We have a GE Cafe double oven that quit working during a self clean cycle. We had trouble finding someone here on the peninsula to repair the unit. When Anderson Appliance first showed up we were very excited and optimistic. At first they were very professional and communication was great. They made three trips and installed several new parts but could not get it fixed. The reason we chose Anderson Appliance is because they are a certified GE repair professional so they have access to GE technical which only certified repair specialist get access. The problem is they did not want to utilize the expertise. Yes they called in a couple times but they didn't want to continue to trouble shoot utilizing GE support and ultimately fix our unit. Instead they just packed up and left and won't return our calls. I 100% offered to pay for there time and parts. I understood it would take time and parts. This unit is not available to replace and the color has been discontinued. Fixing the item is our only option and the one person that has replaced parts and has time invested just left us hanging. I am very disappointed and this is very unprofessional as we are limited here on the peninsula. I don't often write reviews, but I would not want someone else to have this happen to them. read more

Contacted Andersons, as they were listed on the Kitchen Aid website, had prompt responses for scheduling both thru Kitchen Aid and direct from Andersons. They showed up early within scheduled time window, were very knowledgeable and had the issue fully resolved in under an hour. I was impressed by the other reviews of this local service and contacted them about my ice maker. I have no doubt the Jim, the service man, is superior in his service and knowledge, but I never made it past his "doorkeeper" which I suppose to be his wife. She refused to consider my requirement because the ice-maker was old and I could not find the model number. I am an experienced engineer and know that the part I needed could be replaced by a universal valve of various brands or models, but she was emphatic that it would be impossible and claimed that her twenty years of experience was final evidence of that impossibility. I am so disappointed in the fact that I could not talk to or see the technician. I am confident he could have fixed my appliance. read more

Jim Anderson came out to repair a faulty control panel on my $2200 gas range. Although it ultimately was a simple repair, he spent additional time teaching me about how to avoid future damage to the control panel and even showed me how to use the fan to suck steam off a boiling pot of water. Jim Anderson came to look at our refrigerator and easily fixed what was making it leak a little water on the floor. After I paid for the job we chatted about other appliances in our kitchen. I learned something very useful about each one: Raising the upper rack in the dishwasher so the soap dispenser could empty. Best of all, Jim adjusted the gas burners on the cook top so they would simmer at a lower temp. He taught me how to clear lime deposits from the dishwasher and sink faucet and how to clean out the drain by the sink faucet from where the dishwasher drains. He explained why the oven door should always be closed when broiling and after turning the oven off. We should have had Jim here when we built our house 8 yrs. ago to make these adjustments and show us all of this. Thank you!!! We would give you 10 stars! read more
