had an insatiable love affair with his hair as he kept rubbing his hands thru it. After witnessing him constantly doing this and then grabbing some sliced lemons from the bar that is used to put in customers' drink orders I finally spoke up and told the bartender that I was no longer interested in waiting on our food order. Absolutely disgusting. We got up and left. As we were leaving the parking lot, one of their bar patrons ran into the parking lot and started hollering at us. Staple of life in Anderson Township. This bar slash restaurant is a great little dive to stop in and have a quick meal and a beer. Patio outside his TVs fire pit in a mini golf course to boot. read more

I was in the Pub for lunch Thursday with a group of 12 or so. The results were not so good - mixed up orders, cold food, over cooked burgers. Sigh. Great big juicy hamburgers, cooked the way you like. Small seating area to the right as you walk in. Beer is cold and fresh. Service is casual. I guess the "regulars" get more attention. Interior could use sprucing up. Definitely a neighborhood bar. read more

ATP is a cozy, divey type bar. I totally get it as as place the locals will hang out. I haven't tried the burgers, which I heard were good. We apparently ordered all the wrong things and I was pretty underwhelmed. Wouldn't recommend the fried mushrooms. Service was super nice, however, and while I probably would not go out of my way to get back there, I will have to try a burger if I do. Or just order drinks. read more

This is a good pub where you can go in jeans and a ball cap and relax. Staff is friendly and food is great!! I've only been during the summer and they have a front patio so you can enjoy the weather. I plan on going back. read more

The Anderson Township Pub (ATP) is definitely a neighborhood type place, where the regulars get more attention. The regulars are mostly an older crowd (45+). It is a pretty casual place in terms of food and service. Neither are spectacular, but you can usually do OK there. ATP specialties are burgers and wings. I was not wowed by the burgers, but the wings are pretty good and different than you might find at some places. They are served with the wing sauce on the side. It is family friendly with about 10 TVs for watching sports or whatever suits you. They have a special side room near the front door which is dedicated to watching programs other than sports. They do have a regular crowd for some of these shows. ATP is not a huge place and can be cramped if there is a crowd. The inside is dimly lit and mostly, without windows. It is a good, but not great, place to go eat a casual dinner or have a few drinks with friends read more

This is a bar first, restaurant second. Once you understand that, you'll probably be fine with this business. Has obviously been around quite a while, it appears to have a stable set of regular customers who sit at the bar and know each other. Probably a very fun place on the weekend if you can mix in with the crowd. Very dark inside, not the cleanest place in the world but the servers keep the tables wiped and set. A bit of an unpleasant smell; I think it was a mix of old fryer grease and Pine-Sol. Jukebox with a good assortment of songs to please pretty much anybody. Burgers are pretty good, a hefty chunk of beef that seems fresh if a bit dry, thick fresh rolls. Cold beer. That's about where the kudos for the food ends ... vegetables (inc. burger toppings) seem a bit old and have an off-flavor, almost as if they've been washed in one of these new-fangled chemical-based vegetable cleaners. Salads are mostly iceberg lettuce. All hot food was at best warm, slightly above food temperature. All prices very reasonable, but as I said, go for the drinks and the "friendly locals" atmosphere, not for the food. read more

Wow. Where do I begin. I've been here several times before, but this will likely be the last. I was amazed the server had the audacity to hand me a bill at all, much less one for $42. My taco salad shell had probably been sitting in the closet for several years. The unadventurous iceberg lettuce salad within made me regret not visiting good ol Taco Bell for half the price. My girlfriend ordered the Caesar Chicken Salad, so when she was served a taco shell as well, I asked what she had ordered. Our server, Kathy (I know this because I had to ask HER name, not vice versa), confidently chimed "same thing as you." Not. Her meal came after I had finished mine. Evidently, Caesar salad consists of iceberg lettuce, not romaine, and I'm sure the croutons were surprised that they were candidates for food, given they too had probably been wandering around the kitchen since the 1800s. I'm sorry, but if you're going to suck at something, don't serve it. I've had the burgers and wings here and they're ok (a tad dry always). I really could have done better at . . . . McDonald's. Outstanding burgers and wings, it is also loaded with HD TVs and is a superb place to watch a game . The daily soups are also a favorite and you can't go wrong with the carrot cake for dessert. I am new to the Anderson area and my family and I were told to try this place. We went last Saturday for dinner. Overall the food was very good but our waitress (blonde w/curly hair) was not at all friendly. She seemed overwhelmed serving two tables and the service she provided was very slow. After 7pm it became a heavy bar scene of 50 and 60 year-olds. In my opinion it's not very family friendly, so we don't plan to come back but the older crowd of what appeared to be regulars were having a good time. read more
